I bought this for a twelve year old for Halloween and it has been a great success.
It is decadently swooshy and very dramatic.
In fact her aunt took it away to wear at her office Christmas Party over a very short sequined dress!
We tested the XL size, which was perfect for a 5ft2 female. The sizing is obviously aimed at kids, but this is actually a really nice cape for adults too.
Super soft & comfortable satin. Decent quality.
This is a brilliant cape, it feels lush, the hood and ties are great also. Plenty of material to tie it up and plenty of material in the cape. This is a definite vampire swooshing cape! Made to last too, good quality. The best Little Red Riding Hood cape you will find
Well, this is a bit of a show stopper for Halloween. With the right makeup this should scare the living daylights out of the most macho of men !
Effectively it is a hooded cape which ties around underneath the chin. It Is satin (which sounds a bit like ‘Satan’) and looks spectacular.
It should also wash OK on a cool machine wash but I think Iwould prefer using hand wash to keep those creases away.
This is indeed a fine Halloween garment and is only sslightly let down by the sizing which I would say is on the slightly larger side. You might possibly want to consider going one down. Other than that, this is spectacular, and will really get the party going come the night itself. Good value for the price of darkness too.
I’m very impressed at how well made this is, all the seams are neatly finished and well sewn.
The size is pretty generous and with dark clothes underneath at Halloween it’s going to look amazing.
The fabric is good quality and has a lovely sheen to it.
It has a generous tie at the neck and a hood that can cover the eyes if wanted or can be pushed back a bit.
It’s much better made than a lot of costumes and I’d definitely recommend it.
A cool fun cape. Nicely mad the shimmer from the dark red is cool when the light hits it. Light enough to blow in the wind. Simple to pop on with the two tie cords and will be cool as part of a Halloween outfit.
This is a long hooded costume cape which trials to the ground. You should keep the long length in mind if you are considering it for use outdoors or dancing in it. The cape is fairly thin and lightweight, so it can be swished about. The garment is well made. Good value for money.
Halloween is nearly here and I’ve been told I’m taking my daughter trick or treating this year so I thought I’d get something to go with the led mask I already have from scaring kids who knocked on our door last year. I just wanted something minimal to go with the mask so this will do the job and the medium is plenty big enough for me being 5’9″. The cloak is quite nice and the material is good quality with one side having a satin finish., however for what it is I think the price of 24.99 at the time of review is a little on the high side and I would expect it to be sub 20. Price aside it should serve it’s purpose well and I therefore recommend it.
The size is generous.
I went for XXXL – and yep, those Xs are merited. Even if you’re a tad over 6-ft it’s still going to trail significantly (which may or may not suit your requirements).
The design is simple, but surprisingly elegant.
I went for the mahogeny red coloured version; and it comes with nice, subtle, dark textured printing on it that gives it a distinctive fantasy appearance.
The fabric has a distinct artificial plastic-y feel to it – both the outer layer and the liner; but in this case it feels thick and rugged enough that it won’t just fall apart.
It is a solid choice as part of a Halloween costume – I could imagine a LARPer or D&D dungeon master using it to add some ambience to a game. A red wizard of Thay would be most at home wearing it.
However, the price-point might be a little excessive – it is only one component of a costume, so a pretty steep investment if you can’t come up with a way to get a decent amount of use out of it. It wouldn’t really be appropriate in any other setting other than as a novelty dress-up costume piece.
