Brought the movie theatre and Miami one to do on a family getaway, was really fun but quite difficult! There is a website to get extra clues from but a fun couple of hours!
This kept four adults occupied all evening, might not have helped that we were enjoying a wine or two at the same time though!
It was brilliant fun, easy to play but with a great level of thought and some pretty difficult thinking to do! Can’t wait for the next one please!
Absolutely amazing! Me and my partner had a fab time solving all the clues to find the murderer. We are buying another one to take to play with our family. Hopefully get a discount code for our next one!
My partner and I spent an entire evening solving this case and it is simply brilliant ! It was our first of the cryptic killers and certainly won’t be our last. It took us 4 hours to solve this well put together mystery and we couldn’t recommend it enough. Definitely value for money.
It is extremely detailed and amazing for family/friends bonding! Comes with loads of evidence and tests your abilities. Best with group effort. Even comes with a checklist to make sure you have all of your evidence and if not you get a link to download it for free. 10/10 recommend.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed solving this mystery. Once we found our feet we were well away! Our kids (15/11) didn’t stick around too long help us out but were interested to know who it was when we solved it!
Highly recommend. It was both challenging and enjoyable.
Really enjoyed the story, as always the level of detail is brilliant as is the evidence and material. We have done all but 1 of these packs and this was the only one we felt it was missing a slight detail which would have tied things together. Would still buy the next one when it comes out, just felt this one was just missing something
Amazing value for money! Was so fun to do as a group of 3, we also all said we’d enjoy to do one alone too! Such good quality, I loved the different papers used, Polaroids & use of the web to listen to phone calls.
You can tell the small team have really put so much thought into making this, the detail of everything from packaging to storyline was impeccable.
We thoroughly enjoyed this and can’t wait to get another! We felt like real detectives.
This was our fifth cryptic killers game (this week they’re rather addictive) and def one of their best. I understand it’s the latest release. With a 4.5/5 difficulty rating, you can expect around 3 hours of game play and lots of twists and turns and red herrings. I loved this one didn’t present you with a suspect list. At one point I think we had about 15 names on our list. We ‘guessed’ quite quickly the main plot and twist, but no way we commit to the answer until all evidence scanned and rescanned and our assumptions verified. We made that mistake once in an earlier game, and I’m still gutted we ‘wrongly convicted’ and had to review the case in a retrial to find the real killer.
The quality of these packs is fabulous. I love having this as a physical game to pore over the various pieces of evidence.
Didn’t have to look up any hints this time, but we have learned to methodically pour over all evidence. There was so much to go through in this pack. The wee touches like perforated computer paper was the perfect 80’s nostalgia.
This company can not make these games fast enough for me now! Whilst 20 is a reasonably high price point for a one off ‘game’, it’s still a bargain when you think what you spend on an escape room or similar. And for me, the quality and work behind the product makes it worth every penny.
Really recommend. And, safe to say, everyone on my list is going to end up with them for Christmas!!!
Another fantastic murder mystery from Cryptic Killers. These sets are a fantastic way to while away a few evenings whilst bringing out your inner super sleuth. This is the second one of these I have done and they’re just the right level of challenging without being impossible. The devil is in the detail and you really have to study all the included evidence to find your killer.
Brilliant idea for date night, really fun and challenging case. Wouldn’t recommend as your first as we didn’t read the difficulty but managed it in 3.5 hours with help from hints! Salute to the creators of this case as we really enjoyed cracking it !!
This is the third case file we have done and we loved it! Very different to the others and this one challenged us the most, which was great. The amount of detail that went in to this is insane. We can’t wait to try out anothe
We love this series. It’s so good working out what is a clue, what is a red herring and what is just background info. The story was complicated but you could piece it together and everyone’s actions were logical. Absolutely brilliant fun.
Took us 2 evenings to solve, we were delighted when we cracked it.
We’ve played all of these games by Cryptic Killers now. We’ve also played a lot by other people and can honestly say these are by far the best! Murder in Miami was my favourite! It was so well put together and even though it took us a while to solve we never got bored! Highly recommend! It would be tricky if this was your first one but there are lots of great hints available on the page so you could definitely solve the case!
