USB C to HDMI Multiport Adapter 4K@60Hz Output, 10Gbps 3 In
USB C to HDMI Multiport Adapter 4K@60Hz Output, 10Gbps 3 In 1 USB C Hub Type-C PD 100W Fast Charging Port & USB 3.1 Port, Compatible for Chromebook X2/X360, Samsung Galaxy S8/S9, HP Spectre
I ordered this item for one purpose; to enable me to watch from my huge selection of movies on my HDD on my tablet in the camper. It does this very well and the resulting broadcast quality is excellent. Obviously, everything looks sharper on a smallish screen, but I am more than happy with the result.
So far, I have watched movies, used it to back up from a standalone camera via the phone to the OneDrive, looked at photos on the bigger screen, and probably other things I have forgotten. It is more useful than I expected and takes up very little space. Great little gadget.
Got this in order to use my phone with a monitor whilst also charging it when using my bike trainer. Works flawlessly. No messing around, plug and play and I was able to stream what I wanted indefinitely, no more battery concerns.
At 15.99, at the time of writing,

Is a sleek, cool, and efficient hub.
But is it any good?
Is it any bad?
Nobody says that, ever, do they?
Well, to answer some of these questions, at least, we should put on our reviewing hats, here’s mine : , and get serious, with serious faces, as we take a closer look …
This arrives in a nice, brown paper effect, printed on plastic bag.
It will recycle just fine.
Very nice .
Out of it’s sleeve, and it’s a nice looking hub.
It looks nice and sleek, matching the clean lines of my laptop nicely.
It’s simple, without fuss, and it looks cool
All plugged in, accordingly, noting all the warnings and restrictions displayed on it’s product information page… I suggest you check before ordering… there’s quite a list!
It was all ready to go.
My laptop was hooked up to my TV.
The hub was powered up.
The hub was connected to my mobile phone.
And boom…
We were up and running.
It worked perfectly first time
The picture and images were clear, interference free and with no glitches.
It was charging my laptop nicely.
It was synching my laptop with my phone too.
All seamlessly and without any fuss.
Very nice indeed.
So, overall…
I have to recommend it.
It’s a cool wee hub.
It does exact as it advertises, and performed flawlessly.
I like your hat . It goes well with your eyes.
Four stars :
.
I hope you enjoyed our time together .
Thank you for reading my review .
Handy little adapter – with only a few options, but a few very helpful options.
All testing so far has indicated clear and fast transfers.
I do question why it needs to be quite so big, with only three options.
I have several other similar devices, and allowing for the size of each, they all offer more options
However this is nonetheless a nice flat and useful adapter.
This is a very convenient adapter that solves a common problem that many new laptops have: the USB C data connector is also the USB C charging port. This adapter solves that problem providing a USB-C fast charging port (100W PD), but at the same time it gives you two additional ports: a high resolution HDMI port (up to 4K@60Hz) and a high speed data transfer USB 3.1 port (10 Gbps). This little adapter will cover most of your everyday needs: charge your laptop during your working session while you are connected to your external monitor and have access simultaneously to an external hard drive. The adapter is super light and compact. It’s ideal to carry around. The cable seems sturdy and long enough for its purpose. The adapter seems well-made, so hopefully it stands the everyday use. This adapter is just plug and play (no need for any driver), this functionality makes it easy to expand your workspace. Despite of the fact that the product seems a generic adapter as many others of its kind available on Amazon (it’s packed in a generic bag without any brand name and the only brand inscription on the product is on the USB C connecter -that might be added at the end of the manufacturing process to particularise it for a specific brand), I think that this adapter will cover everyone’s most common needs, fulfilling its duties.
My laptop is a MacBook Air – which is light a portable, but with the downside that it only has USB-C ports. I need to carry an adaptor with me to be able to connect to printers, external monitors and the like. This adaptor is perfect for carrying with me every day: light enough to travel in my backpack, and sturdy enough to survive for when I need it.
The adaptor has a USB-C port that you can use as a pass-through power connection, and HDMI 2 and USB 3 ports – just everything you need in a package small and light enough to stay in your bag.
It feels reassuringly well-built enough to last being carried around all day, and the connection cable is long enough to be useful, but not so it will get tangled in your bag.
It’s a really simple and useful adapter, and I have already replaced my older and heavier version for this much more portable version as my everyday carry.
This is a neat little unit (see picture, not much larger than a UK 50p). The male connector is a USB-C which is a good snug fit with my DELL XPS13. I imagine it would fit all USB-C compatible devices. There are three female connections on the hub itself. HDMI, USB 3.1 and a USB-C power out. I have tested the HDMI and USB 3.1 (with two simultaneous connections) and it worked a treat. Good, strong, TV output with sound from the video out port on the laptop, whilst the device connected to the USB (a wireless trackball) worked fine also. I extended the laptop screen effectively with no problems.
It’s dinky, as you can see, so is ideal for travelling. If you need a bit of a lengthier cable, this is not for you. As I lecture a lot, the combination of an HDMI connection and a spare port into which I can plug a “clicker” for presentations is really useful.
At this price-point or less there are lots of similar items on Amazon, but I am happy with the value for money this provides. This is a sturdy little item that will be going into my kit bag when I travel to clients.
This is a lightweight USB-C to HDMI adapter that can be used for connecting your mobile to the HDMI of the TV where you are staying to watch movies and other streamed programmes. I first bought a cable that did the same job but there was a problem with that in that the phones battery was heavily used whilst streaming but the charging socket was in use by the HDMI cable. This device allows you to charge your phone whilst outputting the video over the same USB-C port. It is stated to take up to 4K over HDMI but my mobile does not have that capability.
This little box comes in deceptively plain packaging. It is an opaque brown plastic pouch, resembling an old pack of sweets. Nothing on the packaging indicates what is inside, or provides any branding information beyond a sticker. At first glance this does not give much confidence.
The device itself is also very generic but does have the brand name on the USB C connector. From this we can assume it is exactly as it appears – mass produced and generic. The only concern here is that the brand name on the sticker does not match the product. However, it does match the Amazon listing itself, so it gets a pass for now. Inside there are no instructions, however this is a very self explanatory device.
The cable is sturdy, and as short as is expected. The case is metal but not weighty (important for me as it will be dangling over the side of my desk). It does not feel like it will fall apart easily.
Today I am using this to replace a similar device which does not perform as expected. My current hub has 2 USB 3s, PD pass through, and HDMI out. Whenever I run DRM video content, the old device resets; and when I unplug the PD on the old one it crashes.
Test 0: Does it power up? While there is no LED indicator, it is on almost immediately. Unlike the old hub, this is keeping cool.
Test 1: Can I watch DRM videos? Pass! I am now watching the Barbie movie.
Test 2: Can I unplug PD? Failed! The device resets on unplugging PD. The screen goes blank, the OS disconnects. It does recover after a few seconds, but this is a little disappointing.
Test 3: Does the USB work? While I have not attempted to use USB 3 and only a USB 2 device, after connecting *the correct device* it worked perfectly well. PEBKAC strikes again!
I would like to test the PD pass-through more thoroughly, but as I don’t have a 100W PD to test it with I’ll have to leave that to someone else.
For travelling, I would prefer one of the long and thin hubs, but I knew what I was getting in to here, and I don’t expect to take it travelling much.
Overall, it is better than I expected, does everything I would like, but not as good as it could be.
This is a well made adapter with smart alloy body and a substantial cable leading to an equally well made USB-C plug.
This simple device allows me to change my iPad Pro into a desktop computer; HDMI video to my Dell monitor and a wireless mouse/keyboard dongle in the USB-3 socket gives me everything I need.
A big drawback with Apple products is the data connector is also the charging port – this restricts use-time to what is available from the battery. This adapter elegantly solves this problem by providing a USB-C charging port that is rated at a generous 100W PD.
I tested this out when the iPad was being used for processor-intensive tasks. The battery not only kept up with what I was doing, but rapidly increased the charge. This is an excellent feature that is not always available on similar adapters, even when they claim to have it!
Restricted to a single USB-A socket requires you to choose what is important and if a mouse/keyboard is not needed the fast 10Gbps is compatible with external storage. I checked with a Sandisk Extreme Pro 64GB micro-SD card in a card reader and a 5.7GB HD video was transferred to the iPad in 2m 40s; and back to the card in 3m 45s.
Incidentally the card reader also had two USB-A ports allowing the Logitech desk-set dongle be reconnected.
These small adapters are lightweight and easy to carry with an iPad, laptop, or similar. I feel it will now be essential to always have it with me, especially when I want to back up photographs and videos to an external drive, or display them on a big screen.
This device is a versatile adapter for USC-C (small USB) to HDMI. The metal construction of the adapter feels of a good quality and during my testing did not overheat excessively like some adapters can. This adapter allowed me to quickly power a laptop using an alternative cable whilst at work and also display to a larger screen via HDMI. Very handy in a pinch and recommended for work or study when giving presentations.
Great little device but as with all product of this type they have one major issue.
Great device and does the job well and i mean really well, as the lead does not come out if you move the phone and thus break the image. Image broadcast from my Somy Xperia 1 IV is crystal clear.
Normally with my luck on these products I seem to always get them (tested on differing phones too) with a faulty USB C cable but so in this case-this box did its job well.
Only negative I can see and most hdmi boxes make the same mistake is that there is no right angled USB end, so if you are having an intense gaming session on your phone then you can quite possibly push the connection out via stray fingers
Pros
Does the job well
Sturdy
Constructed well
Cons
No right-angled connection for intense gaming sessions
As the headline says I bought this to try on my Steam Deck. I do have a dock but that is a bit hard to cart around and travel with so I thought I would try this as a smaller lightweight option.
The hub itself is is quite small and just right to fit in my Deck travel case, the dock would not fit. So now when going around a friends house or to take abroad I can just take this.
I am pleased to report as can be seen by the photos the HDMI out works perfectly and the bonus is the hub takes a USB C input so you can connect your charger or power bank to it and it will charge the deck as you are playing. It’s quite hard to see in the photo but the Deck is charging. I can also confirm that it recognises a flash disk when inserted in the hub so you can transfer files across in desktop mode. The hub itself does get slightly warm with all this going on, but that is to be expected.
Overall very pleased with it and thought I would post the review to make people aware it will work with the Steam Deck even though they do not mention that.
With laptop manufacturers gradually cutting the number of ports on their machines, this tiny gadget could well be the solution you need.
It’s a very simple adapter, with a captive USB-C cable at one end and a USB-C, HDMI and USB 3.1 at the other. It provides USB-C PD power delivery up to 100 watts, HDMI output (up to 4K at 60hz – whereas many other similar devices only go to 4K at 30Hz) and a single, fast USB 3.1 socket for external drives.
The unit is really well made – I could detect no creaking or flexing. It stays quite cool in use, the ports are all accurately cut and form strong connections.
Added bonuses are Thunderbolt 3 compatibility and HDR over HDMI (only at 4K/30Hz).
Very pleased with this. It does exactly what I need at a very fair price.
Highly recommended.
I got this to replace an adaptor that had a dodgy HDMI port, was happy to see this one connected to my ultrawide monitor at it’s maximum possible resolution. Other ports work without issue too.
This is a very light, compact hub which will easily tuck away in a travel bag or your pocket. Standalone, or taking power from your phone, it seems to use 5 or 6 watts, which is entirely acceptable. My phone immediately recognised the device and swapped files via the USB 3.0 socket flawlessly. HDMI was similarly fine. The only minor downside I can see to this otherwise perfect device is that a really fat memory card holder such as the one I use will obscure the HDMI socket. Not an issue to me, but be aware.
