its bright is an understatement, this lights up a vast amount of area when used. Walking up a mountain at night it was able to help us determine a good path to walk.
I do horses in the dark, so I have had several of these kind of head lights. This one is by far the best: lightweight, bright, loads of modes- but most importantly the memory mode and it tells you the remaining battery percentage. Really happy with this.
i bought this to walk my two small lady dogs and i got to say the brightness is great i can about 100 yards in front of me .
plus i also got a red light on the back to so cars etc can see in front and back.
the weight off the head straps and good and not heavy.

I got this for my son so that he could see the path that leads from our house to the bus stop. There is a 10 metre stretch of path that is really dark, especially in the winter and this head torch lights it up a treat when he comes off the bus after his warhammer workshop in york

At times it seems to not be as powerful as at other times and it does not have anything to do with the % in the battery.
