Wireless Gaming Headset, Gaming Headphones Bluetooth 5.2
Wireless Gaming Headset, Gaming Headphones Bluetooth 5.2 with Noise-canceling Microphone for PC/PS5/PS4/Switch, 2.4GHz Wireless Headset with 3D Surround Sound, RGB Light, 3.5mm Wired for Xbox Series
First off, this headset freaking rocks. It’s loud, its comfortable, it’s cute, the lights work perfectly, the distance I feel is almost shorted in the description because I’ve never had any issues hearing a device I’ve connected too being super far away. The battery life is awesome as I’m a new wireless user and have definitely left it on overnight on accident and it was still alive in the morning after 7-8 hours. I def see this lasting me a super long time, and if not I have no qualms buying the same replacement because the price is great. No, there’s no noise canceling feature but I have kids so for me that’s a plus. Quiet kids=dangerous.
Now for the issue-and it’s me. I’m the problem. I got this headset and had no problem connecting it to my PC with the USB dongle. Then I upgraded to a gaming laptop and thought “hell yea my Bluetooth headset will connect that way now!”. Nope. If you read the item notes it clearly says it connects via Bluetooth to ps4, ps5, iPad, tablet, and phone. Not to a laptop. So I spent a good 2 hours trying to find out why it wouldn’t connect, updating and installing new audio drivers and troubleshooting and the whole lot before coming back here to read if any other people had the same issue or if I had a different Bluetooth version. Lo and behold-it was right there in my face. So I just pulled my usb dongle back out and plugged it in and poof-perfect connection.
Just make sure you buy this for the right purposes and get your connections correct 🙂
I’ll start by saying I got this on an Amazon deal for $35, so definitely worth it for the money. The construction is solid, doesn’t feel cheap or like flimsy plastic. I really like the matte plastic of the ear cups, and they fit my head really well.
The first pair I received actually had a small buzzing noise in the left ear cup that was only detectable when there was no audio playing. I tried to ignore it, but within 24 hours it became unbearable. Requested a replacement and within 24 hours I had a new pair with no issues. So there may be a slight quality control issue to be wary of, but you can get a quick replacement that should be up to snuff.
One minor drawback that annoys me and may bug others as well: when you toggle the mute button on or off, there is a vocal announcement through the headphones, “Mute on/Mute off”, that interrupts whatever you’re listening to for a couple seconds. Can be quite irritating if you’re using this for conference calls, so beware. Otherwise, great looking and feeling headset that’s worth a try!
I’m quite and audiophile and went through several headphones, including the 100 Logitech G353. The sound quality on these headphones is outstanding for the price. The sound seal is secure without much noise leakage. Microphone quality is very clear aswell. Battery outstanding. For this price the product is an all round steal.
I’ve been looking for a wireless headset for a long time since my old Corsair set hasn’t been able to hold a charge for longer than a few minutes. I searched Amazon for a good pair that could be used on PC and consoles and stumbled on the Gvyugke Captain 500 headset and have walked away thoroughly impressed. It has premium features from headsets that are 3 to 4 times the price.
Some of the Pros:
– Powerful Sound w/ Deep Bass: I’ll just say that I had to turn down my volume a lot on PC because this headset can get loud with solid rumbling bass. Sounded really good when playing Starfield and Remnant 2.
– Really Comfortable: The earcups are a soft leatherette material that didn’t get too hot (at least for me) and the headset wasn’t too tight on my head. It has a good seal to block out ambient noise (I couldn’t hear the loud fans on my tower when playing). Also, they are super lightweight and didn’t put much pressure on the top of my head.
– Cool Looking Design: The design of the headset reminded me of some fancier Razer styled ones, but they are really functional too, since they fold up for easy storage. Also, the LED lights are pretty rad looking, but not too bright and distracting. Also, you can easily turn them off with the G button on the left earcup (helps save battery).
– Other Nice Features: Battery seems to last pretty long and it charges up pretty fast. Controls are easy to access without fumbling around. Has wireless usb, Bluetooth, and audio cable which covers all my gaming needs.
Minor Cons(?):
– Microphone seems pretty standard, but it is easily removable which is great.
– White color could be prone to showing dirt over time, so far mine haven’t
Overall, I’m really happy and impressed with this headset so far. Great features, sound, and value.
Unpacked from box, plugged in to charge for a few hours then plugged blu tooth usb in switched headphones on and connected instantly.
Havent worn them for any real length of time yet gaming/movies but they are comfortable, I would say they are quite big so I imagine if you had a really small head like a young kid they might be too big, but otherwise no issues so far and will be testing the length of charge at the wknd while online gaming. Also havent used the mic yet but I like the fact it can be removed as a fixed one when not using can be irritating.
Overal 10/10
Unfortunately I bought these they worked for like 5 minutes then died. The microphone did not work at all but the headset was good. It seem to me like its a driver issue when it comes to bluetooth which what i needed it for i did not want to use the usb. I even went as far as wiping my entire laptop and installing windows 10 from windows 11 and it worked on 10 but still no mic. I ensured the mic was plugged in correctly and the mic button was blue. No dice. I would have loved a replacement headset but amazon stated they had no more in stock so they refunded. Id be willing to change my review if the company hits me up with a replacement that works.
Update 9/6/2023
The headset was replaced by customer service after reading about the product. The headset was tested today and i can say that the battery life on this is great. At 80% charged i left it on for over 6hrs while playing youtube video and it still at 60%. The sound for my ears is crisp and clear. The only issue i have is the microphone. The microphone goes plugged in one way but its hardly gets picked up by my computer. i literally have to push it in for it to be picked up. I will buy a microphone to make it work right. Other then that if you get it fully working headset mic it will be an excellent headset.
