It was well packaged, and not too heavy. It comes with a poker, a rain cover, a lid, log grate and heat resistant mat for underneath on surfaces where marking is a concern.
Lighting was very easy, with a bit of cardboard and a couple of fire lighters and after around ten minutes it reached temperature and at this point the smoke reduced to almost nothing at all.
The cutouts at the bottom appear to help massively with airflow, and every time the wind blows slightly the coals at rhe lowest part of the fire glow nicely. The height is perfect for me when sitting on my garden chairs for both heat output and being able to actually see and enjoy the fire.
I’ve seen in other reviews that the heat out to the sides on the Solo Stove models isn’t very good, but this one doesn’t have the same issues. The whole body gets hot, and I actually had to move my chair away from the fire due to it being far too hot.
Craftsmanship looks good at first glance, with no obvious issues with manufacturing but time will tell.
Overall, it’s awesome. I wish that I’d bought one sooner and it’ll be getting a lot of use over the winter.
This is my second time buying this exact same fire pit, my first one accidentally got binned whilst doing a garden clearance, it’s sturdy when built which is very easy too so aswell, and it’s not too big and bulky! does exactly what it’s supposed too! Highly recommended
Gr8 fire pit used to put a Swiss candle in it worked well hand that it doubles up as a BBQ . Nice and easy to fold up and place in its storage bag and hang in shed very convenie
I bought this to get rid of cuttings of ivy and old fence. It’s large enough to burn chunks of 60cm of wood, even if the “bowl” isn’t very deep. It’s quite stable, although the bowl isn’t attached to the legs.
Also, it seems to be prone to corrosion.
Wife wanted a fire pit. This was cheap but during covid they were all selling so quick. This one is sturdy and easy to put together and when ready it’s very strong. We use it as fire pit and bbq. Didn’t come with covers or grills which I was aware of but wonderful unit.
A good, solid piece of kit that fulfils the brief and makes me look like I’ve got a big car and even bigger sense of self.
Love the depth which can take 3-4 logs … cooked my first meal; a paella to perfection
Nothing negative to add!
Nice sturdy bbq firepit come with a convenient carry bag only downside it is quite low to the ground so would definitely advise purchasing a fire mat to go underneath it. On first use it Burnt the grass under it so I purchased a fire mat and no problem from then on. Good build with easy folding legs underneath not to bad to clean only time will tell on durability but seem ok
