Great alternative if you don’t want to pay the price for the Apple one.
It charges my 13 Pro Max to full and still has some juice left. Sticks on to the MagSafe pretty well, you’ll find that it won’t fall off easily.
Very small, portable, great for travel.
Best PRO about this is that it allows passthrough charging, so you can stick you phone on it and charge the power bank at the same time. You can also use a cable to charge other things if you need to.
Overall, it does the job it’s intended for. This power bank offers convenience and reliability when it comes to keeping my devices charged on the go.
One of the standout features of this power bank is its magnetic design, which allows for easy attachment to compatible devices. This feature proved to be quite useful, as it ensured a secure connection between the power bank and my phone, preventing any accidental disconnections while charging.
In terms of charging performance, the Anker Power Bank provides sufficient power to charge my phone fully. It efficiently replenishes the battery, ensuring that I have a reliable power source when needed. The compact size and lightweight design make it convenient to carry around, making it ideal for travel or everyday use.
However, one aspect that falls short is the capacity of the power bank. While it does a decent job of fully charging my phone once, its capacity limits it to just a single charge. This means that if I need to charge my phone multiple times throughout the day, I would require access to an additional power source or need to recharge the power bank itself.
Considering this limitation, I would rate the Anker Power Bank, 521 Magnetic Portable Charger, four out of five stars. It performs its primary function of charging devices reliably and offers the added benefit of a magnetic attachment for convenience. However, the limited capacity prevents it from providing extended power for multiple charges, which can be a drawback for heavy users or those with high power consumption needs.
In conclusion, the Anker Power Bank, 521 Magnetic Portable Charger, is a convenient and efficient solution for on-the-go charging. While it may fall short in terms of capacity for multiple charges, its reliability and magnetic attachment feature make it a handy accessory for individuals seeking a portable power source.
I’ve only had the charger a day and I am currently charging my phone with it for the 1st time. I started with my phones battery at 19% and after quite a while it has only gone up to 55% and the charger has gone down to below 50%. Granted I have a 12 Pro Max which has a larger battery to charge but I would’ve expected it to charge my phone a lot quicker than it is at the moment and I have tried to not use my phone much during the charge. Still it is much better than having a dead phone while away from a socket.
I used this on 2x 14hour flights recently.
Pros:
* The magnet is very secure.
* It’s easy to operate.
Cons:
* the battery capacity isn’t great. Considering the technology available these days to store power.
* It’s by no means ‘light’.
*it’s slow to charge
* I was sent a faulty one sent to me initially that only charged up halfway. This was replaced but still – not great.
In summary – if you have a phone compatible with this charger – The convenience is nice. Not having to use any cables, however it won’t be very reliable on trips where you can’t charge your phone in a wall socket for longer periods.
If you get it for a good price, it’s probably worth having to hand.
This device is an excellent product and don’t leave the house without it. Like most people who keep up to date with technology, everything in my house is USB-C. At this point, my living room has 3 x 2m USB-C cables from different corners, and with this, I can attach to my iPhone and charge my phone via USB-C, and if I need to move around, leave the room, use the toilet etc, I just unplug the cable and my phone continues charging.
The only downside I have found is the charging speed is quite slow, and also the device (and the phone) ends up getting quite warm during use. obviously it will be warm if it is plugged in and charging. But when I have the phone charging in my pocket when I am out, it feels like I have a pocket heater, not an iPhone with a wireless battery pack.
The only way I would improve this, is to add some sort of way of turning this into a stand. I have a soft wallet for propping my phone up, but I cannot prop my phone up while it is charging. This would be a good addition for the next variatio
