I got to now do it all over again with my newborn, but now with this plush!
An excellent stick
My son loves this toy and it attracts attention wherever we go – everyone seems to love stickman! The only problem is that the stuffing looks like it will burst any second at the seam on its back which looks a bit loose. We just check it daily and after 3 months it is still OK.
My great niece is completely obsessed with sticks and insists on making my sister take her out for walks to find them. She’s going to love this funny stick ma
Bought this for my nephew, who absolutely loves it, stick man is a loved book and little film in our family, and this plushy is just amazing. Fab little toy!
My children love anything Julia Donaldson so I had to buy this toy to add to our collection. This Stickman is made out of quite thick, stiff material so it’s not like a soft cuddly toy but a realistic version of what you see on tv. Really lovely detail lovely expression and perfect to add to your playroom. My children presently enjoy throwing stick man around like a boomerang as depicted in the book and we take it in turns to use the stick as described in the book – a mast for a flag, a stick for a nest, a log for the fire etc. Great for imagination.
Stickman is so popular now with his own tv show….was tempted to create our own toy , yes, using twigs, but then thought he probably goes to bed when the book is read at storytime. Real twigs would be a nightmare. Gave in and bought the toy. Glad I did …instant recognition and success!
Having bought the book and watched the film, the next logical step was to put Stick Man under the Christmas tree for my 20 month old daughter. She could not believe it was him when she opened the wrapping paper. He does not get as much attention as her other favourite soft toys, but we do play a game of “Where is Stick Man” and she has to find him. One of her first words will undoubtedly be Stick Man. No issues with wear and tear yet that other reviewers have mentioned.
This is a great toy for Stick Man fans. My 2 year old granddaughter takes it to be with her.
We’ve only had it a couple of weeks, but it looks sturdy and hopefully will live up to much cuddling.
I was little weary purchasing this as some of the reviews were not favourable but it reduced heavily in price so I took the risk.
Very glad that I did it is lovely a really good size for being held and played with and we have no visible issues with the stitching so far. It is a gift though and as of yet has not been played with.
I’m so glad I did. After getting him he spent the first day or two taking him everywhere and cuddling him. He’s had him a few weeks now and he still gets lots of play. Stick Man is one of his favourite toys and he gets excited to watch or read Stick Man with the character toy.
He’s been pretty durable. My son is quite rough and tumble but Stick Man has survived being stuffed down the back of the radiator and dragged around the house. Worth every penny.
We purchased the Stick Man book from the Julia Donaldson range a couple of years ago and my four year old has never tired of this story, even though we have read it time and time again. The story is about the Stick Man, who goes for a jog and along the way gets used for many purposes (much to his dismay!) that take him further and further from his home, until he fears that he might never get back to his family again. The book has a Christmas twist, but we read this all through the year and it doesn’t really make it seasonal. After becoming a firm favourite of my little girls, when she saw the stick man toy she wanted it. It is a really high quality toy, a good size and it feels really well made and the material feels thick and good quality. A must for any stick man fan!
