I did find it took (me) a bit of time to get used to controlling the orb but it is great fun and very entertaining. A full charge, lasting around 10 minutes, is long enough to allow several people to have a decent time playing with the orb.
I really like this toy and recommend with the proviso that you do a bit of research to get the best value for money.
It comes in a nice colourful box, making it very much giftable. You get a Micro USB charging cable and an instruction leaflet inside the box.
The material seems durable, and the honeycomb pattern adds durability and protects the propeller and chip inside. If the ball touches the furniture, it stops automatically and doesn’t damage anything; however, it might get a break if you throw it like a ball.
My nine 11-year-olds enjoy playing with this ball; I enjoy playing with them, too. It’s tricky to get this flying for me; however, my kids quickly picked up the technique.
If you have a thicker finger, turning the button ON/OFF might be difficult as it is inside the frame. You may need to use a long nail, pen, or toothpick. However, this should be fine for children with smaller fingers.
The lights look lovely at night, and charging lasts very long; that’s the essential factor.
Overall, this is a good quality toy ball; kids will enjoy playing with it; it keeps my kids entertained for a long time; it is suitable for catching practice and an excellent alternative to keep them away from the screen.
