My man is a huge fan of Ryan Reynolds so I had to get him this gin for Christmas. He kindly shared some with me, too and it’s lovely! Very smooth and goes down nicely. Lovely tase for a gin that’s not my usual “fruity” flavours. Definitely recommended
I read previous reviews but on tasting the gin I was very pleasantly surprised on how good it was. However I did purchase it on prime day but it is still very good didn’t know it was a celeb gin.
After watching the ads on the web, I thought I’d try it. The last time I tried gin was 30 odd years ago, and I hated it then. That said, this time was a completely different story. Pretty sure if the G&T I tried all those years ago tasted anything like this I wouldn’t have waited another 30 years to try one. Now experimenting with different mixers, and have to say the only thing we need now is the ‘homeschool edition’! Instead, I just had to make do with a subscription instead.
Such a great gin. Smooth and delicately spiced but not overpowering. Very pleasant and easy to drink. I could actually drink this neat.
If you like a dry gin with a hint of spice then this may be for you. It’s one of my favourites along with No. 3 London Dry.
Buy this while it’s on offer. 21 is a steal.
This stuff has mixed reviews it has to be said, so I waited for a really good deal before giving it a go. Now I’ve finished a bottle, I’ve got to say I love it. Yes, it’s a dry gin, and there are plenty to choose from right through the price spectrum. For me, this had a fresh and unique taste that definitely makes it a stand out. As if Ryan Reynolds hadn’t made enough money, he only had to go and get his own gin company too. I’ll be buying again for sure, but I’m too tight to buy it until it’s a ‘deal of the day’ again.
Have wanted to try this Gin for a while now. At first it was from a novelty point of view, being a Ryan Reynolds fan! Got my hands on a bottle and tried it both neat (no ice) and with a Fevertree mixer and both methods proved very entertaining. I am not gin expert and can never taste this and that which is always raved about in any tasting notes, all I can tell you is that I found it to be a darn good Gin a cut above all pouring brands I’ve tasted and can hold its own against some of the more expensive artisan brands. Would buy it again for a treat.
I’ve tried this gin and it is OK but prefer other brands. If buying from this listing, be aware that it is sold directly from Amazon for around 28 pound so check the seller first. This listing shows it for sale at just over 38 pounds which is very expensive.
First off, the bottle is very cool, like a war time water canteen. Taste test without tonic was good. Like a London dry gin but with more citrus and sweetness. Not unlike the Roku gin. With tonic (fever tree Mediterranean) it works very well. Lots of clean flavour and freshness. Slight peppery finish. The citrus flavour is more orange and lemon rather than the grapefruit flavour of other gins. If you like Roku, Portabello London or even Tanqueray, you would likely like this. I only scored it 4 out of 5 stars because there’s a couple of gins that just surpass this one. But not by loads.
Bought this Gin as was advertised by Ryan Reynolds.
It is a good Gin if you are going to make cocktails or just simple Gin & tonic. It tastes quite interesting in mixing with apple juice or tonic water. But unfortunately personally for me it didn’t go very well to drink just as a shots.
Also, could not give it five stars as it doesn’t come in any box to give as a present.
I am not a gin aficionado, so, take this review with a pinch of salt. However, I do like gin with tonic water, and wedge of lime. I made a G&T (with a wedge of lime) with this gin and it was very nice. I usually buy Lidl or supermarket own-brand gins and this definitely tasted nicer and felt nicer in the mouth. I would buy this again and I recommend it. The bottle was nice too, so an eye-pleasing gift, if nothing else. Plus, I think Hugh Jackman is a great actor.
There are many celebrity endorsed products, but this part owned by Ryan Reynolds, is a top quality craft gin. Bottle design is excellent in line with the aviation theme. To taste it does have a floral note, with violet and lavender, a touch of cardamom too.
Works very well with a floral tonic, such as fever tree med tonic and a slice of grapefruit.
If you can get for under 30 then its a bargain.
Once of my favourites.
This is one of my top 3 gins (from the ones I’ve tried).
Ryan Reynolds made a good choice investing in them.
A bit spicy and a bit pricey, but I guess quality over quantity. Definitely not your ornery batch gin.
It had bold flavors and nice aftertaste. Good looking bottle too.
Whenever I drink it, I toast in my dad’s memory. Last G&T we had together but also because he was a pilot.
Worth a buy if only to try it out. If you find it on offer then stock up!
My boyfriend is both a big Ryan Reynolds and gin tan, so this seemed like a great gift.
I was disappointed in how cheap the bottle looked? The label was squint and looked badly made. I thought I had maybe been given a fake. However, his friend also bought him the gin, and the labelling was the same.
Boyfriend loves the taste of the gin though, so I suppose that’s what counts. Although it could be he never wants to speak ill of Mr Reynolds…
After hearing about this and learning that it was American gin- I am only used to English gin- I was very interested to see the difference and bought it as a gift to myself. I will say that the taste is smooth and it has a nice flavor to it. I will also say that it is a fantastic gin for people that are new to gin. It doesn’t have the classic juniper flavor to it and it is quite light in flavor. For people that say they don’t like gin because it “tastes like trees”, this is a gin they would love. Saying that I do enjoy it and I am in love with the bottle itself! A very good gin to try.
This is the smoothest gin I have ever drunk. This is the bees knees. It is so mellow that when I had it over rocks on its own you could not taste the typical bitterness of the gin at all. Don’t get me wrong it still packs a punch. Add tonic and u have a silent killer in the glass. It’s just sitting there like a German u boat waiting to torpedo your skull as soon as you get up from the table. And to the middle and eastern European customers: remember that time when you could get spiritus(96% alcohol) and diluted with water 50/50 to get 60% vodka??? This stuff will throw you on your grandma’s carpet faster than you can say “Moth&” while falling of your chair. Long story short, if you never had gin, start with this one, you bored with your gin, pick this one. Why? No one paid me to write this and I’m a whiskey guy.
Now I can’t speak for the flavour because it’s a gift, but it looks fantastic. I had this in my wish list for a while so I could order it as a gift for my Dad, and I’m so glad it did. I have no doubts about the authenticity, it just looks impeccable.
It was delivered in a box labelled as fragile, and on the inside it was carefully wrapped in bubble wrap. Now I do think there was a slight leak, but there was no damage done and there was no noticeable difference in volume inside the bottle, so it was no worry. I just put some tape around the lid to keep it secure until Christmas and done.
This is definitely the perfect gift for the gin lover in your life (bonus points if they’re a Ryan Reynolds fan too).
I usually buy London gin or something like beefeater. Not budget but not premium. Regular supermarket brands. This is definitely in the premium bracket at 3x the cost of the regular brands and to be fair it tastes a lot nicer. The tastes of the gin come out and a good quality tonic helps too. The whole thing is set off by a beautiful bottle too with an art-deco feel. Very nice. Is it worth 3x the cost – probably not quite, but its defiantly worth trying over your usual brand
