This backpack mount to the base of the holster by turning it 90 degrees clockwise or counterclockwise to attach easily & securely to your backpack strap and provides for a quick release.
I bought this because my backpack doesn’t have any accessible loops or attachment points on the shoulder straps. The velcro band fits snugly and the plastic holder seems solid enough to withstand some wear and tear. Time will tell.
Update: I used this for a four-day mountain trek recently and had no problems. The Mini came on/off easily and the holder stayed put on my strap for the entire trip. Very happy.
