It is very easy to use and is lovely on the cold days to keep feet warm. Having cold feet is not nice and it’s so good to be able to find something that can keep them warm and comfortable.
My husband has very poor circulation which means his hands and feet are always cold. This has been a real issue when we sit down in the evening to watch TV. I bought this for him as a Christmas present and it works really well. He says it’s the best present ever!
For people working at home this footwarmer is a godsend in repelling the cold winter days. As soon as the chill sets in, just switch it on and banish those winter blues. It’s easy to operate and warms quickly.
I use the product to warm my feet along with a hot water bottle instead of putting on the heat for the entire house. Great product to save money, overall.
My use:
I get freezing cold feet (especially toes) both at home and at work. I’ve previously tried heated socks but these have been uncomfortable – too tight and you can feel the wires and battery packs, let-alone the fact that mine were faulty and the socks often cost more than these alternatives (approx 50-80). Also slippers just don’t cut it, especially this time of year (November 2023).
Price:
38 not on offer seemed quite expensive and I’d be surprised if certain German supermarkets don’t come up with a cheaper version priced for 20-30, however I have other Beurer products like their heat pads which I rate. That said, I couldn’t beat the price delivered elsewhere online.
Comfort:
The material is padded (less than 1cm) but looks like good quality – the same material as the heated pads they use and you can feel the heat on the outside but not the heat is never hot enough to burn yourself like you might with a hot water bottle.
It has a thinnish sheeps wool lining which does provide some comfort and warmth. You can feel the seam in the fleecy lining in the middle (between your feet) but it’s not so apparent that it’s uncomfortable. The lining is separate so the top can overhang the top of the boot and move about slightly. This is obviously so that the lining can be washed to keep the item clean (inside).
I often raise my feet off the cold floor in a recliner chair and also have a blanket over the top of me. This helps as if the rest of your body is warm then it’s easier to keep warm, however having the boot on the floor lets you feel the heat more.
*Because of this I think it would help to have a more padded bottom so you don’t feel the floor as easily. Maybe give it a rubber bottom and add some padding between this and the material to avoid shielding the foot from heat.
Heat:
Other have complained that they feel no heat – I would send back possibly as it might be faulty as I have found this to be great.
Yes level 3 is the best, but my feet get so warm in this that I have to turn it down at times (not burning hot, just overly warm).
It heats up very quickly and seems to come from all directions (mainly the bottom and the top) which is especially good for warming your toes.
Size:
Roomy enough for even the biggest feet (unless you’re over size 11 I would guess).
I’m a male size 9 and have no problems. I can slide my feet side to side and forwards and backwards with at least 1″ in every direction which will help warm them further with the fleecy lining. There is enough room above my foot because of the boot-like design. Whilst it helps if I raise my toe area inside the boot to get the most from the heat, I think if it were a tighter fit it would be uncomfortable for people with bigger feet etc.
Lead:
Length is easily long enough for me with a plug near the side of my recliner chair. The leads comes from the centre of the back of the boot so can run either side. Unlike the beurer pads this is wired directly and cannot be unplugged, other than from the socket itself.
47cm to the controller and over 1m to the plug.
Controller:
This is the same as beurer’s other products, robust, easy to use, lights up the number in use. Turns off after a length of time and you just switch to 0 and back up to 3 or whatever number and it starts heating again.
Overall:
Although there are some cheaper brands out there which may do a similar job, I would recommend this product and I still trust beurer more. If these drop in price I’ll get another for my mum.
If you find this review helpful then please *like*.
I bought this for my mom. She loves it and it does the job for her. She suffers with bad circulation in her legs which makes her feet always cold. It’s very comfortable too.
My husband bought me this because I have raynauds and my feet are always so cold that they make everything around them cold so now I can warm my feet up before we go to bed and I try to warm them up on him. We are both very happy now I have warm feet but it was funny to make him shreik when I put my cold feet against him!
Disappointed it sent in its own box with a sticker on it, not even in a bag, it was a Christmas gift for someone in same house , hard to hide and box but rough for gifting.
The item itself is good
Although my Summerhouse/Office is heated, my fundamental error in not insulating the base when it was built means the cold comes up through the floor. This foot-warmer deals with that perfectly with three settings that take the edge off on a relatively mild Winters day, warm the feet on a frosty day and keep the toes toasty on a bitterly cold morning. I try not to to use the third setting unless I really have to with an eye on electricity consumption but it’s good to have the option on those really cold days when I’m working. Highly recommended, although, this is my first Winter with it so I can’t speak for longevity. That said, for the price, i’d replace it with the same in a heartbeat.
Does what it says but could be warmer at top setting. Also, not sure why it switches off after a set time as electric blankets don’t… It does the job – have had for several weeks so let’s see how it goes when colde
Do not expect instant or intense heat. It warms up more than enough if you give it a little time. I find 10-15 minutes switched on before it gets up to a decent temperature. Then it is more than adequate heat. Therefore good for extended use throughout the day or evening. Albeit that it goes into auto pause every 90 minutes to avoid that you walk off and leave it switched on…. Also, I found the removable, washable sock and bit of a faf. Hence I have done away with it when I am wearing socks. I use it only if I am sockless
I have got a heated Matt, heated blanket and this foot warmer in my garden office. I only use the foot warmer alongside the main heater now, with the heated blanket on my knees but no power. Whilst the main electric heater is good, heat doesn’t always reach under the desk and my feet and ankles were cold but this works perfectly. It’s cooler than you think it should be but works because you use it all day- I have it on a timer plug to warm up before I need it. My only other comment is the woolly liner comes out regularly and could do with Velcro or other way of keeping it in place
I bought this for my Mum, for her birthday, as she had started working from home and it is normally very cold in the early mornings. My Mum loves it and uses it on a daily basis. The foot warmer keeps her feet nice and warm at 3 different temperatures.
1) Barely warms up.
2) Medium warmth, but just perfect if you’re quite cold.
3) Very warm and after around 15 minutes your feet become extremely warm and cost!
Overall this product is 100% worth it. If I had to give any criticism I’d say the foot warmer is a bit flimsy and not very sturdy towards the top, so there is room for improvement!
Despite what other reviews have said, this does reach a good temperature and warms my feet nicely. The warmth builds over time, gradually. With my fibromyalgia I get a lot of pain in my feet and ankles and this helps tremendously with that.
Is easy to store and quick to set up. The cable is a decent length and I can use it both sitting or laying down.
My only complaint is that I can’t see a way to secure the lining so the top keeps folding down inside. I may stitch a little velcro or hook and eye just to hold it in place. But that is my only complaint.
Overall, a very useful and comforting thing to have.
