Wanted these for garage storage, ordered 2 lots. After a little convo with the seller and our immediate neighbours, we found that a family that live on the same road, (can’t say they’re our neighbours – they’re 18 houses away) have adopted them and installed them at the side of their house.
Despite showing them my order and asking them to show theirs I gave in, they clearly need them more than me.
Shelving units easy to put together, no hassle whatsoever.
Only let down is the shelves thickness. 4mm mdf just bows and sags. Only reason they don’t collapse completely is the fact that there is a mid support beam.
Once consructed the storage units are stable and appear to take the quoted weight limits without any problem. The instructions for assembly are clear and easy to follow giving both written intructions and images and I was able to consruct two units in about an hour with the second unit being quicker and easier than the first attempt, but I would say that a rubber mallet is an essntial tool. When constructing the second and third units I found it easier to construct the top and bottom halves separately and then fit them together rather than follow the instructions exactly, but this was just personal choice.
During constuction the metal did appear to be a little thin, but once constructrd the units are stable and stong. Depending on where you locate these units and what you are storing on them you may find bolting them to a wall would be useful for added stability and peace of mind.
Overall the shelving units are ideal for domestic garage / shed storage purposes and appear to hold the quoted weights.
Nice big shelves that can be put up easily and quickly. If you follow the instructions you’ll need an assistant to assemble them but I found it easier to first build the lower half shelf by shelf and then complete the upper half after moving the bottom into place – that way I managed to put them together on my own.
