Bought the blue one back in 2019 and it’s a super thick pile blanket. This one, the red tartan, one isn’t as thick but still very warm albeit 10 cheaper than the rest. I really like it!
I bought three of these. Two wine (red) ones which was absolutely soft, thick and ever so warm.. both were gifts for family members who loved them so much that I decided to get a blue one. Mine arrived and it smelt so bad I ended up having to wash it God knows where it had been stored before it got shipped out to me. Once washed I’ve found it to be lovely and so very warm. And even great for an extra blanket on your bed it’s that big. I’m going to be really happy with it now it smells wonderful.
It really feels so soft and makes u so warmi love it except the color which was my fault for choosing ittoo bright for a wine, i was excepting it to be a dark or calm wine. However i turned it inside out and that feels better.
I was gifted one for Christmas, so cosy and warm. I love it so much that I bought the person one back – they also love it. Very good quality, soft and snuggly. You won’t be disappointed
Turned the heating down a few degrees and love cosying up on the sofa with this sleeves mean your arm stay toasty too. Even hubby loves his a true result.
Fur lining and soft velvety touch fabric on top, warmth felt as soon as you put it on, so cosy and comfortable. It’s like having a fur sleeping bag wrapped around you, fantastic value for money
I love this but could use a wash before you use it . I had on black trousers the first time I. Used it and they were covered in white fluff . So I washed and tumble dried removed all loose fluff perfect . A touch expensive but is double thickness and very warm .
It’s incredibly warm and cosy and great for just lying/sitting around in. Sleeves are a little too large in diameter towards the wrist for my liking but overall it does the job I bought it for.
Bought to keep an elderly person warm while they sit and read. Be careful with your choice of colour though. The wine I bought is very red and it does look like Santa is sitting there.
Bought this for my wife at Christmas and it has not left her since, it is very large and so very warm to wrap you up on a cold winter evening.
Definitely recommend.
There are a few reasons I haven’t rated this product 5 stars:
-There was no sign of the ‘storage bag’ that’s mentioned in the description, the blanket just arrived in a regular disposable plastic bag that had to be cut open to get into.
-I couldn’t find a care label anywhere on the blanket or in the packaging, but the description says: ‘hand wash only’, which removes a star for me as most blankets of this type are machine washable, and it’s such a large piece of fabric that hand washing it will be difficult.
-I would have preferred a blanket in this price bracket to have a foot pocket.
-The weave of the outer plush lies upwards towards your head, which means if you run your hands down the garment (as naturally happens at various points during use, for example reaching into the pocket), it has that funny against-the-grain feeling, instead of the lovely soft smooth gliding feeling when you run your hands the other way. That strikes me as unusual, like the garment was manufactured upside down by mistake. Just something to be aware of, as that can be an issue for people with sensory processing disorders.
However, overall I am satisfied with this blanket, and it will keep me warm through winter when my perma-hot husband doesn’t want the heating on!
I bought this for my mother to use as she particularly feels the cold and it’s ideal for her to slip on whilst sitting in her chair. I’m pleased with this; it’s fleecy which means that she’ll be even warmer and the length protects her legs and feet from draughts. Whilst some of the stitching was a bit uneven, the colour was bright and thankfully slightly less vivid than advertised!
