Great ice scraper to have in the car I have found, I have now removed all others that I had as I do much prefer this one to have.
The blade on it is a really hard tough rubber which I do much prefer over a plastic one as I have had plastic ones break and snap before. Up to now after using a few weeks it’s still perfect and hasn’t ripped at all.
The handle is soft and made of a nice foam which is much better for grip and it doesn’t slip out my hands while scraping the ice.
The small clip on the bottom makes for safe keeping as I have put some rope on it so I can hang it up in my van.
The teeth on the top of the scraper help when getting the frozen ice off and I do feel this is such a good feature to have on. Helps so much.
Overall just feels like such a solid scraper, does not feel like it will break easy and it will last a good amount of time. I would say a good few years.
The scraper has a comfy orange handle, which means it isn’t cold to handle and is nice in your hand. It is double sided to break up tough ice and snow with the hard black teeth.
The orange scraper bit is a flexible plastic and should be safe on the windscreen and probably the bodywork.
It is quite a large scraper so may not fit smaller glove compartments/door bins.
You get a gadget that looks great and quite often they are rubbish
Well this does exactly what it says the handle is longer so hands do not freeze and it just takes the ice off effortless I am so pleased and surprised well worth the money and I do mean this
Used this a couple of times over the past few days – the handle is solid and the ‘blade end’ works great. A nice, comfortable, unit that works perfectly well.
The item is easy to hold, good value for money and sturdy. The product design is great, the item was dispatched quickly and is ideal for use in the winter.
I needed a new ice scraper after my last one broke last winter and this one definitely feels like an upgrade with its superior high-strength plastic blade that is robust and firm, and resistant to low temperatures unlike my last one. This scraper removed ice and snow with one pass and now become my steadfast winter companion in the mornings. The ergonomic handle easily allows me to hold with or without gloves. The scrapers compact design allows me to fit perfectly in my door pocket, and the hanging hole allows me to easily hang in my shed during warmer months. Overall, this is a durable all-round ice scraper and perfect for those frosty mornings.
This is a very well made solid bit of kit, that looks as though it will last a very long time. At just over 4 the scrapper represents excellent value for money. It’s not huge but not small either with a good size handle to keep hands away from freezing ice and snow. Haven’t had a chance to use in probably yet, the weather is still mild, but feel sure this will be pressed into service at the first sign of frost on the windscreen. A word of caution the teeth are ferociously sharp and I’m sure would scratch glass, but in all fairness the company do point this out in the product description and it is pretty obvious!
A nice wide and again reassuringly solid silicon scrapper for removing ice and snow. A nice foam grip which will be welcomingly warm on a freezing morning. Pulling the foam grip back slightly you can see that the handle beneath is in fact made from aluminium making, hopefully, the construction very durable.
Where I think this will come in very useful is when I come to defrost the freezer. It feels sturdy enough and with a good reach to help dislodge the ice.
I ordered this in preparation for winter. On Amazon it looks good, when it arrived, I was delighted with its build quality. It feels extremely solid, and well designed, the handle is sponge coated and very comfortable and I suspect it will insulate my hand from the plastic getting cold. The scraper blade looks robust enough to remove the ice from the windscreen, but gentle enough not to damage the glass. On the rear it also has several claws to break up heavy ice surfaces.
In over 40 years of motoring this is definitely the best-looking ice/snow scraper I’ve had. At just over 4 it is a bargain.
Needed something safe to remove the ice that was forming in the chest freezer.
Normally you would empty out the freezer, switch it off and let it melt or use some defroster liquid specifically for this.
I did this before but only when the freezer was nearly empty but meant that the frozen food would be gradually defrosting.
This tool enabled me to quickly remove sections of the ice around the sides while my frozen food was out.
I spent probably 20 minutes scraping using the teeth side first to break the ice then the orange side to scrap and pick up the ice in one scoop.
The handle has a sponge effect coating and this makes it feel comfortable to hold.
I only did 20 mins as I was worried about the food defrosting. Will probably need another 20 minute session to remove the rest.
Very happy with this but also can be used on the car when the weather gets worse.
One last point is that the scraping blade is screwed on with three screws so perhaps could be replaced when worn out.
This is a bit of a no brainer purchase. For just under 5 you get a large sturdy ice and snow scraper for your car, van or indeed any type of windows. It is double sided with black plastic claws on one side that would help to break up stubborn ice. For example, when it has rained heavily and then frozen on the windscreen. One does need to take care when scraping. Windscreens can be easily damaged but if one sticks with the softer silicon blade, there should be no issues.
We have had cause to try it out and I can say it works beautifully. It also works quite well with internal condensation and cleaning the shower screen, for example. Ergo it potentially has lots of uses and all for that small sum.
Beware and check the size because it is a large item. Otherwise there is nothing to criticise here, so far. I like it. It fits in my car’s glove box and it works. What more do you need. If I lose it, gift it or break it I would be happy to buy another. By the way it does not seem to harden and become brittle in very cold conditions. This should help prolong its life.
This is a sturdy and solid ice-scraper and whilst I can’t test it currently, it is something that I think is well worth the price as it will allow you to keep your hands clear (due to the length of it) from getting the ice shavings all over during those freezing winter mornings, when you get that bitterly cold wind hitting you as you try to get ready for work.
Its well made, has a good heft to it so it doesn’t feel like its going to snap on the first use as other ones can (and for me, have done). All round very happy with this item and you will be too.
This scrapper is a good length for stretching across the windscreen and has a solid tapered edge as well as a serrated edge for breaking up stubborn ice. The sponge grip handle is a nice touch for cold or gloved hands to ensure a good grip.
