I was looking for a good headset on not a very high budget and came across these and wow they do not disappoint!
The sound quality is really great, you couldn’t get any better at this price point. The headset is very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, one of the most comfortable headsets I’ve ever had actually. The mic quality is perfect, audio is clear and doesn’t pick up any background noise which is perfect!
You can barely hear any background noise whilst wearing these including your own voice so you may find yourself talking louder than usual just because you can’t hear yourself very well.
Honestly for the price you will not find a better headset than this pair. I’d highly recommend these to anyone.
First off, thank you to the manufacture for these excellent headphones!
Pro: Microphone is excellent
Pro: Microphone is removeable! Yes, you can actually pull it out and just have headphones.
Pro: Microphone is flexible so you can move it however you want.
Pro: Adjustability for connection (usb, 3mm) is excellent.
Pro: Audio controls on headphones and not on the wire – is excellent
Pro: Wire from PC to headphones is removable! You can change to longer or shorter wire if you want!
Pro and best part: Padding is THICK, really thick! Very comfortable.
Had an expensive headset before this one and didn’t want to spend a lot of money to replace it. I must say for the price it performs better then I thought it would. Actually really sounds great and worked perfectly
I tested the microphone and speakers using teams with heavy background noise suppression set in the application so I can not give feedback on the headset built-in noise canceling abilities.
I am using it wired in a USB port and it works well. It was instantly recognized but is showing as the one I removed.
The mute button on the headset works and the audio is great. Speaker volume adjustment wheel works from no sound up to blasting.
The microphone volume has to be software controlled.
The headset stays lit while plugged-in even when not in active use.
The ear cuffs are comfortable and fit over my ears though the opening seems a little smaller than my last set.
I like the lighter weight and swivel ear pieces, as well.
Purchased for a friend of mine who is blind and mostly deaf. He said these are comfortable even over his hearing aid, and he set it up himself while I walked him through it over the phone. He said it was simple enough and he likes them a lot.
For the most part this is a great headset for the price. Only gripes is that the Mic seems to fall downwards a lot and it picks up breathing sounds a bit too much
The padding is very soft and comfortable. The sound is clear and the bass is good but the volume could be a bit louder. The cords seem sturdy. Great headset for the price.
I bought the black and red one ages ago and have loved it. I am really picky about the sound quality of my headphones as I am listening to something all day. I have 2-3 other expensive headphones I have used over the past 5 years or so for music, but I find myself actually using this instead of those. With one simple adjustment to sounds->equalization this baby can bit up all those great layers and small nuances that other headphones just miss or make muddy.
I’ve recommended this for at least 10 people and I just bought another pair recently because they have a green version!
Besides the sound, I really love that you can take the little mic off. If it ever messes up I can just replace that instead of the whole set.
The only issue I’ve had with these is that sometimes I will bump the usb connection with my shoulder and it will make a popping sound and take a few seconds to come back. This can freeze some games and discord. But, my solution was to wrap the cord around the ear cuff so its not as loose. The folks I have recommended it to haven’t had this problem. So maybe its just a too loose cable. I only use usb connection because my headphone jack on my computer was broken. So I don’t know if my particular unit would have the same issue with the headphone jack version.
This is not a deal breaker and I’ve bought another. I would continue to buy this if my current ones break.
So let me just go ahead, and state that setting this mic was very frustrating at least for me. The headset / mic came with everything, and i automatically assumed “oh yeah okay all these components go in no problem” So I plug everything in spent the next 30 min maybe an hour trying to figure out why the mic wasn’t being picked up – So I come home later frustrated knowing the mic probably isn’t going to work spend some MORE time looking for answers – watch a video and notice a guy is testing the mic with the same exact model EXCEPT he’s not using the USB whatsoever – I think to myself … “okay if his mic is working mine should as well” – I proceed to test it through discord WITHOUT the usb plugged in both the computer, and headset and the damn thing works – I think to myself – Well damn that only took me 2 hours, I probably won’t be using the USB surrond sound that came with it i am just glad it works – Sound is amazing other then that, but I bought this only for the mic.
One last thing to note is you might have to adjust your input, and output – and be sure you test this thoroughly { I recommend discord } I really hope this helps for anybody having difficulties – I was seriously ready to return this, and believe me I was disheartened about it too.
Well made with a sturdy cable and a comfortable feel. There is no high end on the sound from the speakers inside the headset. So its mostly midrange which is ok for gaming in general. but if you want comfort these are very good for the price.
When i put these on I was impressed. Low-budget headsets don’t usually serve this well. My other headset is a razer kraken which is a lot more pricey. But the audio quality was awesome, especially when i tested it with in game sounds in valorant. I played a spike rush and ended up crushing 15-2. I could hear the direction of sounds great and the footsteps cut through the other sounds in the game really nicely. I’m used to a headset in this price range being very busy in the sound department but this one was awesome. And the microphone i would compare exactly to my razer kraken headset, it had the same quality. My friend usually cannot afford a headset so I am going to recommend him this one because it would fit his budget so much better.
I recently bought these headphones for conference calls and for playing on Xbox.
Let’s start with calls. The headphones are hooked up to a HP Elitebook. I’ve tested them on Skype, Teams and Zoom and have had no issues hearing or being heard. There is no ANC on these headphones, but the cushions do a fairly good job on blocking out background noise. The mic boom is hardwired in and is adjustable. No issues with anyone hearing me or any background noise.
Sound Quality
Keep in mind the cost point of these headphones. For $35, they sound pretty similar to others in this price range.
If you are a bass fan, you might be disappointed. These headphones are definitely not bass heavy. The highs and mids are clear, but the low end is a little bit lacking. Depending on your music choices, you might not be satisfied with this. However, if you’re using this primarily for gaming, there’s a good compromise of vocal clarity with and sounds. I tested this out on Streets of Rage 4. The background music sounded clear, but I was hoping for a little more low end bass.
Concerning Xbox compatibility. As long as your controller has a 3.5mm Jack, these work fine. You don’t need the extra adapter as long as you have the Jack. However, these definitely sound better with the adapter as you can adjust the volume with the adapter. Which brings up the next point.
These headphones sound better with more power driving them. I have tested these on my laptop, connected to an xbox controller and connected to my receiver, and there is a definite difference when connected to the receiver. If you have the option of hooking them up to an external amplifier, you should definitely do so.
Comfort
The ear pads are soft and comfortable. I have had no issue wearing them for a few hours at a time. There is also an adjustable piece of cloth on the headband which is a nice touch.
Build Quality
Too early to tell on longevity, but the initial build quality is good. Majority of the headphone is plastic, but is made well and does not have a cheap feel. The metal bracket connecting the headband to the ear cups is a welcome addition, giving it a bit more strength and flexibility vs just plastic. The main cord is about 3ft long and has a thick braiding that leads to the 3.5mm and USB split. Those individual cords are also braided, but are thinner than the main cord. The mic boom is the standard rubber cord but offers a good feel and holds its shape for adjustments.
The carrying pouch is a nice touch and is of good quality . Obviously it’s not a hard case, but it will still offer some protection during storage.
Overall, I feel these are a good value and are worth a try.
I bought this gaming headset as part of a gift package for a nephew graduating high school. The design and finish are what attracted me first. I was surprised how good this headset is.
The packaging is typical of what you’d see from a gaming headset. The box design is like shouting gaming on all sides. Upon unboxing, I was surprised how great looking this headset is. It looks so nice and cool, that I would still buy this even if it was priced at $100. The build quality is solid. The metal frame is sturdy enough to survive some twisting. One thing that I noticed is how light this headset is compared to my other gaming headsets. Combine that with how soft the earcups are, and you can game for a whole day without discomfort from this headset. The braided cables are bulkier than other headsets, they look like shoestrings for military boots, which is a good thing as you know they won’t easily give in on accidental pulls. The USB is just for light control, only the aux connection works for mic and audio. For sound quality, I use Dolby Atmos in my Windows computer so my experience may differ from others. When Dolby Atmos is turned on, sound quality is awesome. I can hear directional sounds in a surround experience. This headset has an emphasized mids which is excellent for gaming as you can hear your teammates’ voice clearly when chatting. This headset is also great for watching movies because you can hear the dialogues clearly. For music, it is good enough to enjoy, but I prefer adjusting equalizers to get a little more bass.
Overall, this headset is a bargain for the price. Like I said, the coolness factor and build quality alone is enough to justify this on a $100 price tag. I got this for $40, which is a steal in my opinion. If you’re looking for a good quality headset for personal use or for gifting, look no further. Highly recommended.
The overall quality was pretty good. The audio system was more satisfying than what I have expected for the price. It is a good price if you are looking to buy more than couple of headphones at once. And the foam isnt really squishy like how I wanted but the comfort was good. And they give you a bag for your headphones.
