This high-end camera offers exceptional image quality and can be conveniently controlled via a smartphone application. While installation may pose some challenges for those without technical expertise, the camera’s advanced features and capabilities make it a worthwhile investment. For those seeking enhanced picture quality, this camera is an excellent choice.
I highly recommend this product and give it a rating of 8 out of 10.
I am pleased that the camera is functioning as advertised. The 3K picture quality is very good and I like that a microSD memory card (up to 128GB) can be installed in it so that I can record 24/7 video footage.
This is quite a complex camera, it has three cameras total which is great if you’re looking for a real widepanned CCTV camera.
Easy to install and put up and the app is good too.
You don’t need to pay for a subscription although there is an option.
The motion detection is lacking as it hasn’t been picking up everything I’ve noticed.
This is a mains security camera. Unlike some others which run wireless/solar, this does have to be hard wired. It’s a good quality unit and has dual floodlights which can be set to come on or are motion sensored. The lights are bright and light up well. The camera works well and can be set through a variety of positions. The video quality is good and it can zoom in easily. Easy to use, and can be used with an app, although there are no instructions for this. It does come with instructions for installation however, which are clear and easy to follow. It is a little expensive, but the features that come with it makes up for the higher price tag.
I ordered this for my back garden area, I wanted to be able to floodlight the area and record any movement. This camera does both, with excellent picture quality on both cameras. Easy to erect, it has two cameras both of which can be set differently – the brightness is adjustable and the positioning easy to sort to suit the function you need, including a zoom function. The camera has a range of functions and a very clear user manual is included. I prefer the manual to the app and honestly, I’m still working out the varying functions but so far so great, I’m really impressed with it. I suspect I have more yet to lea
I’m so excited to get this high quality outdoor camera. The user manual in the box details the steps and how to connect and set it up, and is also available in multiple languages.
Firstly it doesn’t come with a cable or plug, so you need to buy them separately. It’s IP65 waterproof and can withstand harsh weather conditions. Compared with ordinary Wi-Fi connections, dual band Wi-Fi has faster speed and connection, and also provides eight times digital zoom, which means that photos can be enlarged to eight times the original size.
This camera also has a feature that I really like, which is its 360 degrees panoramic tracking and monitoring, perfectly solving the problem of blind spots, which is also the reason why I ordered it. In addition to the built in microphone and speakers, it also has clear images and excellent zoom function.
You can quickly view and remotely monitor and control the above from your phone or iPad by downloading an application. Even though it may seem a bit pricey, it’s a great investment that will pay you back well in the long run.
This device has two cameras onboard, a wide camera and a ‘standard’ one. An important thing to note though, is the wide angle lens is not used/usable if the camera is attached to an NVR. So if the intention is to use an NVR, this may not be the camera you need, the quality of the camera though is such that I would recommend looking at others from the same brand.
The camera comes with a good manual, and has a manual in the app too, which takes one through the physical installation. Given the number of non-existent manuals I see, I am really happy with the lengths that the company has gone to for helping with the installation. This simple thing which is often overlooked does give me confidence in the company.
I have not installed the camera in to its final position yet. However there are assistant tools like a hook to hold the camera in place whilst you attach the electrical wiring. There is even a way to power the camera using USB whilst you set it up and check it works, prior to connecting it to the mains.
When connected to the mains, the light has dual floodlights which can be set to turn on at dusk, or just with motion etc. There are different settings for the brightness, so in theory one could have them set to 10%, and then 100% when there is a human detected.
The camera can be set to patrol through several pre-set positions, or just to sit in one position and watch for movement or humans. Additional to the cameras there are two (passive) infrared motion detectors. The theory being that if motion is detected the camera can then turn its attention to it.
In the app, so long as you have not activated the NVR mode, you can view both cameras. It is possible to hear the sounds too. It is possible to manually pan and tilt the camera too. The app also notifies one of any alerts/detections that occur.
There is no need to purchase a homenase 3, or an external subscription. Mostly the system is usable (with NVR) in a passive mode without access to the internet.
This is a weighty camera that comes in a large box. Unlike most, this one is mains powered so will need wiring in, though this is a relatively straightforward job. I assume that this is because of the floodlights which require more wattage than can be provided by a USB power source. Installation is relatively easy if this is being used to replace an existing security light. Although yet to be finally installed in our house, it will replace the light over the garage door, not only providing replacement floodlighting, but also a permanent camera feed.
I tried getting this to be identified by my existing security apps but without success. I downloaded the Eufy app, it took two attempts to identify the camera but on the second it installed flawlessly.
The video quality is very good, from both cameras. The digital zoom loses resolution but to about half zoom is still of an acceptable quality. There is some lag on both video display and panning control of the camera but I think this is at an acceptable level and doesn’t hinder the use of the device. Audio was decent, both from the microphone and camera speaker, I do like that it has two way audio so you can communicate with a delivery person for example, when away from home. I’m also pleased to see that it supports both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz wifi, since our 2.4Ghz system picks up interference from our PV panels (which have adaptors connected) and intermittently drops out. Out 5Ghz wifi is, fortunately, rock solid.
There are some nice installation touches included, such as a hanging hook useful to hold the camera up whilst wiring in the three terminal plug, and a stick on stencil showing where to drill the holes for the camera mounting.
The included manual only covers installation and provides no app details, though this is fairly easy to get to grips with. No memory card is supplied, but the literature states that this will accept up to 128Gb. I have a spare 64Gb card that will be used once this is fully installed.
Though this is an expensive device at 220, it is a very capable camera/security light with lots of additional features (such as AI tracking and an audible alarm) in addition to those I’ve tested.
Security. I bought Floodlight Cam E 2K but only works on 2.4Gh so can’t pick up internet connection, spotted Floodlight Cam E340 which runs on 2.4 & 5Gh & it works, plus it’s Pan & tilt & other features, best one I’ve bought yet, many thanks eufy for all your help, marvellous
I’m comparing this camera to a full Hikvision system setup.
Good,
Out of the box the camera looks and feels very good quality with its due lens head.
Instruction booklet super easy and straight forward
Camera setup to the App very easy with step by step instructions
Fixing and placement very easy (just requires 240v)
Good clear images 3k which is about 4.1mp.
one lens is a wide field approx. 2.8mm the other is 6 to 12mm. (i could be wrong in size but very close)
Movement pickup is very good and the camera follows very well.
Good strong lights, can be used when movement detected, Dimmable via app.
App Features give you confidence that this is a well made and supported camera.
Bad,
128gb Max SD card? In todays tech world this should be at least 1tb.
Poor compression ratios at 3k recording with a 128gb card, maybe 3 days this could be double with newer ratio protocols.
It’s big out the box, Camera head is small but the body is big.
When mounting the camera you need to use a S hook which doesn’t work well (as it can slip).
If you want to increase recording time you need to purchase a base unit + HDD’s or monthly fee cloud service.
So All in All for an average house hold i would say its a good camera but not a great camera, the biggest issue to me is the on board storage. If you used H256 @ medium settings with a 15fps then a 512gb SD card should last about 30days I think this camera is using MPEG4 compression so a medium settings with a 15fps a 128gb SD card is about 2.5days. (again i could be wrong but not data is given on the box, in the app or online. Fix this then with out a doubt this is the camera to buy.
Eufy seems to be a name you can trust when it comes to security cameras so I was looking forward to receiving this camera.
It’s pretty big, and has two large floodlights on it, which obviously add to the weight.
This needs to be hard wired in, and the instructions don’t really explain this fantastically well so if you don’t know what you’re doing, get a professional in (Eufy do have decent video tutorials online) . It comes with no cabling or anything like that so again you’d need to have something to power it with already. It’s not easy to install and this may put some people off.
You can plug in via usb in the house in order to do the initial set up, which is handy as that set up can be a bit of a faff to be honest.
Connecting to home wifi, connecting to phone, it’s like 20 questions. Do you want to let it talk to phone, do you want to turn on notifications etc etc. Give yourself time to set it up and choose the right place you’re going to place it, as if you place it somewhere with poor wifi coverage I think it’ll be useless.
Video quality is pretty good, even the night vision is good and the tracking is spot on and quick.
Notifications come through fast and it appears to pick movement up immediately with the 360 camera probably helping that, it’ll snap to the subject. Audio quality is O.K., it seems similar to the likes of video doorbell audio, but it’s perfectly acceptable. You can set sirens off on it, which I’ve not had to take advantage of but to test I did and they work and are enough to put a would be burglar off I think, they’d draw attention.
It appears to be ok with various weather conditions and it doesn’t seem to affect detection speeds etc.
This is a great bit of kit, but you may need to spend more to get it installed due to the electrical wiring required.
Once you’ve got it set up, you’ll likely be impressed and may want to expand on the system.
I don’t have a Homebase so this is just based on it as a standalone camera.
It was extremely easy to setup and after connecting to the Internet, it will walk you through the steps to install. What I did find annoying is that you can’t fully test the camera through the USB port to make sure it is all working before hard wiring it in.
The quality of the camera is excellent and you can basically see everything in a small garden or driveway either in black and white or colour using the flood lights. The 2 cameras are very handy for capturing both distant and wide objects.
AI tracking I thought was better on this then some others. Generally it tracks well although does struggle slightly with fast moving objects. I really like the feature where the IR can detect movement even when the main camera isn’t looking in that direction which really enhances the monitoring capabilites.
This camera has a 180 degrees movement detection so it’s ideal to mount on a wall of the house. The camera can automatically rotate to where to movement is coming from (no dead angles) even if your camera is pointing the other way. It has great video quality and zoom capabilities.
The light is very good and very bright.
Good integration with the Homebase 3
Camera can record 24/7 if wanted
