My son bought this film and we all watched it.
I’ve played the game for a few minutes but the film is not dependant on knowledge of the game.
It has an emotionally character driven story.
We all enjoyed it.
Nice steelcase, a few extras on the making of the film.
I went to see this originally in the cinema and I personally enjoyed it, sure it isn’t a top tier film however it is still a great watch at least once and would recommend it still.
Like the banana splits movie you expect more but get less.
Had potential to be amazing.
It’s not too bad. I will watch it again. Generally films are better in a second watch.
Wasn’t much of a “horror” but these days very hard to scare or shock people.
I bought it, so now it’s side by side with willy’s wonderland which was worse in my opinion.
Like all films, you should draw your own conclusions as what one person thinks isn’t necessarily a reflection of what you’ll think ir the actual movie.
This is a must buy for a dvd collection. Good bonus features and good quality adaption of the theatrical release to dvd.
The movie + 3 “Making of” mini documentaries are included in this release.
In terms of critism, I would say that it would have been nice to throw in some deleted scenes and the menu itself was a bit basic but other than that good job.
I watched this film 3 times in the cinema. I was desperate for the DVD release I wanted to watch it with commentary which I don’t normally do but I wanted to hear about every detail of this movie. No commentary. I was really excited for deleted scenes as I know they cut stuff. No deleted scenes. I know with all the strikes there wasn’t likely to be loads of interviews but I wanted to see behind the scenes. There are 3 extras and the longest is about 6 minutes. If I’d have known how lackluster the extra would be I would have bought it months ago on amazon video. Very disappointed.
I like cause it looked like the game man is security guy who sits in the room monitoring the tvs however the dream he has is some what different in game
Curse machines with kids and they after Abby to join them

The kids have been fans of the games for years. Apparently there are lots of nods to the games hidden in the film version. One for the fans I guess.

It has some jump scares too
And thus that police woman knew a lot too
Unless the last machine was a man was strange
The fact that foxy was an actual animatronic just makes it better.
