I used to have an older version of the Gooloo jumper and needed an ugrade. This one is as reliable as the other one….never lets you down. Jumps everything without any difficulties. I highly recommend
I have had issues starting my Honda Firestorm after being laid up over the winter months despite a good battery on trickle charge. With this pack it starts immediately. I can’t comment on its longevity but I bought on the recommendation of a mate who has had zero issues with it.
My car battery is crap and if I don’t give it a good run it doesn’t start, I bought this and thank goodness I did or I wouldn’t get anywhere! so easy to use, I was really scared but after the first time using it i am a pro!
A must to have if you have a car ! Fantastic value , works lovely every time . Looks nice really compact and you can keep under seat and take in with you . I am so happy I bought i
In all my years of driving I very rarely needed to jump start my car, however, with an old camper I thought I should get something like this.
Bizarrely, that’s when my wife’s Hyundai started having problems despite a new battery, and this thing has started the car every time.
Something to bear in mind is that chargers traditionally don’t work if the battery is totally dead as they need a small amount of power coming from the battery to allow them to work. However modern chargers usually incorporate a boost button which gets around this issue – and this unit has one of those.
This morning – no charge after connection, press Boost and it starts. A very useful thing to have around.
This is an awesome bit of kit. It is quite small so I was a. It dubious about it. However it started a 2 liter diesel engine with ease. (On a number of occasions). Bit expensive, but when you have. A flat battery well worth the expense.
Obviously, under ‘normal’ conditions, the unit should’ve been recharged BEFORE first use but unfortunately for me, my Land Rover battery was flat (a known issue on this occasion) and with just one bar showing as needing a top-up, I had to use it as was. It performed flawlessly after just a few seconds of connection! Immediately afterwards of course, I recharged the unit for the next situation.
Very intuitive to use even without reading the instructions, which I did immediately after first use!
My Vauxhall Agila would not turn over and start after non use over Christmas. So after looking at various starters prices and reviews I decided on this one GOOLOO GP3000. I have only just got round to use it today and thinking the battery must be quite flat by now . I connected the charger to the battery , got a green light to say enough charge still in battery, so no need to use booster button. Got in car and it started straight away! I am so pleased with this Starter. Engine running within minutes. The body feels quite robust. The instructions are easy to follow. Charging is straight forward. I would recommend this quality product.
Excellent solution to jump start a van battery where the vehicle had been left for a couple of months without being run and battery had drained in the cold weather – attached to battery terminals, switched it on and started the engine. Used about half of the power of the pack for a VW Crafter big battery – Simple! (getting to the battery on a van was more complicated than using this power pack!). A.great emergency kit for any situation where a jump start is needed. Perfect for emergency situations – car/van/boat, wouldn’t be without it now I have one!
Having used a few bulky / heavy duty boost starters in the past and a couple of smaller compressor / boost starter combis I was dubious this would have the power to give a good boost given its size. Pleasantly suprised by the amount of power it outputs happily starting a 3.2 diesel shogun as if it had a heavy duty lead acid battery. Also used to power a Jaguar while swapping batteries to avoid losing the code. Only used the compressor once for a wheelbarrow tyre but it did the job. Quick and easy to charge so a handy unit to keep in the car.
Overall very impressed with the power available from such a small unit that can be recharged via USB!
Bought this as having problems with a battery, a friend used his charger he had bought so we have gone with the same make, I’m hoping not to use it too often.
This really is an excellent product that can get you out of a tricky situation should your car battery fail or if you got a flat tyre. For someone like me, who is on the road all the time, as I am a driving instructor, this is an essential accessory for me to keep in the car.
I had one previously, but when it came to start a vehicle with a totally flat battery it let me down, and wasn’t powerful enough to turn the engine over. When I compare this one to my old one, this one is a lot heavier, and the stated power is a lot more, and it also has the ability to pump up your tyres and it has a light.
I’ve tested this on my spare car with a battery that I knew was totally flat and this had no trouble starting it. With the addition of the car tyre pump and the light this really is an excellent product, that you can also use as a power bank if you wanted to charge something like your phone with it.
For me, one thing that let this down, and stopped me giving it the 5 stars that it probably deserved is the tyre adapter and the hefty price tag. The tyre adapter is the old push and click type rather than the screw on one, which I prefer. The screw on ones are just simply more reliable and they stay put when you screw them on, whereas the push and click type sometimes just come off if they have not clicked on properly.
This is also a bit on the expensive side, and if they could get this down to under 100 rather than over it, then I would definitely still have gave this 5 stars as the tyre adapter is more of a preference than a problem.
Easy to use, quick to set up – plug and play. First, top up it’s charge to max at home with any phone charger (usb c connection cables included) only took a couple of hours. Connect red then black clamps to car battery terminals, press small boost button then hit ignition – car started again after a flat battery caused when interior light was accidentally left on. 55 quid with discount – bargain. Also acts as powerful charging bank and torch, quite heavy and bulky – think bag of rice so not that portable for day to day but handy to keep in the car just in case. Just need to remember to keep it topped up every four months.
i ordered this because it said it could output 1500amps, when it got here I read on the back that the standard output was 400amps, so I was not expecting it to jump start my Mercedes’ humongous 900amp battery.
I tried it and it didn’t start, then I saw the boost button, pressed that and boom IT STARTED!!!
I was preparing myself to return the thing but thought let me at least try it out so I wont be lying when I would report that it didn’t work.
So far, I am very very happy with it, and the fact that it arrived with enough charge already was a huge bonus. I don’t often review things so this has earned enough respect for me to take time to write this essay of a review LOL. Its compact and offers other little features like a torch and USB charging so I know I can be in the sticks and not be dead in the water! Especially because I know my cars battery cant be jump started by the mediocre batteries in my other cars or regular sized cars. A recovery mechanic once told me, this size of battery is what is found in trucks and vans and not usually cars (you can guess it, my batt died before on a motorway services station so I had to call out roadside assistance). ANyway,, enough waffling, buy it, give it a try. it will likely surprise you like it surprised me 🙂
I had doubts when I opened the box that something so small would be able to start my car’s two litre diesel engine. The car had not been used for weeks and although the battery wasn’t completely dead, it would not turn the engine over. I charged the device and then, following the simple instructions, connected the clamps to the battery terminals, pressed the boost button and turned the key. Wow! The engine turned over faster than I had ever heard it crank before. In a few seconds the engine was running.
I recommend this device as in my opinion it is so easy to use and comes with accessories making it a versatile piece of kit. With it’s torch function, device charging ability, and the fact that it can be used to power many 12 volt accessories, you need never be left stranded again. I found the instructions very easy to follow and It even has a failsafe so that if someone were to connect the clamps the wrong way round it warns you.
My opinion? Buy one of these, pop it in the boot, and hope you never need it. Then on a cold wet night when you get back to your car and find the battery is flat because you left the lights on, you’ll be glad you have it.
