I love this camera! I got it for journalling to take photos and make stickers and scrapbook, and I am not a child. It’s not the best camera but it’s good fun and who doesn’t love a little novelty sometimes? Bargain price.
These six rolls of thermal paper come simply packaged (with no warnings to keep them away from heat and light) and are designed for use in thermal printing kids cameras. They are a perfect fit into both my kids cameras (different brands). The quality of the paper and the printing is much the same as the rolls that came with the cameras so I am very happy with these 6 rolls of thermal printing paper, they should last a while.
My children and I couldn’t be happier with the joy and creativity it has brought into our lives. The instant print feature has turned every photo into a magical moment for my kids. Watching their faces light up as their pictures come to life is priceless. Despite being designed for kids, the camera doesn’t compromise on image and video quality. The 1080P resolution and 16X digital zoom ensure that the captured moments are clear, vibrant, and worthy of cherishing. The 2.4-inch screen and straightforward controls make this camera incredibly easy for kids to use. The menus are intuitive, and the buttons are large enough for little hands. The inclusion of a 32GB TF card and a set of colourful pens was a thoughtful touch. It’s a complete package that allows my kids to start capturing and customising their photos right out of the box.
Our 9 year lols nephew loved this .. plenty of paper on the free roll for an afternoon of fun .. highly recommend- bought a similar product for 6 year old nephew.. who also loved it!
I was interested in this to see how well it could print a picture while you wait.
It is a plastic camera basically but it is quite chunky and, with paper roll inside, is not that light either.
It has a screen on the back with 5 yellow buttons. The screen is just under 3″ and is colour, with a fair resolution on it, ie you can see the individual pixels, but only just!
The shutter button is a nice big round button in the middle of four oval buttons, so easy to spot which to press, I did have some problems remembering how to access printing on it, however, so it does need a little bit of study of the instructions, as some buttons have more than one function.
On the front is the lens, which has a small round shiny button let into it – I realised later that this is a “selfie button” that just reflects you and helps line up your face if you are taking a selfie with it, using shutter button the rear of course. There is also a light which gives some illumination in dark situations.
Finally the whole camera sort of slides apart so you can install a roll of thermal paper in the printer mechanism – this was very easy to do – you just drop in the roll and tear off the surplus once the camera is closed again. I understand these rolls of paper are the same as used in lots of tills, so they are available very cheaply. (there are three rolls included in the kit, and I haven’t finished the first roll yet).
The camera is powered by its own internal rechargeable battery and it seems to last a long time before requiring another charge.
I took this with me on a weekend at a hotel with several friends and it was a bit of a hit when i was taking pictures and handing out instant prints, this isn’t just for kids!
The camera looks really grown up, the quality of the pictures are fab, purchased for my daughter who’s turning 9 and I’d even get one for my 14yr old to be honest!!
This camera has some great features. It includes a rechargeable battery which adds convenience, eliminating the need for frequent battery replacements. The screen on the camera is great for making it easy for kids to frame their pictures and enhance their photography skills.
The use of a thermal roll for printing pictures is a unique feature that contributes to my overall user experience. It simplifies the printing process and eliminates the need for additional ink cartridges or toners.
This camera is particularly effective for sparking interest in photography among children. It’s easy to use, coupled with the instant print feature, which gives them instant gratification and makes the entire photography process enjoyable. Overall, it’s a great little first camera to try out and potentially spark a hobby.
A lovely camera which can print out the pictures if I want. I can also select not to print which is great as my kids would waste all the paper.
It’s easy to operate even by a 4 years old. He can play, but the buttons are not very logically designed to contol. It naturally comes that the big button in the middle should be the OK but its not.
The package contains 5 rolls of BPA-free thermal paper, enough to print over 600 photos, in black and white.
This kid’s camera toy can be used not only as an instant print camera, but also as a digital video camera, MP3 playback, time-lapse and burst shooting, playback, puzzle games and more.
My son enjoys the frames, filters and stickers he can use.
Works well, has a good price.
This great camera is well equipped with not only a 24Mp resolution but the capability of printing out the resulting photos. The box shows it pink but thankfully it was white as shown in the Amazon description. I was a bit concerned that there would not be enough paper to print on, but it comes with three fairly substantial thermal rolls, one of which is already installed in the camera, which should still be enough for plenty of photo, Each roll should be enough to print about 75 photos according to the description. To access the roll, the camera needs to be split open by pushing the back of the camera (where the screen is) upwards away from the side where the lens is. It is quite tight but eventually will come apart with care. A fairly comprehensive instruction booklet gives clear guidance as to how to use the camera.
It has a 16x digital zoom, but this is not as good as optical zoom and could well pixelate at maximum zoom possibly spoiling the photo although this is supposed to be a fun camera for a child so maybe that’s not too important. A 32 Gb card is provided so there is plenty for storing both photos and videos. It also has flashlight built-in which is a good feature to have. There are also various effects built-in, as well as photo frames and filters for the creative mind. The camera is charged with the included type C cable although a power supply will be needed for it.
Additional features include a music player, four puzzle games, and some colouring pens, so a perfect all rounder for my six year old Grandson. I know he will love it.
Fun camera for the kids.
The camera is charged with a USB cable and the battery life lasts a long time before the need to re charge. There is an auto off that you can change the duration to help make the battery last.
The camera is a little tough to open to replace the thermal paper which a child would find hard to get into which could be a good thing.
A slight drawback is that the buttons are hard to see and read due to being all in yellow but with guidance the kids can use it well.
Depending on the brightness of the picture taken the print density can be changed to improve the definition however the preset of 3 is good enough for most photos. Whilst not in colour, a good cheap way to get fun photos done.
The additional video function is good.
Games are included which is a nice feature but can detract away from actually using the camera.
This comes nicely packaged and comes with simple instructions to get you going.
The first thing you need to do is to open it and feed the paper. This is a simple task which involved sliding down the back and then it opens like a clam-shell. I like this idea, as a child isn’t likely to do this, whilst keeping the task tool-less.
The menu system is fine, nice and clear with big icons and simple for a child to navigate.
There are plenty of backdrops for you child to choose from and most can benefit from being coloured with the supplied pens.
I really like that this has had plenty of thought put into it. My granddaughter has spent a good deal of time with this and loves to take a picture and colour it in and then presents it to the person as a gift.
This will get lots of use I am sure.
I think the reduced price of 33.99 represents great value for money and I would certainly recommend it at this price. At the full price of 39.99 it’s fine though, if you know the recipient is going to get use from it.
In white this looks like an ordinary camera .
Probably a bit large for “children” Good quality photo and video saves to SD prints, photos on thermal paper in black and white .If not for the childish graphics on the setting screen you would think this is a great diary crafting camera ,the pictures are quite detailed.
I love it as a novelty camera to add to my collection with the shoot and print it has its uses.
Is this a 40 camera ? I suspect not your getting into the price of “proper” cameras and some of the details on this camera are useless like the very basic ” games” as most kids these days seem to top of the range cameras,I’m not sure who the camera is aimed at .
In fairness I received this free to review and I like it ,as a novelty would I actually buy it ?……………

So well made at such a good price
The print quality is, of course, low fidelity, but in a surprisingly pleasant way. They did a good job setting it to print in grayscale with a nice fine grain. So, it doesn’t look like some bad xerox—low resolution but pleasantly so.
The camera is chunky, which is fine, and sturdy. There are lots of little apps to keep children entertained. The highlight is, of course, the print section. There’s a button that switches it to printing, so the shutter button takes a picture and starts printing it. One can choose from plenty of frames for the photo, including some birthday card styles and various seasonal options for Christmas, Easter, and so forth.
I think it’s a pretty creative little thing to give to a child, and even some adults into scrapbooking might actually enjoy it.
One roll is already in the camera, but it needs to be extended to start printing. Opening the camera works by sliding the front (see picture). It will require an adult to open, but it will not open accidentally if dropped. Two extra rolls give plenty of pictures to be printed, and they’re probably not hard to find in shops or here on Amazon.
I think it is worth 40, because it is a self contained creative thing which kids can do autonomously.
Of course, one could do more with a action cam and then software, and a printer. But that would require adults to assist or would be too fidly for a child to do often.
It is like with music I think, the best instrument is not the best sounding but one which kids can use by themselves, carry around and just enjoy any time they like.
So 5 stars from me.
