Wonderful device for the price point. Lack of a dedicated graphics card limits what the laptop is capable of, but outside of that limitation its an excellent machine that’s capable of most tasks effortlessly. Unless you’re gaming, this is a bargain. If you plan on running any game more complex than Minecraft, however, look elsewhere.
So far so good, this is my third laptop in a year the other two I returned as they were faulty. So fingers crossed for this one, I have to say that Amazon came through with the refunds even though one was over the 30 days. So five stars to Amazon.
The laptop is incredible for its price(399) it’s fast and has a reasonable sound, however the quality of the screen is not the best but it’s good and applicable
Again for its price and processor it is very good
+ Excellent laptop. Lightspeed compared to my last.
Dolby sound is surprisingly good (through headphones and bluetooth speakers). The built in speakers are a crime against humanity.
Saw worrying reviews about the screen but it’s fine. No eye watering glare.
Battery is between 2 and 7 hours depending on what setting it’s on. On battery saver it’s not noticeably slowed down, again this is a high end i5 which is it’s selling point and it’s a bit power hungry.
Nice looking design too, sleek.
– Not a fan of the offset touchpad, feels unbalanced. No separate buttons to click either, if youre like me you’ll be looking down to see where to press more than usual.
If the price is around the 400 mark, grab it with both hands. It’s a little gem hidden in a sea of mediocre laptops.
Overall great laptop, amazing value. Great for work and casual gaming. Powerful CPU and RAM setup. Okish GPU. More than decent for watching YouTube, Netflix, coding, word processing etc
Battery 5 to 2 hours depending on workload. 47wh.
Gaming
CS2 1080p low settings – 30 to 60 fps, 45 avg. I was quite surprised how powerful an integrated GPU have become. Check out YouTube for games/performances.
Can support 2 other monitors, via HDMI and USB C.
Lovely keyboard to type on.
Screen is TN 60hz, and low contrast. Fine for indoor use, don’t expect miracles. Webcam is 1080p.
Speakers aren’t that great, but you really should get a Bluetooth speaker/headphones if you care about music.
Hope this helps.
I found this laptop to be sturdy and easy to use I like that it has a number pad. It will not win many awards for looks or outstanding performance, but I guess at the price I can’t complain.
Lots of people complaining, but I have nothing bad so say apart for the sound, it’s a bit low. But the performance is great, even playing games I play on Xbox S in it. Very fast start up and responses.
I have used a Lenovo laptop for work for a couple of years so had high expectations of what the product would provide.
My expectations were exceeded with this newer model.
The IdeaPad3 is ideal for both home and work activities.
Very pleased with this purchase.
Bought this laptop on black Fridays sales, was very glad I did. Stacked specs, aesthetically pleasing laptop body, and it works as expected. I would highly recommend this model for anyone looking for a powerhouse of a computer at a bargain prices. Grab before they are gone, which is inevitable
Very powerful.
Screen is doo doo.
Sound is also doo doo.
But if you need a powerful laptop with an amazing price to performance ratio and don’t particularly care about screen quality or sound then it’s perfect.
oh and fans can be kinda loud but shouldn’t be too noticeable in most environments
I’ve really only ever been a tablet guy since the original iPad came out 2010, however, you still need to have a base computer due to the realities of work. In my case, I am a medical doctor and a research scientist and in order to do my job, I need a decent Windows laptop that allows me to run scientific and analytical software (used to have a Mac but having to use Parallels to do this was just a total faff). I’ve never been into spending a whole lot on laptops so when I came across this deal during the 2023 UK Black Friday week, I couldn’t resist. The 16 GB of RAM allows for quite speedy multitasking (as well as gaming) and the 512GB SSD offers more than enough storage. Set up was a breeze and I was able to easily link all of my Microsoft office and Xbox/Steam accounts to the PC. Lenovo is one of the best brands out there; don’t settle for generic. You know you’re getting a reliable machine. Battery is fine. The only issue as others have pointed out is that the keyboard IS NOT backlit as is in the photos but that wasn’t a selling point for me to start with. Very happy all told.
