A solid and very durable board. My daughter loved the pink colour and the teddy bear design. It also comes with a strap that attaches to pull it along.
Ideal for helping with my daughter as to help with her to her tiptoe walking and getting her used to using and feeling her heels to move around.
Also a lot of fun when my daughters are pulling each other around and sitting on it.
Would recommend!
Witnessing the impact of this sensory scooter board on a friend’s child, who navigates the world of autism, was truly heartwarming. It’s more than just a toy; it’s a companion in their sensory exploration. The design, tailored to their needs, seems to provide a sense of comfort and engagement. Watching the child maneuver and interact with it, I’ve observed improvements in their balance andcoordination.
Our youngest in care with us has been with us for a few years now and we’ve grown to know exactly what he needs on a daily basis, part of that is a lot of sensory play and learning which include being able to be tactile with everything he does and this little scooter board allows him to join in with a lot of the fun that we normally wouldn’t be able to concentrate on.
It’s basically just a flat board with four wheels on it that you can push around but it’s the fact that it’s really solid board that can be jumped on that isn’t going to get damaged and also that has wheels that you can’t really get your fingers stuck into so if you’re talking to them and want to be able to get engaged with them then pushing them around whilst looking at them and talking to them means that they will be a lot more focused on what you’re talking about or at least how a young one in care is.
My youngest is always wanting to play outside but he does like to ride on things as as he is getting older/bigger, without spending a small fortune on cars etc for him, this was the next best thing. He adores it, it’s so easy for him to just get around and be mobile. It seems very well made and sturdy so far, even his older sisters have had a go on it and it’s held up well. He has had to learn some new skills for getting around on it and a different balance. Fun idea for play time.
A very fun and easy to use toy that can fuel entertainment for ages, the handles provide and easy grip for a child, and the board rolls smoothly against a majority of surfaces. Creates a fun experience for a child, as well as helping improve fine motor skills
I have mixed opinions on this. Playing with my grandaughter she loved to sit on it and have me push her around, she can also move herself around either sitting or lying on it. It did concern me over safety though, if you sit on the edge it tips easy and moves quickly at the slightest touch. more suitable for older children. The actual board is made from strong plastic so sturdy, you just need to be careful when getting onto it. Adult supervision is advisable
This is a lot of fun but also a bit dangerous for younger kids. Not sure what the black strap was for but the kids have all had fun arguing over who’s having the next go so I’m assuming it’s a winner!
This scooter board is so much fun. It is a sturdy, quality made item and will hold up to 11 and a half stone in weight, which is amazing. The castors swivel 360 degrees and work brilliantly on any hard, smooth surface. Grab rails keep little hands away from the wheels. Can also be used with child lying on tummy, just make sure they’re aware of the castors so they don’t accidentally catch their hands while they’re zooming around.
Highly recommend!
This scooter board is really great toy for my autistic 4 yo child. When I got this and open I was thinking to send it back, because I haven’t find anything interesting, but my child loves it. It is very sturdy. Nice green colour and drawing of bear. Easy to hold handles on both sides. Big size, so my little one can stand, sit in different positions and also lie down on it. Wheeles are very good and great turning and moving around – outside in the yard, at home on laminated floor or carpet. We also got black rope to pull this board, but my child prefer to ride alone without my help. She spends a lot of time with this board. Put her toys there, sitting wirh the book and so on. So I really haven’t expect it will be such a good toy. Price is afordable. Highly recpmmend it!!!
As an SEN worker I’m always the first to dubiously check the supposed benefits of any “aid” for SEN. Some are clearly financially looking to fill their pockets with half measures and strategies, or alternatively are so niche that it’s hard for their businesses to keep going even though what they provide is very relevant to their selected audience.
This is essentially a warehouse trolley converted into a sensory toy and it works incredibly well. Decent industrial quality trolley wheels gives this board an incredible range of motion and it works great on flat surfaces. The board is wide enough and the handles on the side help for kids to sit on it at speed.
The handle provided is a small strip which you can tie round. A hole on either the front or back of the board allows for the strip to be used as a pulling device.
The range of motion thanks to the wheels is great, it’s a sturdy construction too. Does it develop motor skills ? No not really they are sat on a open trolley. But for sensory seeking support its a great device.
There is a small pattern of an amorphous bear in human clothes on the front so older kids might be looking at it a bit meh but other than that a great device.
