Mayoii Portable Carrying Case Compatible with Pokemon GO Plus + 2023, Thickened Shockproof EVA Protective Case for Pokemon Go Plus Plus with Carabiner Clip and Wrist Strap
In all honestly i have no clue what the go plus does other than its something for my daughters game however her dad told me to get this to protect the thing when its in her bag and she loves it. She has it clipped to her bag every time she leaves the house and always knows where it is because of this so it must be good.
As peripherals go, the GO Plus+ is a little on the pricey side, so it makes sense to protect it if possible. This little hard body case will do the trick.
It comes with an extra wrist strap in black, which some people may prefer to the bright yellow colour of the original GO Plus+ strap. The black wrist strap lacks the magnet that’s embedded in the original yellow strap, and which allows you to connect that to the yellow clip that also came with the GO Plus+. But I think if you’re mainly using the GO Plus+ for Pokemon GO, rather than Pokemon Sleep, that’s not a huge issue. And if you want to, you can also just stick with the original strap and its magnet. It’s possible to store both straps in the case as well as the GO Plus+ – the case will close and zip up with one in the mesh compartment, and the other – still attached to the GO Plus+, with its strap tucked up into the compartment as well.
The little clip on top of the case is handy for attaching it to a backpack. Because it’s a hard body case, you can’t press the GO Plus+ button while it’s inside the case – if you were wondering if you can manually catch Pokemon with it inside the case, you can’t. But if you store the GO Plus+ in the case, you can always set it to automatically spin Pokestops and catch Pokemon, but you won’t also accidentally press the button when you don’t want to, saving a bit of battery.
The case design is simple and neat, and clearly meant to suggest a Pokeball in a subtle way. The side of the box mentions that if you have a silicone, TPU or crystal case around your GO Plus+ it should still be able to fit in the carrying case. I don’t have any of those, so I can’t test that out myself, but if those other protective cases aren’t very thick, I can imagine it fitting.
The case seems to be reasonably well made. I don’t think 8.99 is an unreasonable price given the quality and usefulness of it.
Sometimes buying on Amazon is a bit of a gamble but this is much better quality than I expected. The shell is hard enough to protect it, the internal net pocket is great for the charging cable or an extra strap, and the zip seems strong. The carabiner is also VERY useful for attaching to the outside of my bag (for easy access when in manual catching mode)! I really love it.
