Like the idea it has separate switches to each plug, can now plug gadgets in when needed and switch on/ off as needed. Well made and price is good too.
I like it, plugs into the main socket with no wires to get tangled, I have my microwave, induction hob ,and my small oven plugged into it I would recommend it to anyone.
This Plug Extension Adaptor sitting above the wall socket makes it much easier to switch on and off individual items without the need to stretch or having to bend down, also the delivery was promp
Just plug into your socket. No gimmicks. All 4 sockets sit above (or below if you bought the one that spins in any direction) plug sockets, so you can still use the other socket if you have a double socket that it’s plugged into.
I must say I particularly like the fact each socket is individually switchable, this was my main criteria. The quality is excellent but I must say the one weak point is the stabilising screws which I found a little unstable, having said that I still highly recommend this extension socket and not forgetting the usb sockets, so essential these days so much so I have bought a second one.
As per images and description you got what you buy. Simple plug and play. One note, it’s a bit loose and the extension with all connections taken can fall from the main plug. For this reason is 4 stars.
I bought this to replace an extension in my kitchen, and it’s added extra sockets. It’s tidied up the area where I need more sockets for appliances in the kitchen. Looks fine, happy with the purchase.
Great if your socket is low down near a surface and you have large bulky plugs. It’s not that stable if you want to take the plugs in and out. We used the sticky pads for each end but these didn’t last long when pulling out the plugs.
Bought these to avoid having a lead across the floor and don’t have sockets with switches. As soon as I plug something in its on. These are nice and compact. Have a light on when power is on so can clearly see if I have left something on. Good for the electricity bill.
They feel a bit flimsy but have worked well. Very happy with them.
I thought this would be the answer for me as I wanted extra sockets and usb and to raise the height. However, the switches pack up after several uses and can’t be operated. The first one that did this was still within the year so I got a refund but the second one had now gone the same and it’s a bit too late. Won’t be buying any more.
Great product, but the levelling screws are slightly too small for our placement.
If the socket in which it is placed, protrudes from the wall slightly, you can use the two levelling screws to ensure that the extension socket is placed firmly against the wall.
Unfortunately for us, the screws were slightly too small so that even when they were fully extended, it was still slightly unstable.
We managed to use four plastic adhesive discs that came with the socket, to extend the length of the screws and this made it more stable.
I’m sure some people won’t have this problem, but it slightly let down what is an otherwise great product.
The one in the kitchen seems quite sturdy, and the little sticky pads that come with it work well against the kitchen tiles, but I cannot say the same for the one in the lounge.
The sticky pad which are included are for securing the top of the unit to the wall as it is plugged in with the plugs above the original. There are two screw adjusters each side so you can make them straight with the gap between the wall and the unit. The sticky pads are to help secure the unit to the wall. However, the sticky pads do not stay sticky for long on a painted wall, after about 4 weeks the pads are starting to peel away easily. This is not a massive problem, you just need to be extra careful when removing plugs for the socket so that the whole unit does not come out with the plug.
I do like the colour coded switches, this means I can switch individual items on or off without having to try and remember which plug belongs to which device.
Overall, a good buy, but remember to keep the spare sticky pads so that you can replenish them if they start peeling away from the wall.
In my kitchen there are 3 x double sockets and a single socket with the cooker switch. This Last single socket is the one I use the most as the other double sockets are 1) for the fridge freezer and is skirting level, 2) the 2 other double socket are under a double cupboard and over a slim counter top and are really only useful for my toaster and coffee maker. Now the main reason for this review, 3) the most used single socket by my cooker, I use this for my kettle and microwave and for my food mixer ect. I had previously used a plug extension and all appliances were continuously plugged in. I had been looking for one which the individual appliances could be switched off, as I was worried that I could be overloading the original socket, I also found that since the old extension socket was off the type that hung below the socket it was sometimes difficult in removing the appliance plugs when finished using them. I had also been looking fur an extension socket that would sit above the wall socket. This extension plug socket was absolutely perfect for my needs. It fitted in the area with ease. I was able to plug in the 3 most used items with a socket spare. I liked the facts that they were able to be switched on and off individually and that they were colour coded. I matched one socket and coloured light switch to my kettle when that was switched on!. This extensiion also didn’t interfere with the ability to turn the cooker switch on or off. There are two little wheels which are at either end of the extensiion plug socket which you turn to release two little legs which are to rest it against the wall. I couldn’t use these as I have an electrical wire cover that interferes with this. I don’t find it detrimental to using the sockets though by not using the legs. I’m very happy with this socket and wished I had found it much earlier.
