I only started using this in June and it’s only September now. This tooth brush only lay 2mins why do I have to keep charging it !!!! I am confused ! Not happy with it!
Excellent product, works so well.
The only design floor is in the actual toothbrush. The labels to differentiate between each one in the family is so pale, you can hardly see them. Not as good as the colour bands used on the style ones.
Ive had loads of electric toothbrushes but never an IO. I got this because of the Prime deal. I am so glad i did.
The IO series is lighter, has a better ergonomic feel and in my opinion makes my teeth feel so much cleaner. The app helps track cleaning to make sure you get every part of your mouth for the correct time and at the correct pressure. The vibration of the brush makes teeth feel really clean.
It isnt as loud as other electric toothbrushes which is great if your up early like me and dont want to wake the whole house.
It looks good and modern and its easy to use and pair to the app.
This is a great performing brush and has a handy travel case too.
I dont know if id pay full price as its very expensive but well worth it if you can get it on a prime or black Friday deal or something
Decided to upgrade from a manual brush to electric and this brush is brilliant. It’s got multiple settings depending on how powerful you want the brushing to be. The main thing for me though was the battery life. My kids have electric brushes and the batteries in theirs seems to only last days meaning constant charging. This brush lasts pretty close to the 14 days it states and indicates when the battery needs charging. It also connects to the app and shows you in real time where you’ve brushed and which areas you’ve missed.
The only criticism I have is that for the price tag (because this wasn’t cheap!) I’d have liked a few brush heads to be included rather than just one.
I’m pretty sure some of the cheaper toothbrushes are still using NiMh batteries, which need to be conditioned before first use and the battery health maintained by proper charging and discharging.
These iO toothbrushes are a fair bit dearer, but the batteries are lithium and a full charge lasts whole weeks. Downside is the brush heads are quite expensive, but it’s all bells and whistles, so if you want to analyse your tooth brushing routine via an app on your phone, you can but I’m too busy watching paint dry to do tha

Will say this before you purchase this though…. make sure you have a travel adapter eu to uk as it doesn’t come with one
Love the way you can link it to the app and see exactly how much coverage you are actually brushing. It also tells you when to charge the battery and when you should change heads. I also liked the sensitive setting. It also warns you when you are over brushing with too much pressure in certain areas. It’s a great visual way to aim for 100% coverage and a score of a 100 by limiting any overbrushing. Excellent electric toothbrush.
I have been using this for a couple of weeks and my teeth and mouth feel so much better. It was great value as it was on offer as well
I like that it is so quiet and smooth when brushing. Great that It is interactive with your phone. Gives encouragement to brush longer and records your toothbrushing performance and gives tips
The bristles seem to catch even the smallest crumbs laving your mouth feeling fresh and clean. Settings are adjustable and the handset lights up red if you press too hard.
It’s a nice package that contains everything you need to use the toothbrush at home or when traveling.
It boasts many different modes, but I’ve found myself reverting to the default most often.
Battery life seems ok so far.
This electric toothbrush is a game changer! It feels like such a thorough clean and the colour indicators help give the optimum pressure. The App showing coverage is also a nice feature. I tried the intense mode and that felt very good. Overall an excellent investment in oral health!
This is a really good bit of kit, so much better than my old brush. Teeth feel so much cleaner, it’s great. Haven’t managed to get the Bluetooth to work, but I’m not sure that I care, so haven’t tried to solve the issue. Worth the investme
The toothbrush itself is amazing. I definitely notice the difference vs the old Oral-B. The LED light is handy to figure out whether you’re pushing too hard. The Bluetooth, app, etc gets old very very quickly. Unless you’ve always deeply wanted to keep track of your tooth cleaning sessions, you most likely will forget about the app very quickly. So in my opinion you’re better off going for the iO3 and save yourself some money. (I’ve bought both. I gave the iO5 to my 13yo daughter just in case the app might be more useful to her. She never uses it either).
The brush itself is really great. It feels very premium, sturdy, smooth and high quality. I love the sort of gentle but firm vibration. It’s a cut above the standard 30 OralB brushes I’ve used for years.
My teeth are noticeable whiter / cleaner after brushing for 2 mins on the standard setting (I’ve never used the ‘whitening’ setting).
Replacement heads are expensive but there’s always cheap no-brand alternatives for this sort of thing that are identical.
I got this in a Black Friday deal making it a ‘no brainer’. Would high recommend (for the right price).
It cleans my teeth fabulously. The app seems ridiculous, but it’s there if you want to know exactly which tooth you’re brushing. Thing is, I can’t turn it off. I can turn off the brushing, but then the lights stay on, and i just put it back in its case. The battery still lasts ages and ages, and i’m sure i’m just not holding a button long enough or something, but for something that should be so simple, it seems daft. The light that tells you how hard you are pressing is great. I have nerve damage from jaw surgery and can’t feel my gums very well, so this feature really does help me a lot. Really happy i bought it, even if it glows for long periods of time…
I do not know if it’s the io tech & the different toothbrush head which has made this improvement or both together. Both my brothers have bought them. Know there pricy but look for offers definitely a big step up from the standard electric .
Some comments about the number of cleaning cycles from a fully charged battery. All I know is if I charge the brush every week I have no problems.
The features we love are
– Completely guides you through your brushing
– Pressure sensor which turns red if you are pressing too hard, green for perfect pressure and white for not enough pressure
– The different modes you can brush your teeth
– The app gives you ‘goals’ you can choose such as working on bad breath, stained teeth etc
– The app shows you which areas you need to work more on and guides you through this
– Battery life is great and lasts a few days without needing charging
– You don’t have to use the app every time as it automatically syncs your cleans from the brush to the app so you can still check your progress.
The features we don’t love
– The Bluetooth is a bit spotty and doesn’t connect all the time to the app so you have to reset it quite often
– It’s a bit pricey but it’s good when its on offer and absolutely worth it
Overall, it’s absolutely worth it. Especially if you struggle with bad breath or you miss areas when you brush. If you want to feel like you’ve just been to the dentist after every clean then I highly recommend this toothbrush. I’m actually confident enough to smile showing teeth now as it gets rid of stains and keeps teeth squeaky clean!
It arrives with a charger, travel case, brush head holder and 1 brush head. The design of the toothbrush is really smart and sleek. But it’s not just style over substance, the toothbrush really feels incredibly modern in comparison to my previous model: it’s very quiet to use, and without sounding too clichd, I do feel like I’ve gone to the dentist and received a deep clean but without that sensitive feeling; it’s still very gentle. The small brush head feels like it cleans my teeth so well. It’s also very user friendly too. I initially thought the different modes would be a faff to navigate, but I have been enjoying using the different settings depending on what I require that particular day.
My only wish would be that you could recharge it via USB or alternative. The battery does last for approximately 10 days, but if I went on a 2 week holiday, I would feel the need to bring the charger along.
It doesn’t feel like a repackaged updated toothbrush, this really feels like a high tech revolutionary product, the AI brushing tracker has taught me where I’ve missed cleaning, which I found really useful and wasn’t something I’d realised until I started using the brush.
Not only does it only thankfully vibrate at the toothbrush end, but my teeth have never felt cleaner! It has a small head so it can be angled anywhere in the mouth to give a really full clean. I don’t feel like there’s bits I haven’t been able to clean properly. It is also great for cleaning the backs of my teeth and in between.
I really like the fact that it’s pressure sensitive so you can choose what level works for you. I also like the colour coded band of light around the middle, although you will probably need to be looking in a mirror to see it change. The green light indicates you’re using the right amount of pressure, red too much and white not enough. When I’ve seen it turn white, I know that I’m not pressing hard enough so I make the correction. All very useful to get a full clean.
The battery life is excellent. I have had it for over a week now and only charged it once when it first arrived. It senses vibrations so actually lights up as you’re about to pick it up. I like to think that it’s pleased to see me! One downside though, and the reason I took one star off, is the fact that it only comes with a shaver-style plug. I understand Oral B’s statement is that this is for safety reasons, but as I don’t have this kind of socket in my house, I had to go and buy a separate adaptor, which was annoying. I would rather this had been an option at the time of purchase. I don’t know anyone who actually has one of these plug sockets in their bathroom so I would imagine most people would have to buy a standard UK 3-pin adaptor and charge the toothbrush in a different room. All seemed a little unnecessary to me.
Overall an excellent toothbrush and I’m very pleased with my purchase. I would definitely recommend it to others.
My first impressions were sleek black packaging, which comes with a travel case, charger, and head. A sturdily designed toothbrush that feels good quality.
This toothbrush has some very cool features when you connect it to the app available on Android and Apple it can you are brushing your teeth. I am you can track your brushing and pressure and my teeth feel cleaner after only a week.
The app was user-friendly I have never had the toothbrush not connect to the app immediately and no dropouts like other products.
I will not be going back to the traditional manual.
So far I have only charged once so battery life is good. Used as mentioned for a week brushing 2 times a day. Total usage 4 and a half minutes of brushing a day. Still going strong.
The only downside to this product is the price. Although the base product is very good quality the carry case is very thin plastic and the toothbrush doesn’t come with an additional head which I would have expected for the higher price.
If you want an intuitive, clever toothbrushing system that will most importantly leave your teeth feeling cleaner and money is no object then this product is for you.
