Fitting well, protecting well from wind and rain during my walks, from the seafront to the Downs. Dries quickly after a 40*C light wash cycle. Comfort and peace of mind, enabling me to enjoy outdoors and love the english weather!
I work outside in all weather. Wearing waterproof over trousers is fine but they seldom breathe so you end up wet anyway. Not with these gems, I wear all the time dry or rainy, and yes they are waterproof and do breathe, fleece lined so warm as well. Sizing perfec
These trousers are well made, the feel strongly put together like they won’t come apart at the seams. They are very easy to clean with mud wiping away and they are cosy on a cold winter morning walk. I found the fit on the waist a bit off and the velcro adjustments are annoying as the bars which hold them in place tend to turn from vertical to horizontal, it’s a minor annoyance though and there are belt loops if you want to war a belt with them instead.
These trousers fit me well and are comfortable and warm. I like the waist adjustment straps. However please be aware they are NOT waterproof. I sat in a wet patch as an experiment and within just a few seconds my underwear was damp. They’re probably ok in light rain, but won’t keep you dry if you sit on wet grass.
after having problems trying to find ski pants that were long enough in the legs but not too big in the waist for ( my son ) who is about 6 foot but slim and after looking on loads of sites including my fav brand I ended up buying these ski pants I initially ordered a size 34 waist & 34 leg but once delivered I realised the 34 was wayyy too big in the waist so opted for size 30 waist 34 leg and got them today and they look about right the material is thick the fleece lining is good but just be sure to order a size down coz they really are big made
i brought these to go to Iceland. i wore them with an old pair of low tech base layer. with wind chill down to -18c, they kept the chill away and i never felt the cold. they are so comfy when walking, driving, slipped in the snow a couple of times and nothing came through, although we had no rain the see if they were fully waterproof. the Velcro adjustments were useful, to get the right fit, rather than use a belt. all in all well worth the money and as good as, my Trespass ones.
Ive been looking for some thermal lined trousers for months, I have purchased a few and have returned them as the lining was ridiculous and the descriptions of them were not correct. I took the plunge and ordered these trousers and straight away from the first opening I knew these trousers were different, just from the weight of them. These are NOT heavy when I say the weight of them, but the quality. I ordered a size larger but that proved not right, so I tried them on and knew these were for me. The quality of materials and the thermal soft lining is luxurious, and I mean luxurious. I returned the larger size, ordered my real waist size, prime next day delivery and that was it. 30 mins later I ordered another pair in a different colour. I am wearing the black trousers as I type, the whole of my legs are warm and cosy, I hate cold weather and draughts, I normally wear jogging bottoms around the house, I work from home and when the heating goes off during the day I feel the cold on my legs. These trousers are smart, I will be going out in them, great with boots or trainers, fully zipped pockets front and back, thermal lined all the way from top to bottom of the legs. I cannot say enough about these trousers, for the price of them they match up with Northface, honestly and a third of the price for decent thermal waterproof trousers. They are casual loooking as well and no one would know that you have thermal trousers on. I really do recommend these if you feel the cold or dont want to feel the cold.
Great pair of trousers for the price. They are as good as another more expensive pair of softshell trousers that I own. They are windproof & showerproof. Haven’t been out in a thunderstorm so don’t know if they are waterproof. A good fit especially at the waist with the velcro adjusters. They have kept me warm on daily walks during the recent cold spell when it dropped below zero. Would buy again from this company.
Pleased with my purchase. I’ve worn these outside on a damp and chilly day coppicing hazel trees and they keep my legs warm and dry. I love all the zipper pockets to hold things securely. My one observation is something another reviewer mentioned – size. Leg length on the black trousers is slightly longer than on the dark grey version. The waist size is also inconsistent with black 36″ not a great difference from dark grey 34″. If I were to buy these again, I might opt for a larger waist size. Other than that, they’re what I wanted for working outdoors in chilly weather.
Bought these for my husband who was going on a Northern Lights Arctic cruise. Left to his own devices he would have gone to the Arctic circle wearing jeans. Luckily we found these, waterproof so stay dry in the snow and rain, and fleece lined to keep warm. These proved to be very popular and hubby was happy to wear them all day, in the bar, on deck, and out in the snow, and was very glad of them. Although waterproof they don’t look or sound like some old style waterproof trousers, and were comfortable to wear all day. He loved them, and liked all the pockets included one with a zip. Now he is back in the UK he is wearing them when he goes to watch his football matches, and stays warm and dry no matter what the weather is. He even wears them indoors when the weather is cold and the central heating is on low. He just wishes he found them sooner. Great quality too.
I bought a grey pair of these they are excellent and a great fit and so warm, so I bought a black pair. The black ones are much tighter and supposedly they same size which they are not. Looking at the labels between the two they are different label styles and I think the blacks are old stock starting with a 21 on the product number and appears to be made by a different company. The fitted pair start 23 This is a shame as I have returned these and have no confidence in the fact if I order another black pair I’ll get the correct ones. EDIT: I reordered a black pair and they came through with 23 on product number and fit great. So all good.
Very comfortable, and if its not cold out, can get quick warm just walking the dog.
Storm Ciaran highlighted that they are waterproof up to a certain degree which was still very good. They were absolutely saturated though.
The best waterproof trousers I have bought so far.
I ordered a W36, hoping that I could adjust it to about W35. But the velcro on the waist will not allow much shortening. I will have to order a W34 and hope that will allow what I want. It’s not guaranteed, because there is no actual elastic in the waist.
I could not try them out, but they look and feel ok. The pockets are a reasonable size. The leg may be a bit longer than expected.
Sturdy and well made. Tried them out for a few days now. I am slim built and normally 32 waist and 33 leg. Trousers bought were 32 waist and 34 leg. I do wear a belt to keep them up but they are not over large. The legs are neat and if I had large thighs or calves they would be skin tight if they fitted at all. I do wear a very thin thermal base warm layer underneath but it would not affect above. I have no problem with wet as my waterproof coat covers the pockets and normally I would wear over trousers. My main purpose for the trousers was warmth. The are warmer than my ordinary pair and the material feels lovely and thick. Mine are used mainly for dog walking.
