Received it today and after setting it up I put 2 bath sheets folded in 4 to get it into the dryer. Dried from use in about an hour. Would not put it in straight from the washing machine but after a bath to dry it is fine. Installing the cover is simple if you ignore the two sides clips. And it used 12pence according to the smart meter. So not mega expensive to use. Overall not a bad little machine for freshening up clean towels and clothing. If you use it occasionally and not for the weekly wash it’s great.
I’m really happy with this electric clothes dryer. It’s easy set up and it’s surprising how many clothes it can take. It has to be hung up, I have a clothes rail in my spare room so I hung it up on that. It has different heat settings and timer with a sterilising function too. It dried a full washing load of different materials, lightweight t shirts to jeans in under two hours which I thought was good. It has got a lot of use so far and has been a godsend for me.
This drier was so easy to set up. All I needed to do was to screw a hook above a door, then hang the drier from it. Attaching the cover was easy to attach, it just clips in to the underside of the heater, and it was ready. Tried it out for the first time with a pair of jeans and a pair of trousers which were hanging over the bath, but still damp. One hour in this drier and they were dry. Brilliant.
This is super handy for shirts in this cold weather! Creating a dry, crinkle free shirt! Does just the job it says on the box. Takes up slightly a lot of room but can easily be transferred.
I actually quite like the idea of this clothes dryer and is pretty handy for travelling but I did find the cable to be way too short and the maker needs to provide much longer wiring as I did have to use an extension plug. The device itself doesn’t use a lot of energy compared to a tumble dryer at just 600W although clothing does tend to take longer to dry so I’m not sure if this saves energy in comparison.
Where this is handy is when we go to our winnibago (which is parked up on a campsite) which doesn’t have space for a tumble dryer and is compact enough to use and store away.
It does need to be hung so we did need to install a large cuphook and the heater actually blows downwards rather than upwards like other designs which is a bit odd as usually these dryers tend to have the heating blow upwards.
The dryer uses ceramic technology (aka as PTC) which tends to be more even heating and instant too.
I’m a bit surprised for the price of nearly 60 at time of review that this doesn’t have more robust zips. The manufacturer really should put tougher, chunkier zips on this. I think you need to use a bit more care when zipping and unzipping the actual bag bit and don’t get anything caught in the zipper or you’ll end up with a busted zip.
The design is a tad on the 60s style lol but I actually really like it!
I do think that this could be better made for the money as there are a few other options that are comparable but better made.
I particularly like the UV sterilising mode that can kill germs on garments although I’m not quite certain many germs will remain on a garment after it’s been washed though! I still like the idea of the UV mode built in and is quite unique compared to other manufacturers and could be reassuring for those drying babies clothing for extra protection from germs.
A bit cheaper and this would be a good purchase for those looking for a portable clothes dryer for your caravan or where space or cost doesn’t allow a conventional tumble dryer. It can cater for quite a few garments too and could be a better choice for more delicate fabrics that would suffer in a tumble dryer.
I like it but the makers need to address some design issues to make a better product.
You hang up the clothes dryer and put your clothes inside the attached collapseable cover, once switched on warm air flows over the clothes and drys them very quickly, ideal if you need to wash some items while travelling but don’t have access to a clothes line or airer.
A great little dryer for clothes, to use at home for a few items that don’t need a full tumble dry load, or even better for drying jackets etc on the go, on holiday, or if you have a motorhome or caravan.
The unit folds down really small and all components fit inside. It is easy to use (just 3 buttons with 2 dryer levels and a timer, and a UV function). There are detailed instructions, but honestly, it is very intuitive.
It looks like, and a little retro, doesn’t make too much noise, and works really well at drying clothes.
The one downside: the build quality of the liner for hanging the clothes – it came frayed on the inside and needed a few strands snipping off. The zips are also low quality and they won’t last long. That’s a long term problem because you can’t replace the drying zipped bag.
