Brilliant vacuum! Been lugging round a heavy, corded Henry so was so excited to finally have a light cordless. Lives up to all expectations! Suction power is great on both carpet and hard floor, so easy to change between the two settings. The vacuum head has headlights lighting up all the dirt – its actually better to vacuum in the dark, all the dirt shows up!
Easy to empty the dust but be careful to do it very close to the bin or some dust will fly back out. My favourite feature is how easy it is to change the attachments, even while the vacuum is on. So I can switch from the main head to the detail head to the upholstery head in seconds.
Hair did get wrapped around the roller but this was easily remedied by cutting through the hair and pulling them out. Still functioned well even with hair stuck.
Make sure to read the instructions to properly prime the battery and to make sure you’ve sorted the guarantee through Shark.
It has actually made vacuuming fun! Recommend to all 🙂
Purchased on Black Friday at almost half price.
Arrived quickly and well packaged.
Only took a few minutes to put together. Takes about 3 hours to charge.
Suction is amazing and works so much better than my Henry hoover. However I find that when I hoovered my rug the rug gets caught up in the rollers.
Works great on carpet and Lino floorijg. I used it on my car and do very well but I could do with a flexi hose to make it easier.. It does come with a car detailing kit with a flexi hose but not for will not work on the crevice tool and the not tool. The first time I used the pet tool on the car seat I managed to knock the dustbin off due to. It being flexible.
It says up to 60 minutes of battery life which I find hard to believe. On full power I found I’m lucky if I get 10 mins use which is very disappointing. I low power mode im guessing about 20-25 minutes. I’m not sure if the battery is faulty but this don’t seem right. I have only had this for 5 days. Overall pretty good apart from battery.
I needed a new vacuum cleaner and my old Dyson was on it’s last legs. I needed something lighter and more manoeuvrable, and a bit cheaper. This does the trick. I have 2 dogs and 3 cats. I vacuum round twice a day now because it’s so easy. It slides under the furniture so I don’t have to keep moving it. No cord means not having to keep unplugging when I run out of length. The stairs are a breeze to clean now, whereas before I’d worry I was going to trip and fall. 1 full charge does the whole house, 2 bedroom terrace, it has great suction but doesn’t suck up the rugs. I didn’t get the pet hair tool but the brush attachment is great for grabbing hairs and fur off the sofas. Really easy to empty. Cleaned the filter once so far and it was easy to do. Great machine, highly recommend.
I never thought that purchasing an item used to keep my house clean and tidy would bring me so much joy. I have never been able to replace the original Dyson I once had (that was the best hoover I had ever used until this one) and found myself having to buy so many different hoovers over the last 10 years. I’ve tried them all! Hetty, Henry, VAX, Hoover, those 30 ones you can get from supermarkets – I’ve tried ’em all! I needed a new hoover as the Vax I had stopped working. I’ve seen adverts for Shark on TV, and even watched someone on YouTube purchase one so I decided to go for it. THE BEST PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE! This hoover is incredible. Using the highest setting, the battery lasts maybe 35-40 minutes, but on the standard setting it does last up to 60 minutes. It came with a Shark branded tote bag, 3 different attachments and a manual. Easy to set up, came with about 75% charge so was ready for use straight from the box. It is simply amazing. Stairs? Easy. That one corner in your room that you’ve never been able to get to cause every other hoover has weighed a ton? No longer filled with cobwebs. No more switching plugs 4 times so you can do the whole house! Would highly recommend.
I’ve had this as a secondary vacuum cleaner and a Dyson V10 pet and now can compare. The Shark’s brush is easier to clean than Dyson but quite heavy and a joint has already slightly broken due to its weight and sideways maundering (don’t try to push the brush at the end sideways and rather twist the head right and left so it turns). There’s significantly less suction in Shark but still manages to pick up stuff from the floor and if you run out of juice just replace the battery to continue as opposed to Dyson which needs to recharge first.
I purchased the Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner [IZ300UK] and I must say it has exceeded my expectations in every way. This sleek and powerful vacuum cleaner has made my cleaning routine a breeze. Here’s why I give it a solid 5-star rating:
First and foremost, the anti-hair wrap feature is a game-changer. As a pet owner, I often struggled with tangled hair clogging up my previous vacuum. However, with the Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum’s innovative technology, hair wrap is minimized, making maintenance and cleaning hassle-free.
The PowerFins technology is another highlight of this vacuum cleaner. It effortlessly lifts and removes dirt and debris from both carpets and hard floors, leaving them immaculately clean. The suction power is impressive, and I no longer need to go over the same spot repeatedly.
The cordless design is incredibly convenient. With a single battery, I can clean my entire home without worrying about plugging and unplugging the vacuum. It provides excellent maneuverability, allowing me to reach even the trickiest corners and under furniture effortlessly.
The black and copper color scheme adds a touch of elegance to the vacuum’s appearance. It looks stylish and modern, blending seamlessly with my home decor. Additionally, the build quality feels solid and durable, giving me confidence that this vacuum will last for years.
While the Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner [IZ300UK] is exceptional in many ways, there are a few minor downsides worth mentioning. Firstly, the dustbin capacity could be slightly larger, as it requires more frequent emptying when dealing with larger messes. Secondly, the battery life, although decent, could be improved to provide an even longer cleaning time.
Despite these minor drawbacks, the Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner [IZ300UK] delivers outstanding performance and convenience, making it a top-notch cleaning companion. It has significantly reduced my cleaning time and effort while consistently producing excellent results.
In conclusion, I wholeheartedly recommend the Shark Cordless Stick Vacuum Cleaner [IZ300UK] to anyone in need of a reliable and efficient cleaning solution. Its anti-hair wrap feature, PowerFins technology, cordless design, and stylish appearance make it a standout product. Despite the slight limitations in dustbin capacity and battery life, its overall performance and user-friendly features make it a worthwhile investment for maintaining a clean and pristine home.
This is a great performing vacuum cleaner – superior to my old Dyson.
I would highly recommend purchasing a second battery as one battery can drain quite a lot if you have it on any other setting than the lowest and charging can take quite a while.
This is a great lightweight cordless vacuum but I feel the weight if the battery let’s it down a bit. A slimmer lightweight battery would be a better option in my opinion.
The main tubing, I feel, is fairly flimsy and was not expected – I’m putting this down to cheap manufacturing and then placing the ‘bend’ in the tubing which automatically creates a weak point.
There is no option to be able to hang up in storage and it will fall over if needing
left for a moment to move something – being disabled, this is the most difficult part as laying it on the floor then picking it up again is not something I can manage.
Otherwise….
On the plus side it is super disabled friendly (dare I say even child friendly with simple button to push and manoeuvre?) with how lightweight is, simple buttons for using and emptying. The suction is fantastic even on the lowest setting. Simple to change to a different tool for different jobs. It eats everything put in its way, no matter the size – it will happily eat a pile of dirt/crumbs etc as well as the odd socks found lurking under the children’s beds….. (even had a good go at one of the dog’s toys found lurking somewhere)
You can take the battery off to charge or leave it in place and charge when attached. Charge cable is a decent length and adapter is marked with the brand name so easy to decipher when amongst other cables/chargers.
Edit: the “flexology wand” hinge on one of our vaccums broke 13 months into the regular household use. Just waiting for the other one, which is used slightly less, to go now as it appears to be a very common issue. 30 to replace the part, which according to reviews, lasts anywhere between a month and a year. Great idea but poorly executed. Another design flaw causes the entrance to the waste container to get blocked with dog hair with pretty much every use even if the container is not full. Still great battery life and accessories but pain in the backside due to the design flaws
My partner and I bought one of these each for our households, after battling with hair and mud spread around the houses by our three dogs. Even though we had a one year old vacuum cleaner each (different brands), also marketed as excellent for pet hair, which coped fine with our one dog at the time, once we’ve added two big hair-shedding furballs to the mix, we started to struggle. This review is based on two of this model used daily for a couple of weeks. So far: suction seems good, battery life excellent (managed to hoover the whole of downstairs on 40% it came with initially!) and so far, only had to dismantle and unclog it once, compared to every 5 minutes with the other two brands. It’s easy to empty, the dual-battery charger is neat, and it’s not too noisy, the smaller pet-brush is great for soft furniture and stairs.
Things to be mindful of: it’s heavy, I’m yet to find a way of using it on smaller rugs/bathroom matts without sucking them in, the hypo-allergenic attachment seemed great for dusting furniture but appears to be smearing it more than removing it (again, dusts builds up quickly with the three dogs) but all in all, a great purchase. Also great: it came in paper and cardboard only packaging, not a single plastic bag inside!
