We have our Switch set up in the living room, but occasionally want to play on the bedroom TV. This is nice to make it easy to go from playing on one TV to another without having to move the whole system. It works well and was easy to set up as well.
It works as it should. And at this price point, the fact that it works good and has lasted the past few months of my kids abuse, makes it a steal.
The docking station for the N/switch is good quality and holds the switch well. It is nice and compact so takes up less room, and easier to pack away if you want to take away. It is easy to connect to the TV (or other device) through the hdmi port, it also has a USB port and a USB C port for the wall plug. The docking station is ideal as you can still see the screen whilst it is charging unlike the charging station that comes with the switch.

I was surprised at how small the docking station was. Fits nicely in the palm of your hand and takes up way less room on the TV stand the original dock.
The stand works well and all connections work just as well as the original docking station. Good product.

In my gaming setup, this docking station has been a worthwhile addition. It’s compact and doesn’t overheat, a common issue with other docks. The quick switch to TV mode is seamless, maintaining the game’s visual integrity. The stability is notable too; it stays put, which is more than I can say for previous docks I’ve used.
The Joy-Con charger is a simple and functional USB charging solution designed for Nintendo Joy-Cons. It allows you to independently charge Joy-Cons without the need to connect them to the Nintendo Switch console, which is great if you have an extra set.
One of the key advantages of this charger is its straightforward usability. You connect the Joy-Cons, and the USB cable connects to any USB charging port. There’s an LED indicator that indicates when the Joy-Cons are fully charged. This feature eliminates the guesswork associated with checking the charging status.
Having spent countless hours gaming, the portability of this dock caught my attention. At first glance, its foldable design hinted at convenience, especially for those impromptu gaming sessions at friends’ places. While using it, the HDMI output was snappy, delivering visuals crisply within seconds. I appreciated the efficient side ventilation; it ensured my console didn’t overheat during extended plays. The non-slip base also kept my device secure, so no more worrying about mid-game mishaps. It’s indeed a handy accessory for any Switchenthusiast.
This comes as a bare unit so you’ll need your own power supply/cable and HDMI cable. If you are just replacing the original dock and still have a working power supply you can of course use the original one with this, if you need a new power supply be aware that you need a 15V/3A power supply, a standard USB one won’t work, you’ll need a high 55/65W+ psu they can deliver 15V.
The design of the dock is good. The support folds out and it’s easy to dock the Switch. It’s not quite as nice to use as the original but it’s smooth and easy to get it in and out and it keeps the Switch stable despite it’s small size.
Set up is very easy and it seems to work every time without any problems.
It’s great for traveling with its so much smaller than the original.
At the time of review this was under 19 with a voucher which I think is pretty good.
The official switch dock is unnecessary large and inconvenient when travelling. I tend to take my switch home and back to work again and this gets very annoying. This little device is great for on the go and work pretty much the same way. It charges the switch and also connects via HDMI to project it onto a screen.
The folded form also protects the connector so it can be bashed about in a bag however I would try to keep this protected as it doesn’t seem to be able to withstand large knocks.
This folding dock is a very useful little gadget to take on your travels which is exactly what I did on a recent trip. It connected to a hotel TV perfectly using HDMI and the original switch USB mains cable. The main advantage of this dock is that it is very small in size compared to the original dock and so can be folded and taken anywhere. However, there were a few niggles that wouldn’t make this a 5 star product. If you have any sort of protective shell or case that adds thickness to be back of the device, then it will not work. I have a Spigen protective shell and this had to be removed for the Switch to fit this dock. Secondly the unit makes a whistling noise when plugged into the mains which is noticeable but not a deal breaker. Once you have the game volume up, you will not be able to hear it. But if you are just charging it using the dock in a quiet room then it may annoy. Overall, this is one of the better dock products that gives you a lot of functionality when on the go.
This compact charging dock is incredibly useful for travel or as a spare docking station. We even use it in our sitting room as a backup to the main dock upstairs in my son’s bedroom. It’s simple to set up and operate, making it a convenient addition to any household.
I wanted a dock to play my Switch on multiple rooms in the house and this does exactly what I need it to, with the added bonus of being tiny and taking up almost no space when it’s not in use.
There’s not really much more to say about it. It works well, is affordable, and should last as long as your Switch does. Of note, you’ll need a spare power cable and HDMI if you want to use this in addition to an existing Switch dock.
This is a very nice dock. It is super compact so works well as something to throw in your daily carry bag. Break it out at a mate’s house and start playing. Thoroughly recommended.
Often find that the kids want to play multiplayer games at short notice, but the spare controllers need charging?
This allows you to start playing whilst charging. The connector is USB-A and the cables about 1.5m long, meaning 2 players can be up to 3m apart. There are some useful LEDs on the plug to tell you when the controller is fully charged, or if charging is ongoing.
It is worth noting that this charge cable can’t be used with the joy-con slide on wrist strap attachment in place (as the wrist strap slide on attachment blocks the charging point – so I don’t see a design change that could avoid this ). But that is not a big problem.

I’m always a bit concerned when using third-party docks and chargers for the switch, so I was a little hesitant to try this. However, it seems fine from initial use if using the official switch charger, and I can’t stress enough that when using something like this you should be using a charger from nintendo to keep your switch safe.
That aside, and as far as third party docks go, this one has a lot to like. Its incredibly compact, and the connector folds out to stand the switch on, meaning this is very likely going to fit in whatever switch case you use. It’s got power deliver, HDMI, and a usb port, which is more than enough to just get it up and running, and also connect whatever usb accessory you need, like a gamecube adapter. It has silicone feet which keep it steadily in place wherever you put it.
Overall it’s pretty good, compact, and does exactly what you expect. The plastic does feel a little cheap, but this seems to be aimed at being ultra compact and portable, so this isn’t enough to rate it low, especially at a fraction of the price of the official docks.
If you have a child which spends half their time at moms and then the other at dads, this is a wonderful buy so a dock can be left at each house and only the tablet needs taking. This dock basically works just like the official one but does feel and look a little more bulky. Has a selection of slots to send the data to your monitor or tv and also connect any external items. Instant connected without any faults or issues and zero lag either! Overall a fab item which is made to a high standard, set at a fair price and works just like the official dock.
This thing is tiny!
It functions exactly the same as the full sized Switch dock, but at a fraction of the size, so is perfect for carrying around inside a travel case or similar.
You’ll need the same connecting leads as used with a standard dock (power source & HDMI), none of which are supplied so if you don’t already own a dock then you’ll need to purchase these.
The top of this dock folds out and you then place your Switch against the back plate while connecting your Switch to the docks connecting port. It’s a little bit more finicky that the original Switch dock, which just allows you to plonk your Switch into it, but this tiny dock doesn’t cover the Switch screen at all, so no danger of unwanted scratches when docking.
Anyway, once all set up it connects quickly to your TV and works exactly as it should.
A handy alternative to a full sized dock.
What else is there really to say! I got this as I’d like to have an alternate dock for my switch if I were to take it to a different room of the house, does exactly what you’d want it to do! Plugs in via the USB-C slot at the bottom of the switch rather than some magnetic magic that the stock dock has going on.
UNIVERSAL COMPATIBILITY SWITCH DOCK THAT SUPPORTS SWITCH/SWITCH OLED DEVICES. CHARGING STAND WITH HDMI AND USB 3.0 PORTS AS WELL AS AC ADAPTER. IDEAL FOR SEAMLESS GAMING. NON SLIP DESIGN WITH GREAT VENTILATION. SMALL AND COMPACT SO IDEAL FOR TRAVEL.
This is a brilliant little docking device to enable TV play from your Nintendo Switch console.
It works in exactly the same way as the original docking station and uses the same 2 cable (USB power and HDMI) which are not included.
It is super easy to set up, just plug in and select the HDMI port on your TV, the start up screen showed up straight away. Plays as expected with no lag or glitches.
It is much smaller than the original dock and folds down into a really neat portable size. Great for taking to friends houses, or away on holiday. We’ve recently returned from a holiday abroad and took our regular dock, this would have been very handy to take with us instead.
Also would be good as a spare or replacement dock.
Excellent value for money!
A tiny little switch that does just what it set out to do.
Minimal design and ports but enough to complete it’s objective and complete it well.
An action packed little black box and a very good addition and investment.
We have a couple of switches as the original dock stopped working and when looking to replace it, it made more sense to buy an entirely new switch than pay nearly 100 for a new stand-alone dock. As such, we constantly have to cycle between charging each as and when needed which is inconvenient and often leaves us waiting 30 mins before we can play. As such, I have been looking for a cheap replacement and this looked just the ticket!
The first thing I noticed is how small the thing is. It’s 2-3 inches square when folded and easily fits in a pocket. It is also surprisingly well-made and robust thanks to a well-designed folding mechanism which keeps all the important parts safe when stored. The size means the connections are efficient and only what is needed – an HDMI out, a single USB, and the USB-C connection for the power. This is all that I think I will ever need and it all works brilliantly with my 55″ LG. I have tried both the standard Switch and the OLED and both work great. Considering its size the dock is remarkably stable and has replaced the cumbersome official dock as our first choice for playing on screen, as it is so easy to move between rooms. The official dock now sadly sits there as a rather bulky charger and has been replaced by this excellent value, incredibly well made and portable solution.
Our Switch (a pre-OLED version) goes walkabout around our house more and more, and it was time to get a more formal set-up for it in our boys’ bedroom- and this is a neat and compact way to do that. It has a very small footprint when not in use, and with a bit of cable tidiness, it can be quite discreet.
It works exactly as expected. Fitting the dock onto the dock feels a little more old-fashioned than with the official dock, you have to be a bit more precise and somehow the fit feels a little less forgiving too- on the official dock you can more or less just plop it down in vaguely the right position and it docks nicely, but that’s not the case here- but that’s an inevitable part of the design and size of it.
The HDMI and USB ports work as they should. A video signal feeds our telly, and the USB port can be used to introduce new controllers to the Switch with no issues. Functionally it behaves exactly like the branded dock.
It’s worth mentioning that this device doesn’t come with an AC adaptor, and you can’t just pop any old USB-C charging cable into it. I believe a Switch usually works at 15V, and most standard smartphone chargers are just 5V- and if you try to use this using a 5V charger, you get bad results. However our Switch will cope with a 45W laptop charger being used, so buying a cheap generic laptop charger seems to be the solution there. And it’s a simple electronics problem to do with the power that a Switch needs, not the fault of the dock- an underpowered power lead would give the official dock similar problems (but the official dock comes with a charger).
It does feel a little bit flimsy in some ways, and it is a little lightweight. When you lift the Switch off this dock, it is quite easy to lift the whole dock up instead by accident. Taping down the dock helps with that though. But the emphasis here is on convenience and portability, and the design of the dock definitely works for that.
This is a very useful resource its made really well this is perfect for any travelling plans it fits in any pocket and works extremely well its just plug and play really very good value for money
I decided on this so that I could easily dock my Switch in more than one location. As a bonus, this will be great if I need to travel anywhere as it is so compact.
It basically does the same as the original with the same ports on the back but in this case they are open not hidden away. Placing the Switch on here takes very slightly more attention to line up the USB-C plug to the socket in the bottom of the Switch. As this one doesn’t cover the screen it will not scratch it unlike the original does.
Everything works the same, the Switch charges and the screen displays the output.
