This is an extremely sturdy mount for a phone. We used it as a windscreen phone mount so have the full arm attached as well. The sticky surface of the suction pad is more than adequate to hold it in place on the screen and I have no doubt that it would work just as well if mounted to the dashboard. If anything it might be safer on the dashboard as it looks like it’s going to be difficult to remove from the windscreen once settled.

The arm is jointed and allows for a good deal of movement to position as you need before locking it down with mechanical pressure tabs. Once locked in place everything feels very sturdy.

The magnetic attachment is really strong and works by attaching a ring directly to your phone but unfortunately not strong enough to get through a decent leather style case. Attaching it to the back of that type of case is impractical as they usually bend in the middle to function as a stand, so you’ll need to attach this to the phone itself and remove it from the case to allow it to work. This can be a bit of a faff, especially if your phone fits very snug into its case.

I think this mount is designed to work in conjunction with magsafe cases though so the fact that they still include a couple of these rings is helpful, even if they don’t always suit the set up you have.

    Overall a very good mount!

I am impressed with the Ugreen Magnetic Car Phone Mount. As someone who values convenience and efficiency, this product met all my expectations.
Compatibility with MagSafe technology is a game changer and ensures my iPhone 14 is kept safe and secure with the MagSafe case.
The 3-in-1 design allows me to effortlessly mount it on my dash, windshield or air vent, giving me flexibility and ease of use.

Ive used both mounts and they both performed well enough.

I struggled to fit the vent mount, yet my other half did it in no time.

Im not a big fan of window suction mounts, but I do fid it allows me to use the sat nave on my phone in a better position to view than when my phone is on the vent mount.

The magnet doesn’t feel as strong as some, but it has held my phone in place.

Easy to apply and pretty strong suction at the windscreen.
The holding bit, it’s a simple snap and go- MagSafe or magnetic ring is needed ( included )
Strong hold and easy to rotate.
Good solution for navigation and no obstruction for charging.
No messing around with clamping and fiddling with rotation.
One hand operation and holding steadily.
Reasonable at under 19 with voucher.

I decided to try this out and install it into my old Vauxhall Tigra so I could use the phone as a sat-nav system for a long trip, more than just having easy access phone convenience. I’ve used some other kits previously, a long time back, and they proved to be less than adequate, to say the least.

I only used the extending arm that would install into my airvents on the dashboard, and it went pretty smoothly in that it seemed secure enough. I have my iPhone SE (quite a small phone compared to some of the giant mini tv’s out there) in a quite thick case, because it has a double holder for bank cards and other stuff, as well as a small zip pocket for a few emergency pound coins. Applying a sticker on the back of that for the magnet function to work didn’t seem very secure, but i’ve put that down to how heavy the whole package is, with all my rubbish in there. It was also not feasible to use it like that anyway, because the front flap would need to be open to view the screen, and I couldn’t exactly wrap it round the back of the phone, over the sticker, else I’d be sticking a magnet straight over my cards, even if it did work.

Anyone who knows anything about what magnets can do to card strips will know that’s not a great idea anyway.

Taking the phone out of the case and sticking a magnet direct to the back worked ok, and it seemed secure, although to someone paranoid like me, that’s always careful about exposing the vulnerability of a phone with a glass screen to the bumpy roads around town, it’s pretty nervy. I’ve yet to lose a phone to smashed-screen-syndrome yet, so probably other people wouldn’t consider this. As I say, it seemed to be secure enough for most people. In an ideal world I’d probably like to surround it in selotape, but that’s because I’m an idiot 🙂

Conclussion: using it exactly as you’re supposed to looks like a good bet. I’m sure the claim that it’s adaptable to multiple different vehicles is true, if it’ll work ok in a rare-ish (translation old) car like mine.

Just to add, i did also check the position of the phone with the other part of the device that you can stick on the windscreen or dash, and it does seem that most positions will be possible for the phone screen, even for the passenger to navigate, should that be something you’d set it up for.

It’s not too expensive so can’t really fault it.

Ugreen products are normally well built and well thought out and this product is no different. The phone holder with suction arm has minimal wobble and holds strong on the windscreen. This did not work too well on my bumpy curved dashboard but your mileage may vary depending on the attaching surface.
It’s great that a vent holder is also included in the box and this also holds steady on my X1 vent, however I would be a little hesitant on pulling too hard on your phone when removing as the magnet is very strong. I tend to hold onto the back of the vent holder and gently slide my phone off to prevent damage. All in all, this is a fab product that gives you two options for attachment and the build quality provides confidence that this should last me a long while.

The holder arrived in a nicely presented box along with vent holder, screen suction cup, ball socket and collar mount, two stick-on metal rings ( presumably for non MagSafe phone holders/ phones) , plus instructions.

It’s made of decent plastic and the magnetic holder feels weighty and looks good quality.

I have reviewed a number of magnetic phone holder/chargers for my car recently in a quest to find one that actually works with my Citroen C3 Picasso vents. Unfortunately a lot of of them have not faired well because of the weight of my 13 Pro max and the vents have dropped down or have fallen off after a short while others have not been good enough at all.

At last I have found one that does seem to work as advertised.

Fitting on the car was very easy it’s a matter of pushing the ball and socket together onto the main vent section and then using the barrel thumb wheel to turn out the metal hook which I have to say protrudes well out of it and well inside of the vent (which I personally found to be the best type of attachment for my vents).

This one has a collar on it which means when tightening up against the vent face the collar ” locks” against the vent surround too keeping it in place so it can’t drop and it holds it all in place . Very simple but very effective.

Therefore it stops the phone which is a heavy 13 pro max from pulling it down under its own weight on the vent swivel.

The magnet is nice strong too and holds my phone on solidly even when I’ve got my MagSafe silicon case on.

I also tried the suction cup attachment on the screen and it worked really using the locking latch holding it steady . I particularly liked the angle and length adjustment with locking knobs.

At this time I prefer to the vent attachment so there’s nothing obscuring the screen when I’m driving.

I’ve used it on all types of roads in the last 2 weeks, some very potholed roads locally, over ramps and humps and it’s stayed put, no issues whatsoever. It holds it rock solidly.
I can’t ask anymore than that.

I’d definitely recommend this one for those having trouble getting a phone holder that will work with a similar type of vent, especially having a heavy phone like a 13 pro max that hangs down because it pulls down on the vent mechanism under its own weight . This one would definitely be one on my shortlist.

I also think it’s a decent price ( 19.99 at the time of the review).

A good quality magsafe phone mount which can be fitted to both a vent mount or a dash mount.
The magnet is strong and it is well made and solidly put together. It took a bit of a time to install, but this is probably down to me. All in all a good mount.

In the box – sucker arm and vent mount with interchangeable magnetic head. To be fair what you see on the listing reflects exactly what you get in the box. Includes metal ring if your phone or case doesn’t have a magsafe attachment. Instructions are very comprehensive but unfortunately there no guidance in the box as to where to place the magnetic ring but there are plenty of youtube video on placement (we’ve checked!) We used the grill mount which is excellent as it has a metal hook and a “steady fitting” which holds the mount against the grill. We have used other similar mounts which have a plastic clip and are not as secure. The sucker works well on the windscreen but it meant the phone was out of reach for mapping (we have a wide dash). We did try mounting the arm on the dash as shown on the listing but unfortunately our dash is more dimpled than that shown on the listing and therefore it didn’t hold well even with the multiple adjustment you can make to the arm.
Excellent value, easy to use and hold phone well — highly recommended.

    In a nutshell:

    Things I liked:

+ Phone can be windscreen mounted or vent mounted (but not both at the same time.
+ Reasonable price from a branded phone holder (20) – much of my UGreen stuff has been of very decent quality, and this is no exception.

    Things I didn’t like:

    – If you’re using a MagSafe phone/case, I’d imagine many would also want charging. But if you don’t, this is great.

    Do I recommend it?
If you don’t use wireless charging, then this is great. Extremely well made, holds the phone great. If you do regularly use wireless charging, I’d recommend something else, but if you’re not interested in wireless charging in car, I don’t think you’ll get much better than this.

This is a flexible magsafe phone mount for your car, offering both a vent mount or a dash mount if this is your preference.

    Pros:
    – The magnetic grip feels strong and seems to happily hold the weight of a regular phone (pixel 7 pro).
    – The vent mount felt solid once in place
    – The quality of the materials used are of a good quality as I’d expect with uGreen.

    Cons:
    – The vent mount is a little tricky to install and somewhat more difficult than the instructions would have you think.

Overall I would recommend the product. It functions well and whilst I’ve only used the vent so far I’ve no reason to think the suction option wouldn’t work well too. The installation is a little tricky and despite claims it does block the vent on my car from moving hence the mark down.

I always trust Ugreen for my cables and accessories, I currently use a cheap plastic universal car mount as I used to have an iPhone 7. Recently upgraded to a 14 and wanted the ease of Magsafe. The quality is outstanding, the magnet is VERY strong your iPhone won’t be going anywhere, has a warranty. I would only get this for iPhones with Magsafe however if you have a Magsafe case or use the phone without a case, when tried with a Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus the magnet didn’t work or hold, and when tried with a non-magsafe case on the 14 it also didn’t hold. HOWEVER, it does come with a metal ring you can stick to your phone or non-magsafe case to make it magsafe/compatible with the mount which I tried and did work. Therefore still 5 stars, I have a magsafe case anyway so this didn’t bother me much.

Suction pad is excellent on this one, has a slight tacky feel to it to help it adhere better to the windscreen. The magsafe mount is solid and the phone does not fall off even over rough ground or speed bumps. Has a good range of mobility so you can position it anywhere.

I really like this mount. Having had quite a few over the years that bounce and do all sorts of things, this mount is one of the better ones.
With a case on I had to use the extra ring on the outside of the case, but quickly cleaning it with isopropyl and drying it off, and leaving it the described 12 hours to allow the glue to work has done the job well.

I’ve mounted it to my screen (dashboard is too wavy to get a good seal) and again cleaned it with isopropyl before mounting to be sure and leaving it for 4 hours.
I will say its pretty hard to remove it and change position if you need to, which is both good and bad, but otherwise its ON THERE, and I have no fear of it coming off even in sharp corners or very bumpy roads. At full extension I have no concerns that its going anywhere, and has minimal bounce with the iPhone 13 that Im using it for, unlike some others.

I can’t say much about the vent holder sadly as it doesn’t work with my vents (circle vents in an Alfa) but thats expected as they are kinda weird!

First thing you notice when you un pack the Ugreen car phone mount is the quality in both materials and how well it’s packed in the box, i recently reviewed another phone mount and that was all plastics and just thrown in the box, not so with this Ugreen effort.
    What you get,
1 ball and socket magnetic mounting disc/plate
1 windscreen/dashboard suction mount including an extendable arm
1 ratchet air vent mounting device
2 magnet rings for the back of your phone
    Instructions
You get three mounting options with the Ugreen car phone mount, you either connect with the air vents or connect to the windscreen or dash.
Whatever way you choose you do use the ball and socket magnetic disc attachment for both, just losen the threaded collar, insert the ball joint and tighten the collar.
The windscreen or dash is connected with the suction method that uses a combination of peel off sticky backing and a lever you press down until it locks into place
Be careful when placing the suction device as the peel off sticky backing is very sticky, just be sure to test fit before peel off the backing.
For the asking price this is great quality and definitely fit for purpose witch ever way you mount it.

The UGREEN Magnetic Car Phone Mount, compatible with the MagSafe car mount, is for anyone who’s been frustrated with the need for precise alignment when mounting their phone. This 3-in-1 car phone holder is designed for ease and convenience.

The standout feature is its ability to work seamlessly with your MagSafe case. Your phone doesn’t need to be 100% aligned with the mount; you can simply place your phone on it, and it will automatically attach securely. This simplicity in action is a relief, making it a breeze to get your phone in place.

UGREEN’s car phone holder comes with options for mounting — it provides a suction cup for your dashboard or windscreen and an air vent hook. The “hook shape” design with “three grip points” ensures that it hooks firmly around the air vent without slipping or moving.

Overall, this UGREEN Magnetic Car Phone Mount is a secure, hassle-free, and adaptable solution for holding their phone in the car. It’s a brilliant companion for MagSafe case users, offering flexibility in where and how you mount your phone with the peace of mind that it will stay securely in place.

Usually with any review there is a pro and con… on this I can honestly say they have the product design and build quality spot on! I love that it took all of 30 seconds to setup and install, It holds the phone very securely, but not so secure that it makes it difficult to detach the phone, and I also like that I can easily orientate the screen without having to adjust the holder at all.
The other obvious bonus is that it has a “floating” effect which is really nice. It came with some metal rings that have an adhesive backing to stick to 2 devices, which I was a little unsure about adding to my phone at first, but they are all of a millimetre thick and have no impact on the phone. Besides if I was really worried about it I would attach the metal rings to phone case instead. Very impressive.
