Everything begins with a ski trip.
Vivian McKechnie which is the founder of VeraCosy, After a skiing trip in the Alps, she had ignited a desire for comfortable slippers. After the ski trip, she returned to her homestay with cold and stiff feet. As the old saying goes, “Health comes from the feet,” Vivian believes that warm feet are essential, so she rushed to get a pair of comfortable and warm slippers. Here the comfortable VeraCosy comes.
I have used this for nearly a week and I have no complaints with it. It’s cosy and warm which is what I was looking for. As these slippers go, it’s not bad looking either! Would recommend.
Bought oversized size 12 because of swollen feet. These are really comfy and although they are way too long he can slip his feet in without struggling. The rubber soles are none slip and he can venture outside in them.
Very comfortable and keep ankles toasty and look great in tan colour.
Worried were too tight but they stretch so all good after wearing a few times.
Nice firm and safe rubber soles can be worn to bring in the firewood no problem!!
This was one of two pairs brought for Christmas presents. One pair was very much liked but I have had not feedback on the other.
They are warm, comfortable and the outdoor sole is particularly good.
In fact, just what the recipient wanted for general use and also for taking bins or the like outside.
This is the 3rd pair of slippers from this company. The is time chose boot style for extra warmth. They are very well made, comfortable and warm with a strong sole. They last a long time. 100% recommend this brand.
These slippers are great for keeping your feet nice & warm, I bought them for my dad last year & replaced them again this year, they come to just above the ankle has a non slip hard sole and lined inside my dad said they are very comfy cozy & warm & with the non slip sole I don’t worry as much with him going up and down stairs (he’s 77) .
excellent for the price, super warm and comfy, i wear them outside all the time, they see use everyday and i find they last 3/4 months. But again thats with heavy use. seem true to size to me. well worth it 9/10
Ordered these as a gift, beware if you do the same, they came in a clear plastic bag. Apparently they are very warm and comfortable. Quite expensive for what they are though.
Comfy and warm but size 11 seem to be a little small for my size 11 feet. I lent them to my son and, doing his best Cinderella impression, found they fitted. Not a problem as it saved me sending back the size 11s and I purchased a size 12 which I am wearing now. I feel sure footed as they don’t slip about when walking and remain well positioned on my feet.
The plastic sole is flexible but grippy on carpet and tiled floor (wet or dry) and outside on paving stones (wet or dry)
Can’t comment on longevity yet but they have already and will continue to get a lot of use during the colder months (all day, every day). Probably not dog resistant!
These are so warm and squishy and comfy.
My feet are in relaxed heaven. I wear heavy boots all day at work and to come home and put these on is a real treat.
I normally buy a size 10 but due to reviews by others I ordered size 11 and crossed my fingers.
When they arrived they were perfect right out of the box, even my better half said they look good too.
I live in a small village here in the UK and would see no problem in wandering down to the village shop to buy a pint of milk wearing them so to speak, I luv em.
Good pair of slippers for the price. Keeps my feet nice and warm although they are a little on the larger side. The slippers are very light but good enough for what you pay.
Only just started wearing these so cannot yet comment on durability obviously. They are however warm and comfortable. Size wise, I followed the guidance and ordered a size larger than my normal shoe size,, as I wear socks. They seem to fit well as a result – relaxed but not loose.
They look as though they are well made and durable, but time will tell.
This is second pair I have bought for my very fussy husband, he loved his last pair so much!! Brilliant slippers, look good and he assures me they are really comfortable.
Comfortable slipper but can be a little tight due to padding so size up if youre a half size. Doesn’t look as nice as the photo and the ankle height is not as high as the picture may look, but is fine in general. Materials and build seem decent enough.
Bought these for my husband who suffers from cod feet and chilblains. They are robust and give support more than an ordinary slipper and are very comfortable. Also they can be worn outside( weather permitting) when you just can’t be bothered to change into outdoor shoes to go into the garden.
I’m gonna come out and say that I don’t normally wear slippers, as I have sweaty feet – We all know what that leads to.
I decided to buy a pair of slippers, because I noticed my toes were hurting and starting to develop sores – Turns out this was “Chillblains”. Yeah, it’s a thing. Toes get cold, veins don’t like it, then they warm back up too quickly.
Reviews for this mention to go one size up to what you normally wear. Amazon knows this, as when I was browsing, Amazon highlighted that most people on average buy one size up.
* When first slipping feet in, it’s pretty tight, but within a couple hours moulds well – I am pleased I bought one size up.
* Over time, the feeling is relatively loose, but still comfortable – Slippers should be worn around the house. Not round Tesco in your nightgown. Don’t go out and do things you would wear shoes for!
For someone like me with sweaty feet, even in very cold weather
* Of course your feet are gonna sweat.
* The fabric absorbs this and will end up with a pungent odour after a week. Do what I did and whack em in the washing machine, then go out and buy some de-odourise powder, etc. Remain sanitary and these will both last, but also not smell like someone’s back-yard swamp.
Don’t get them wet! (No, these are not multiplying and turning into Gremlins)
* I trod in a puddle when I threw some recycling out – Man that was unpleasant. Throw them immediately in the wash and use thick socks for the time-being.
Build quality:
* Decent
* Material feels comfortable, is uniform and is well sewn.
* The padding under the feet is comfortable. I can’t feel the super hard floor. Of course over time this will degrade, but that happens to everything.
So yes, it’s been a rollercoaster – But I would recommend.
