Just what I was looking for, waterproof trousers but with a slightly more robust fabric and warm as well. The plus is that they are still very light and also very comfortable to wear.

These are very excellent trousers so much so that I have bought a second pair as a spare and a pair for my wife. Having bought other so called lined and waterproof trousers and been dissatisfied having to continue to wear thermals underneath I was wary of trying these however I am very glad that I did. I have been wearing them now for 6 weeks whenever the temperature dropped to zero or there was a wind chill factor they are perfect and no thermals are necessary underneath. The coldest I have worn them is minus 10C add the wind chill and snow they did the job, the snow doesn’t cling and where they have become wet at the ankle they have dried rapidly. I cannot praise these trousers high enough and I certainly recommend them.

I recently paid about 100 for a pair of similar trousers, from a leading fashion website, for my wife. I decided to look around for something similar for me and found these at a fraction of the cost.
After researching varying pairs of waterproof trousers online these came out on top judging by the many reviews I read.
They are really warm and feel well made. They look good too and for a fraction of the price I shelled out at Christmas.
I bought two pairs in different colours. They are good for walking and wearing in cold weather. I will be wearing them at the match during the rest of the winter as well. Not sure if they could be too warm during the post match pint though.
I would have no hesitation to take these somewhere like Austria on a skiing holiday as well.

Good fit – according to the size. The raise is not too high (as for most of trousers). Good choice of sizes and lengths as well. Pants are warm and nice to wear.

Bought these for my hubby. He has a few pairs now and he wears them for either working outdoors and when he plays golf in the cold weather right now. He loves them as they keep him all snug and dry.

These outdoor trousers are a game-changer! They’re not only warm and of excellent quality, but the waterproof feature makes them a perfect match for the unpredictable UK weather. The value for money is impressive, serving as both a cold weather staple and a reliable defense against rain. A must-have for staying warm, dry, and saving on heating bills during those chilly days!

5.0 out of 5 stars GAME CHANGER 😀

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersGreat value. Very well made. Great to have waist adjusters. Very warm and cut out the wind. Haven’t tried them in a downpour but in a shower the water flows off. Reasonably light weight.

Golden Review Award: 19 From Our UsersI am modifying my original review after wearing the trousers 4 or 5 times. I’m a short stocky man and ordered 2 pairs of 36″waist, 30″ inside leg which is closest to my normal 29″ leg size. I found the legs to be very long and had 1.5″ professionally removed from each pair. 2″ might have been even better.

The trousers are thick fabric, excellent quality and really well made and would cost a lot more money from a famous name manufacturer. They are immediately comfortable, warm, windproof and water resistant, however the only downside is that they are not very breathable at all and can quickly become and stay clammy inside if you work up a sweat, hiking up a mountain for example (which I did in snowy conditions). I have found that clamminess can be an issue with soft shell fabric in general, particularly when it features a waterproof membrane.

I recently wore them for an overnight mountain wild camping trip in around -7C to -9C conditions (where I also wore down trousers on top when stationary) and have now worn them several times cycling and dog walking in cold and damp UK weather around 0 to 6C.

After any high intensity excercise they
get clammy inside and stay clammy inside for a long time. The problem with this is, once you cool down, as water conducts heat up to 50x faster than dry air/ dry fabric, your legs can start to feel slightly chilly and uncomfortable, as the inside pile lining of the trousers doesn’t appear to wick away the dampness very well. This is ok after a round of golf, short walk, short bike ride etc, when you can go inside, change and get warm and dry again, but was uncomfortable on my overnight wild camp where I was spending a long time outside. On this basis, I would not recommend these for long day hikes and in particular not for multi-day trips in the wilds, where the retained internal dampness could start to continually chill you and potentially become a significant issue.

I still do recommended these if you are prepared to get them shortened, and acknowledge the functional limitations, but in my opinion they are best reserved for below 10 degrees C, relatively low intensity and/or relatively short duration outdoor activities, where you can come inside and change out of them afterwards.
