My wife and I upgraded to the iPhone 15 from the 12’s which had the newer USB-C port rather than lightning. However, I had already invested in a good few premium lightning cables over the years, which suddenly became unusable. Hence I got this small adaptor to bring those cables back into use again. The adaptor has a small, good-quality nylon braided cable, to one end is the lightning port and to the other is a USB-C connector. It came in a small plastic packet and works extremely well.
Previously the Lightning cables we had were only used for charging iPads and phones, but now, thanks to the adaptor, we can also use the cables to charge other accessories that use the USB-C port such as headphones, LED camera lights and power banks. The cable can charge my phone relatively quickly and can also be used as a data transfer cable which is useful.
If like myself you have old lightning cables lying around, these adaptors can give them a new lease of life.
Purchased to attached new IPhone15 to a Bose speaker, works well, but have to lay the phone next to speaker rather the having it sit vertically on the docking area.
