Better Battery

For serious dependability, the Swift 3 gives you up to 12.5 hours of use after a full charge, and 4 hours of use after just 30 minutes of charging. What’s more? A switched-off Swift 3 can charge an external device via its USB Type-A.

Convenient Connectivity

Get things done with the full-function USB3.2 Gen 2 Type-C for fast data transfers, your display needs, and USB charging. And with dual-band Wi-Fi 6, expect greater speeds and better connectivity.

I wanted a low power lightweight laptop with a great screen, decent performance able to play not too demanding games. The Swift Go 14 with stunning OLED display is a superb value option… Saved hundreds over anything equivalent from HP or Lenovo…

My old desk top computer was very slow , this one is exactly what I wanted, as with all new computers it has taken a little time to get it set up to my liking
I would not change it for any other computer.

Considering there is no dedicated GPU, this APU can run a lot of games at lowest settings. Screen is amazing. Storage is quite small but easy to upgrade to 2Tb.

Lovely laptop by Acer. Very quick to start, easy to set up and nice big SSD storage. Battery only lasts about 10 hours, but quick to recharge! Very pleased with it! JD

So far it’s amazing (7840u version). The only thing I kind of don’t like is that the air vent points to the oled screen and it gets hot (only if you are running intense cpu processing a long time, like gaming, with normal use the fan barely turns on. Also notice that if the computer is docked and the lid is closed you will not have this problem. Also I’ve read in forums that I shouldn’t be worried, but I don’t like)

Really pleased with this laptop, bought to replace an old Asus laptop. This new Acer is fast, has a great screen (I’m a photographer so screen quality is important to me) and the keyboard feels like a much more quality item than the Asus keyboard. Had it for a month now and haven’t found anything I don’t like about it….

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersI’ve been working in the technology field for many years, and any laptop around 600 is going to have some compromises. We got two for our daughters, who needed something reasonable for school.

We opted for the base model 8Gb Ryzen 5 with internal graphics, plenty of oomph for the money and its intended use – the lower power requirement means the battery has 11 hours of charge, and so far, they are coming home with a few hours left in it every day. This is not a games machine; it could run older titles (c2015) well enough; it is suited more to Office, Adobe Creative Cloud, and general browsing.

Where this laptop stands out is the genuine premium feel of it without sacrificing too much. It is slim and light with a rigid all-aluminium case – this is very unusual at this price. It has dual fans which will keep it cool. The keys are backlit, and the screen is a high-quality OLED at 16:10 aspect with excellent contrast and colours. It looks premium and has the build quality to match.

Opening the laptop creates a slight tilt to the keyboard deck which is excellent for comfort. The trackpad is good, a little small, but they did squeeze a big keyboard onto the deck with a fingerprint sensor on the power button. I would say the keyboard is not something that would enable high-speed touch typing, as it has a shallow travel (I use a mechanical keyboard at home) but the keyboard is one of the biggest for a 14” laptop, and I managed 60 words a minute.

The speakers are not bad, but this is a laptop, not a sound system; there is a headphone jack. There are plenty of connections, including two fast USB-Cs (screen and charging), HDMI, and USB-B. It comes with 11g wifi (wifi 6), absolutely trouble-free and fast, and my daughter’s Bluetooth headphones worked without any fuss.

Previously, they had a Lenovo (bits fell off after two years, and the keyboard broke) and an MSI Modern 14, which managed to brick itself – again, just two years old. I know Acer laptops well, and this one is based on the admired Swift chassis as an evolution, not a revolution.

Acer laptops tend to last well; getting five years of daily use out of one is a given, and this model improves on the older Swift models, which was an excellent laptop. The Swift Go is getting excellent reviews in the press, and for the money, you would be hard-pushed to beat it at the moment (Nov 23).

This is a superb, fast windows laptop that lives up to most of the good things stated in the Amazon ad. The OLED display is magnificent in its depth of colours and deep black. It is also helps greatly to have a 16:10 ratio screen rather than the usual 16:9 which is the main reason that I opted for this laptop. I am also very pleased with the lightning fast speed afforded by the Core i7 chip and 16Gb RAM. I have marked it down to 4 stars though because I have found the battery life to be nowhere near the claimed 9.5 hours. It’s more like 6.5 hours but I suppose if I turned down the display brightness and turned off the backlit keyboard I could do better. Another odd point is that the excellent full HD camera is not compatible with Windows Hello facial recognition. I’m hoping that that problem will be addressed by a future software update.
After writing the above I decided to check the battery life. The laptop achieved 4 hours 45 minutes from 100% to the first “battery low” warning at 10% in a series of 9 operating times of =/- 30 minutes of which less than an hour was streaming.. Exactly half the claimed 9.5 hours which is pretty disgraceful.

Bought this for my daughter for school. She loves it – 14″ means that she can carry it in everyday to get work done during study (frees). Nice, bright screen. I like the bevelled keyboard – typing feels nice. Battery lasts well throughout the 6hr school day so no complaints so far. All in all a good machine.

Golden Review Award: 4 From Our UsersThis machine is just amazing I got it for 649 bucks under a deal. The laptop feels premium to touch and is very light weight. I was looking for zenbook s13 and Microsoft laptop go 2 as alternative but I think I have made the best choice.

    Pros :
    1. Win 11 feels very fast and snappy even in best power efficiency mode
    2. The screen is fantastic for the price, mat finish screen crisp and clear
    3. The touch id power button is just so fast
    4. No fan noise under normal condition
    5. Battery backup looks perfect for now

    Cons:
Really cannot find one till now

A must buy product for budget users!!!

Golden Review Award: 7 From Our UsersJust switch from a Asus Vivobook OLED K3502ZA.
For me, this is much more impressive.
    Pros are:
    It is very lightweight.
It performs super fast at tasks.
    Decent screen.
Mouse pad is the best I’ve ever used.
    Can handle multiple tabs open.
Charges relatively fast, from 0 – 100 in about 80 minutes.
Battery life is great, you could easily get 8 hours on this depending on how much you have running.
Perfect laptop for commuters or someone who travels alot as light and battery lasts.
    Runs games reasonably well.
Handles 4k as you can see from video.
Has a fingerprint sensor that works as well as any phones fingerprint sensor does.
    Screen resolution is good.
    Light up keyboard.
    Keyboard is brilliant quality.
Can also connect your android phone, so you can make calls and texts.

    Cons are:
Battery is a pin, which after the Vivo is a disappointment as that was a USB C.
Speakers are meh. Not awful but not great.
Space isn’t as big as the advert suggests.
Comes with windows 10. You get offered upgrade to Windows 11 immediately, but should already be on in my opinion.
Not a huge amount of ports.

Overall a fantastic laptop with no big limitations, just some slight changes to take it to the perfect level. I’m really impressed and hope it stays at this performance level.
Hopefully this review is useful and you make a sensible choice and pick this over any others in the price range.
