Really study and has multiple USB and other sockets so you only need one for all your chargers etc Worked perfectly in India where other people’s on the trip blew up
Obviously cost more than your usual adapter. This isn’t your usual one, does everything, I was charging 4 things at a time, loved it.
Great quality, strong and solid, in the end I used this for everything.
I recently had the pleasure of using the UK to India travel adapter and my experience was a good one. The adapter is crafted from solid plastic, ensuring durability and longevity, making it a robust companion for all your travel requirements. The precision of the design is evident in the solid pins which fit seamlessly into Indian power sockets. This attention to detail sets it apart from universal adapters I’ve used in the past, as it provides a secure connection, eliminating the risk of accidental disconnections.
A nice feature of this product is the convenient carry pouch that accompanies it. This thoughtful addition not only safeguards the adapter, but also makes it portable and hassle-free to carry around. Whether you’re on the go or packing for a trip, this compact and lightweight pouch ensures your adapter is always within reach and protected from potential damage.
Moreover, considering the quality and utility of this product, it is very reasonably priced. It provides excellent value for money, striking the perfect balance between affordability and premium quality. I wholeheartedly recommend the UK to India travel adapter for anyone in need of a reliable, sturdy and cost-effective solution for their power needs whilst travelling.
This was delivered today and seems fine but Amazon prime delivery was as bad as ever. There is a handy little bag that came with it and for the price it looks good and I can’t wait to use it when I go to India soon but I will be taking my old one just in case but I can’t see that this great product won’t work, overall I am very happy with my purchase jus a shame about the delivery
This was a blessing in disguise for my recent trip to India. Whilst I carried multiple travel adapters with me, this the only one I actually ended using. The built-in USB-C and USB-A ports, while they charge at regular speeds, negate need to plug in a charger and keeps the plug free for something like a laptop.
My only wish would be that I wished the plug prongs folded for easier portability.
Ordered to lend to my 72 year old dad who is currently away following the barmy army in India. Initial reports are that it’s working as it should and he likes the in built usb ports as most of what he needs is the ability to charge his kindle/phone/other tech, rather than something with an attached uk plug. The build quality when I inspected it seemed good, and a plug went in and out of the socket without any issues, but as with any item like this, time and repeated use will be the real tell. Overall, though, he’s currently happy, so I’m happy with the product.
Having recently dealt with the struggle of finding a suitable travel adaptor for the 3 round pin plugs (type D) in India, I managed to obtain this and its perfect.
Unlike most so-called “universal” travel adaptors, this one is specifically designed with India’s unique plug configuration in mind. The common issue with universal adaptors offering only 2 round pins found in Europe falls short in India. It leads to connection problems and means sacrificing the safety provided by the ground pin.
This travel adaptor is reasonably priced and the quality is impressive. Featuring a 3 pin socket upfront tailored for a UK plug, it goes the extra mile by offering additional sockets on each side for connecting both 2 pin EU (type C/E/F) and US (type A/B) plugs. The inclusion of 2 USB A ports and a USB C port is a nice touch, although it’s worth noting that the USB ports don’t support fast charging.
In summary, this travel adaptor has proven to be a reliable solution for navigating India’s unique plug landscape. It’s a solid investment, delivering convenience, versatility, and quality at a reasonable price point.
We are currently travelling in India and this plug adapter is a must-have accessory on this trip. We have a universal adapter with us too but that does not work properly (the fit usually isn’t ideal and they tend to hang out of the socket). We also have some individual socket adapters which work fine but the problem is that with limited power sockets, people are waiting for their turn to charge their mobile phone, headphones, laptop which is inconvenient especially when we want to get out of the house early to make the most of the short winter days.
This adapter address all of the above. It fits perfectly into the India plugs we have used (clearly, as it has 3 pins, it will only fit into a 3 pin socket rather than the more common 2 pin ones). There is a neat tiny (so doesn’t disturb sleep) blue led indicator light for when it is getting power ( irritatingly most indian sockets don’t have the red indicator on the switch).
Multiple sockets allow for multiple devices to be charged at the same time, as the photos show.
This is a well-built item that it feels like one can trust to be safe and give a lot of use. Well worth packing on your next trip to India. And in between trips there is a neat cloth bag for storage!

The adapter is well priced, and I would happily pay the asking price.
Overall, this is excellent.
It does the job perfectly, and is a good price.
Four stars : .
I hope you enjoyed our time together .
Thank you for reading my review .
This travel adaptor is perfect for my upcoming trip and comes with a handy little travel pouch for safekeeping. It comes with two USB A and one USB C ports as well as 2 side ports for 2 pin plugs. It also has 20W charging capability.
It states there is built-in smart technology, which can auto-detect charged devices and deliver optimum charging speed. One thing to note is that it does not convert voltage so do check any appliances used with this adaptor such as hairdryers, irons etc.
Priced at 13.59 at time of review, it’s currently discounted so worth it for this price.
This is the second travel adapter I’ve tested with USB ports. I’ll cover the pros and cons of the different parts separately.
SPECIFICATION
The back of the plug states 13A, but it’s actually for plugging into a Type D socket which is only rated at 5A/6A depending on the country (it’s the same standard as the 5A round-pin sockets previously used in the UK).
The advert states the USB portion supports 32 watts in total, which would be 6.4A at 5 volts. However it goes on to state that the maximum is 3.4A at 5 volts, which is only 17 watts. In practice it tops out at 23 watts, but I expect it may throttle this back if it gets too hot.
13A SOCKET OUTLET
This makes good contact but is let down by the shutter. As can be seen in the photo, the angle of the section that is pressed by the earth pin is poor, making it difficult to insert a plug and pieces get scraped off the shutter mechanism as you do so. As the plug is used repeatedly I expect it will wear down and start operating more smoothly.
2-PIN SOCKET OUTLETS
These are equipped with safety shutters and have a very firm grip on US or European 2-pin plugs. If using a shaver plug, choose a side – left or right – and stick with it, as it will weaken the grip on European plugs (although it still grips them fairly well even after a shaver plug’s been in there).
USB PORTS
All three ports use special chips which advertise the available power capabilities of the port. These chips will automatically negotiate using the different protocols used by Apple, Samsung and other devices, so for example an iPad which would normally be limited to 1A on a non-Apple charger will happily charge at its full rate on the Aodeng charger.
INTERNALLY
Inside it appears to be a very safe design, with plenty of separation between the high and low voltage portions of the USB charger.
OVERALL
Surprisingly good, let down only by that shutter mechanism and the incorrect power ratings in the advert.
I took a similar plug with the family earlier in the year and this type of plug proves so useful. As well as a standard UK plug option, it also has 2 USB ports and one USB-C port so you can charge up to 4 devices at one time. You can also charge your electric toothbrushes at the same time as it has 2 AC sockets as well.
The NEGATIVE is that plugging in a UK plug, the socket requires a bit of force and even greater force to remove it. The 2 side AC ports require quite a bit of force to push a plug in which may be a issue for elderly people or those with weak wrists/arthritis . Having said that, the plug is brand new and not been used yet, I guess with time, the sockets will loosen and it will be easier to plug in and out.
Overall it’s a useful option as you have to carry less plugs and can be used in many countries Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Benin, Botswana, Cameroon, Chad, Dominica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Ethiopia, Ghana, Greece, India, Iraq, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Libya, Macao, Maldives, Monaco, Myanmar (Burma), Namibia, Nepal, Niger, Nigeria, Pakistan, Qatar, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tanzania, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe. and more.
The AODENG UK to India Plug Adapter adapts a single UK type G plug, to India’s type D plug sockets, and is rated to handle 3.25KW. It includes 3 USB ports on the front (1 USB-C port and 2 USB-A ports), and a couple of AC universal shaver sockets, one on each side.
It has rapid charging capability from the USB ports w2hich deliver a total output of [email protected], and with smart technology onboard, it automatically senses the devices to optimise charging speeds. Travel versatility means that the adapter will work in several countries, including India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Nigeria and Ghana. It’s a very compact adapter that is well made yet lightweight, and the design means it won’t take up much room when packed into luggage. It also features a fire-retardant shell made from high-quality plastic, robust enough to withstand high temperatures, eliminating fire risks.
To test the adapter I had to first plug it into a type D to type G adapter, then plug it into the mains socket, then plug a UK plug into the adapter, before adding USB cables to charge my devices, including charging my electric toothbrush which I’d connected to one of the shaver sockets. Thankfully this add-on dongle approach worked out just fine, and the adapter charged and powered everything as it should without getting hot.
I really liked that the AODENG UK to India Plug Adapter is well made, has handy USB-C and USB-A charging ports on the front, and shaver sockets on each the side, making it a very versatile choice when travelling abroad, although a double UK socket would be even handier.
