The screen is ideal if you move around from place to place. Provides that second screen you always miss when on the move and easily fits into majority of the large laptop cases.
When at home becomes my 4th screen.
One recommendation I would give when travelling place it an protective case
I bought this during the Prime Day, as I needed a second screen for my work laptop so I bought this for a bargain. Very well packed. It wad easy to set up using the USB-C set-up. It loaded immediately and I could use it immediately. I thought I would have a problem due to using a work laptop and security, but it was accessible. Screen is bigger than expected as well, and compliments my laptop. As my flat is small, the second screen is useful when working from home, and doesn’t take alot of room. The plastic stand I would say is a little flimsy, and I would be worried about breaking it. It would need a protective case if carried remotely, but love how it is slim enough to be able to do that. Way better than expected on the ease of setting up.
When I’m at home, i usually work off my laptop connected to three 24″ screens. But when I travel and have to work, I just work of my laptop and I carry a lot of resentment! Sometimes I used to lug one or two of my monitors if travelling intra country but when going further afield, this wasn’t viable. With this product, it’s so simple, it’s just like a 16″ tablet, so slim, great in built stand and just connects to the laptop via a usb c and you’re done, a second screen. I’ve just used it at home so far but can’t wait to take it abroad with me, it will help me a lot!
I don’t often leave reviews but I am so impressed both with the construction quality and display, I bought this monitor to use with a Bmax B1 Pro and for another SFF Pc, works great on both I have also used it with DEX on my phone powered by a power bank (see photo) making it truly versatile and a highly portable bit of kit, With great colours, brightness and definition plus all the connecting cable and a solid build quality what’s not to like
Been wanting to get a portable screen for a while now and found the perfect one for me. Reasonably priced and good quality, therefore great value for money and a happy customer. Use it as a second screen for my laptop and phone sometimes. Great purchase.
Picked this up for 75 in the sale. For that price, it’s a great product. Comes with all the cables you need. Apparently connects to some smartphones, won’t to my Pixel fold.
It’s light, quality is really good for general use. Kick stand is built in and pretty sturdy.
I love having a 2nd monitor that doesn’t take up a lot of space and that can be taken anywhere. The screen is great quality and there is no glare at all! It arrived quickly and was a brilliant price. Very pleased with my purchase.
I can’t say anything wrong about screen portability and that is quite nice sharp display, but it broke easily in the laptop bag on the way back from work. I mean it was in separate pocket and it cracked!! Low price but I would rather buy something more expensive with good LED screen
UPDATE!
Seller approach me to offer screen with protection. Item arrived and I’m happy with i
I recently purchased the ARZOPA 15.6″ 19201080 FHD IPS Portable Monitor, and it has exceeded all my expectations! Here are some of the standout features and benefits that make this monitor a game-changer:
1. Stunning Display Quality: The 19201080 FHD resolution delivers crystal-clear visuals with vibrant colors and sharp details. The IPS panel ensures wide viewing angles, making it perfect for both work and entertainment.
2. Built-In Kickstand: The integrated kickstand is a brilliant addition. It allows for easy adjustment to multiple angles, providing a comfortable viewing experience whether you’re working at a desk or on the go.
3. Lightweight and Portable: Weighing just 1.6 pounds and only 0.36 inches thick, this monitor is incredibly easy to carry around. It’s perfect for travel, fitting seamlessly into my laptop bag without adding bulk.
4. Versatile Connectivity: With dual USB-C ports and a mini HDMI port, this monitor is compatible with a wide range of devices, including laptops, smartphones, gaming consoles, and more. The plug-and-play functionality means no drivers or apps are needed — just connect and go!
5. Multiple Display Modes: The ARZOPA monitor offers three display modes — duplicate, extend, and second screen — making multitasking a breeze. Whether I’m extending my laptop screen for increased productivity or mirroring it for presentations, this monitor handles it all effortlessly.
6. Eye Care Technology: The anti-glare screen and blue light filter significantly reduce eye strain, even during long hours of use. This feature is a lifesaver for someone like me who spends a lot of time in front of screens.
Overall, the ARZOPA Portable Monitor is a fantastic investment for anyone looking to enhance their productivity and entertainment experience on the go. Highly recommended!
Can’t comment on longevity as I’ve only used it for a couple of days, but it seems good so far.
Agree with other reviewers it’s annoying that the screen brightness resets itself to being quite dim everytime you turn the monitor off, but I can live with that for this price.
Couldn’t get it to connect to my Windows laptop using the USB-C to USB-A cable provided, but the USB-C to USB-C one works fine
For the discount price of 110 this is exactly what I needed for a small secondary monitor for work. The screen is decent and with the high ish refresh rate plays games well hooked up to my PC. Also works well with my iPad.
– Decent picture
– Great form factor
– Good connectivity over USB C for both power and image
– Controls are a wee bit fiddly but that’s to be expected
– Sound quality is so-so, OK for the price and form factor but you won’t be listening to Hans Zimmer
soundtracks on it.
Overall very pleased with the purchase: 8.5/10
This is just what I wanted. I didn’t want a bulky 2nd screen I wanted something sleek and easy to put away when not using it. I think it will be easy to carry away with me as it’s so light. Better than what I was expecting for the price!
I needed the ability to find jpg files, edit them and then properly store them on my laptop. This product gives me the viewing space I need to do all operations seamlessly. I’ve taken it on trips and it stores for carrying snugly next to my laptop. Best with landscape and not portrait modes. Sound quality not great, but that is not why I bought it. Brightness cannot be adjusted. These are minor issues for a great product.
V portable plugs straight in and cables come with it.
You don’t need a power supply
Easily carry in your brief case.
Now you can use double screens wherever you go!
I was skeptical, however so impressed with the functionality of this screen, very happy with using this as a secondary screen, in fact it is better than the screen on my laptop!
Brilliant, if you go on and extend your screen in your settings it allows you to work on 2 different pages which is super efficient. Made my working day so much easie
Bought as a 2nd screen when working from home, I don’t have the storage or space for a full sized monitor. This is a great sized portable screen, slimline, easy to set up and does the job perfectly. Would highly recommend.
This is an amazing quality product at a awesome price. It comes in a very premium feeling box that can double as a carry case. It had a HDMI mini to HDMI cable, and a USB c to USB c cable included.
It worked perfectly as described with my laptops thunderbolt port. Whilst it weighs very little it feels study and robust.
I got the 16 1 with 50% off. Love the screen brightness. And how slim and compact it is. Just connects straight to my laptop. Comes with 3 cables, USB c to c, USB to USB c and hdmi to USB c (I think!)
Less one star because I’d have really liked it to come with a protective sleeve to reuse. I’ll see if I can buy one separately.
Order the Arzopa portable screen to use as second monitor, delivery arrived promptly today and within a few minutes of opening and plugging in, it was ready to use. Setup very straightforward and easy. Great monitor for a busy price
Screen is fairly crisp, although does seem a little grey-ish. Good viewing angles! Very useful for small spaces. I do wish the stand was on both sides and also be aware the cables are very short so might need to order some longer ones and also cables poke out quite a bit so if you’re picky you might need a U adapter.
The picture quality is good, the brightness is reasonable, the build quality seems fine, and the monitor is pretty slim.
The negatives are:
The stand isn’t great; getting it to stay put is finicky, and you don’t have much choice in angle if you want it to stay stood up.
The controls are a bit fiddly, though you probably won’t need to mess with them more than once.
The placement and choice of ports is a little inconvenient. The controls are on one side, the ports on the other, and the cables stick out. I got some 180 degree adapters for both the power and display, but this still adds width and a little bulk, and was a let down as I bought this for a ‘briefcase computer’ build, where the required extra space on either side of the monitor, and behind it, reduces the quality of the entire build.
Update 14/10/23
Because the USB-C cable was to small, I bought a 2mtr one with a right angle connector and it works a treat.
Initial review of thee
ARZOPA Portable Monitor A1 GAMUT SLIM 14
Dated “12/10/23” Price “78.99 When Bought”
The box it comes in is good and tightly packed as there`s little chance of the monitor moving about.
I wanted this 14″ monitor to be a second monitor just so I didn’t have to keep ALT Tabbing in and out of games just to see if OBS was recording or someone sent a message via discord etc. Yes I could have bought say a 24″ basic monitor for the same price but I don’t have the room, so this does the job well.
I plugged it in via USB-C and it came on straight away and with a few setting changes in window we were off to the races.
The monitors colours are a bit off, so either you calibrate it or do what I did and put it in HDR mode and it made one hell of a difference.
The monitor comes with a stand and 2 cables “USB-C & HDMI”.
The controls on the side take a bit of time to get used to but you will get used to them fast.
There are just a few suggestions I would recommend.
Make the cable another 25-50cms longer.
Add a soft case so you can carry it about.
Maybe also a small bracket to put it to a wall if you wanted too.
All in all, I think it’s worth the price I paid for it and at the moment I would recommend it.
I very rarely write reviews, but this is an absolute game changer and everyone should know about it!
Due to a family member being unwell recently, I’ve been working away from home, basing myself in different relatives’ spare rooms. This means I’ve been away from my usual set up and had been struggling to work on just my laptop. This week I got fed up after trying and failing to flick back and forth between spreadsheets and other programmes and decided I needed a second screen that I could move between spaces with. Found this and ordered, figuring anything would be better than nothing.
Despite low expectations, this has blown me away. It was literally plug and play, the pass through charging means no excess cables (usb c power to screen, usb c connector from screen to laptop), and the screen itself is bright, clear and a fantastic size. My productivity has shot up, my frustration levels have dropped enormously, and it’s a dream to just pack up and move as needed.
Anyone who travels for work and is in need of a second screen whilst on the move would do well to get one of these. Absolutely brilliant bit of kit.
Having a second monitor makes my Chromebook (the monitor works with Mac, iPad and PC also) amazingly productive. The fact that I can do this “on the move” is a real game changer.
The monitor can with a variety of cables (USB C to USB C, HDMI to mnii-HDMI and USB A to USB C). It also ships with a power supply. Everything you need is in the box. If you use the monitor using the USB C cable, then you do NOT need a separate power supply. The monitor will drain your battery more quickly but not needing a separate power supply is a boon.
This monitor comes with a cover that also serves as a stand. It is not “rock solid” but it is more than appropriate. The cover keeps the screen safe from scratches when I carry the monitor in my day bag. By folding the cover I can use it as a stand. The stand works better in landscape mode. You can also stand the monitor in portrait but it is not as “slick”.
I do not use the monitor for gaming so I cannot comment on how effective the monitor is for gaming.
This monitor has exceeded my expectations in almost every way. The monitor has speakers. They are not great but I did not buy the monitor for the audio. Personally if I am working out of the office I use a headset so the audio is not an issue for me.
I now regularly use this monitor at home as an additional screen. If you need a second (additional) monitor.. Buy it.
I’m very happy with this monitor. I found it more than bright enough, and crisp, with suprsingly good colours. It was instantly recognised by my office Mac, so no hassle at all to set up.
I’m delighted by the additional desktop space, and as musician, writer and graphic designer, who often has to have a lot of applications and windows open, and finds a 27 inch iMac is just too damn small, this is going to be so useful.
I don’t use the speakers as I have professional monitors as part of my set up, but I tried them and if I was out and about and using the screen for Zoom or to watch a movie, they would be good enough, and of course there is a headphone socket – which I confess I haven’t tried yet.
The controls took a moment to work out, but they are pretty simple to use over all, and I haven’t had to change anything anyway, except turn the brightness down a bit, as I tend to keep my Mac’s screen quite dark to avoid glare, and this monitor was very bright in comparison when it arrived.
I’m tempted to buy another one, for the Mac in my recording studio control room.
I purchased the monitor early Feb 2023 and have been using it for gaming and work purposes. It is very easy to use and you can change the scale size (max of 175%) and display resolution (max of 1920 x 1080) to whatever is best suited. You can also change the brightness and other settings from the button that the monitor has on the side. It also comes with a set of cables that you can use to connect your monitor to your device in multiple ways.
The manual states that for laptops it can be connected in a few ways such as:
1) Using a Type-C to Type-C
2) Using the HMDI to mini HDMI + USB-A to Type-C (the only way I found I could successfully connect my laptop)
About a month ago I have accidentally damaged the HMDI port on the monitor and could no longer use it as it would not connect any other way without the HDMI cable. It was past amazon’s return policy so I have contacted the company and explained the situation to try and see if the can fix it for me.
Within a week I got a reply and they have kindly agreed for a replacement to be sent out to me as soon as I returned the damaged monitor. The whole process took overall less than 2 weeks for me to get my new monitor and I was able to use it again. Very pleased with the product and the customer service from the company.
The Good.
1. Working HDR (Tested using a PS5; detected HDR support and ran through calibration)
2. 144Hz @ 1080p, Crisp lag-free display (tested using PS5 God Of War Ragnarok, zero complaints worked very well even in intense combat, no noticeable display lag)
3. LOW energy (essential if you want to use this with the laptop or external battery for any given amount of time, estimate < ~10W on average). 4. USB-C PD passthrough! I'm not sure of the amount of power passthrough this unit is capable however in testing you can run power -> display -> Laptop as an example (assuming your laptop can take USB-C PD).
The bad:
1. Button placement prevents using this display in anything other than landscape orientation without a separate stand. You _CAN_ use the “smart cover” to position this in the portrait orientation however the placement of the buttons causes the display to continually power cycle.
2. Speakers lack definition, the audio output is good don’t get me wrong, however it’s not going to be dolby HD quality as an example, they serve the purpose however there’s room for improvement.
The information to be aware of:
1. Google pixel phones (and many others) do not support USB-C video, this is not a fault of the product! – if you want to use this purely with a mobile phone, please do you research ahead of time! For me this is a minor annoyance as this is not the main use case for myself, though I know may be for some.
The use-case background.
I’ve been looking at energy efficiency for some time, prior to and especially now given the rise in energy costs in the UK, I’m using low power consuming high energy efficiency wherever possible as a result, and alternative energy products such as solar PV, and portable LiFePo4 packs, for a Living I work from a laptop for many hours a day, using a single display can impact your productivity, and it’s not always possible to have that secondary display when you most need it. I am hoping this portable display will change this for me, and will be putting it to the test in my next international trip.
Separately this is a low energy use display, and works very well for gaming in my limited testing; when playing on the PS5 GOW Ragnarok for example, combat did not suffer any apparent latency.
I plan to update this review post my next international travel, in closing a very capable product and I am looking forward to continued use of this.
I got this to replace a raspberry pi display i had that bricked itself after a week and so far i’m impressed!
The size and resolution is more than adequate for my needs, i use it for my aida 64 sensor panel along with my water temps in my pc. The display itself is sharp and clear and colours are great you might need to fiddle with the settings a bit but mine looked good out the box! Obviously has plenty of other uses i have tried youtube etc on it and it’s very good i also plan on trying the switch to see how that is on it.
Usb-c didn’t work i have no clue why as my pc has thunderbolt but i couldn’t get it to work however the usb a to usb c cable along with the hdmi to hdmi mini cable work just fine so not really an issue for me as it won’t move from where it is. I would have gotten another proper monitor but i don’t have the space so this was a great option.
Response times seem fine the only issue i have with my unit is a very small dead pixel thankfully barely noticable unless you go looking for it, this is just something you deal with when it comes to lcd screens.
The size, build quality, picture quality etc is all great for the price i got it for! I got it a bit cheaper during a lightning deal.
Brightness isn’t crazy high but more than adequete and not something to be put off by it’s a nice clear 1080p 60hz screen that worked right away and looks great beside my pc.
Last thing is it’s not heavy i can’t speak much for the stand certainly not amazing but works if you need it however mine is just resting against my pc.
Regardless of reason for wanting one of these it’s worth the price and hopefully will stand the test of time.
Highly recommend
To be honest I’m rather stoked about this wee monitor, 1080 native resolution, 60hz, IPS and speakers ALL powered by a usb connection? Hot damn!
I got it primarily for my raspberry pi 4 and it works very well with it! With the pi being powered by a mains plug all the monitor needs is the usb for power and the hdmi for video and sound both from the pi and it works like a charm! As I have been making a battery powered portable setup I needed to use one battery bank for the monitor and one for the pi, but this works! And it’s blooming awesome! Lol
Picture quality is spot on for 1080 resolution brightness is fine too and adjustable from the monitors osd
Now for the niggles..
When connecting the monitor to a docked switch console, it works fine at first but if you let or put the switch to sleep it will loose the video connection and won’t fire back up when you wake the switch, but if you connect the switch directly to the monitor ( no dock ) it displays fine, so a silly little quirk there
And so far the only fix is to use my pi to display to the hdmi then go back to the switch when docked. Not a fault on the monitors part as I suspect it’s something to do with the switches docks firmware when passing the video signal throught the dock to an outside display.
There is a little touch of ghosting when playing games but it’s rather slight and dosent take away from the experience.
When it comes to using this monitor with my pi the monitor is simply awesome!
Great crisp picture, full 1080, and only needs 2 cables to function, had a great picture for watching movies , surfing the web etc
All in all a rather surprising wee monitor and considering speakers are built in it’s even handier! Ok sure the speakers ain’t too loud and don’t have a lot of body of bass to them but they do the job none the less!
Very chuffed with this monitor as it rounds of my portable battery powered setup very nicely indeed
