I bought this to replace an ESR branded one as the ESR one wouldn’t allow my car to start (see attached video).
The Auckly one comes with a better clip to attach the holder to the vent, a higher quality charging cable, stronger magnets, a silicone piece to route the charging cable neatly and a included magsafe sticker to attach to your existing case.
So far I’m overall very impressed with the quality and would definitely recommend this.
The only thing is I wish this didn’t have the blue led light as it doesn’t switch off when I turn the ignition off, but that’s becausemy Audi doesn’t power down the cigarette lighter port and not a problem with the Auckly charger.
This fitted straight onto the central air vent of my 2019 Hyundai Tucson. The clip actually holds the vent completely still (I put it on the passenger side vent), so it is perfectly stable. The magnetic attachment is secure enough that my phone has never fallen off, but is also easy to attach and to rotate while it is attached. It provides fast wireless charging, but it would be easy to plug the cable directly into my phone if I wanted even faster charging. Ignoring the warnings that came me with the product I used a different, but good quality, USB cable and charger. The charger is smaller and less obtrusive than the Auckly one and the cable is the perfect length for my installation (and has a 90 connector). Charging speeds are exactly the same.
Brilliant product! Super strong Magnets and the air vent mount is super strong too (tightens and grips superbly), was really surprised at the quality, really happy I purchased this. I wasn’t sure if to bother but I’m so glad I did, far superior to the mount I had previously. Also, I like how it lights up, not bright enough to be an issue and really adds to the quality aspect. Really happy!
This one does the job well and securely holds the phone in place – even on some of Lancashires pothole ridden roads.
I didn’t use either of the supplied mounts as the vents on an A8 close shut when the ignition is turned off and I didn’t want anything stuck to the dash. So, I modified the vent clip and fixed the ball joint to a Brodit mount using the threaded bar through a tapped hole in the mount – no sticky stuff left anywhere so no damage to the dash.
Some reviews have said the charger only worked with the supplied lead but mine works ok with an Anker 180 lead – this means the lead isn’t hanging down but goes back behind the mount and the dash.

Very good piece of kit, strong magnet, already had a MagSafe phone case so I didn’t need the ring that’s provided, but it’s great that they include all the necessary components if you do need them!
My van is old and doesn’t have anything for mobile phones. It’s still a great vehicle but there’s nowhere remotely convenient to put the phone for navigation or handsfree calling.
The Auckly 15W Magsafe car mount is the perfect solution though. The device is very simple and easy to attach to the vans air vents, it’s got a very strong magnetic attraction that holds the phone in place without a worry and it offers quick and effective charging even from the vans 12V socket using the included adapter.
