Used previously and they do work, protecting keyless entry car keys. After a time, three years, the lining degraded, quite understandably as keys go in and out, so replaced with these.
Good value. Thanks.
I got this for my dad after seeing how easy it was to steal a car with this type of key. If you have to keys that operate the same way, you need to also put your spare key in a Faraday pouch or it’s pointless. This is why I bought this one as a pair. Keys are safe and car can’t be stolen in the easy manner with push button starts.
Works perfectly, totally blocks signal from my car fob. Couldn’t start the car with the fob in the pouch. Gives me piece of mind when out and about and when at home that no one can clone the fob and drive my car away.
A few days after I bought these, one for me and one for hubby, there was facebook post on our local area page saying people had been stealing cars off of our drives using those devices that find your keys. Hubby was skeptical about getting them but now we use them all the time.
Work and great safety feature, but could have been a little bigger.
One word of warning. As they work so well, if your car won’t start then check you have taken key out of your pouch.
Does the job of shielding the car key fob from access to open the car door etc . Need to be placed in the correct pouch compartment as there are 2 compartments in the pouch. Bought the medium size to fit the key fob of a BMW .
I put the key fob into the main pocket of the wallet ,folded the top over and pushed the velcro together then Sutton next to my car with the wallet in my hand ,I held the wallet right on my door handle and the door would not unlock. Perfect just as it should be ,I removed the key fob and put it into my trouser pocket ,walked up to my car and it unlocked as it normally would , for the price and the fact that you get 2 wallets in the package ,I am more than happy ,just as good as others that were over twice the price , with so many scum bags about grabbing codes from you key fobs and making off with your hard earned car that you actually went out and worked for ,these Faraday wallets are a must have..
I’m very pleased with the two cases, they do exactly what the seller claims. I put my key inside the pouch, walked to the car to test if it worked. Normally if I just walked near my car there was a reaction. I happy to say nothing happened.
Bought this as I was worried about the stories I read about key cloning, this little pouch keeps key signals from reaching car so stops it from being cloned. Gives me peace of mind.
These work great. I opened my car and then put it inside pouch and got in car. It instantly said no key. There was an attempt to steal it with a keyless theft device the other night and these pouches kept it safe.
We bought these because of the rise in car thefts by scroats picking up the signal from the key fob,I use them both, one for the fob I’m using and the other one for the spare key fob,and they work and the good thing is the battery in the key fob lasts longer because it not trying to connect to your car because the signal is blocked.
Rather safe than sorry for my car keys as too many cars are being stolen via remote unlocking. These pouches stops your key from sending a signal and it works as it should.
I think these Faraday bags/envelopes are a good idea – I’ve heard stories about the information on car keys being copied, allowing a thief to steal a car. Anything to help stop that from being able to happen must surely be helpful.
These are fairly small bags, but I expect that is the point – it would mean you could keep this in a pocket or in a bag while out and about, keeping your keys protected even while out of the home. If you are someone who carries lots of keys though (and by lots I’m really only talking about two or three in addition to the car key), or any of those store key-fobs with your car key, you may find it difficult to fit your keys into these bags. This may or may not be a problem, depending on how fiddly it is to get the car key removed from the rest!
I do think that these are an easy way to protect your car keys, especially while at home.
