I just installed the Birdfy Feeder Bamboo. It has 2 separate places to add seed so you can put different seeds in each one to attract a variety of birds to your feeder. It is solidly built, easy to clean and the camera is completely secured in its own covered section with the antenna. This is great because the birds cannot sit on it, squirrels can’t pull at it, and it is easy to access. There is a grate on the bottom to keep the seeds from sitting in water when it rains keeping the seeds fresh and mold free. One of the best things about this feeder is that it will identify the birds. My husband put a 4 by 4 up and we added e few more feeders also. Behind the feeder is the hanger, which is easy to just slide you feeder onto and the hole in the back is for you to pass through the cable that is connect to the solar panel that keeps it charged. That works really well by the way. I am so very pleased about this feeder. We sit out in early evening with our wine and snacks and just enjoy the birds. How relaxing and entertaining!
This bamboos feeder beats any other feeder I own. It has a large capacity and split seed bins for feeding versatility. That increases bird varieties. There is good airflow in the box to keep the seed fresh. I’ve mounted it to a wooden post so it is very sturdy. I just love the cameras and AI capabilities. I think I will buy more for gifts for my bird loving friends. Very happy with this feeder.
This is my second Birdfy feeder. The setup was a lot faster with the newer camera and downloaded to the app instantly. The wood feels super solid and well put together. It came with lots of screws, several metal hose clamps, metal plates and more that made installation to however or wherever you want super easy. I haven’t got birds yet but pictures of me setting it up were good ;). I’m excited to get pictures with the new setup!!
This is the 4th Netvue product I have purchased. I have 2 original Birdfy feeders and one Netvue Vigil 3. I love them all but the Bamboo Feeder is, by far, the most attractive. It is well made and easy to set up right out of the box. I really like how the camera sits in a protected area within feeder itself. It makes it easy to remove and clean and also protects the antenna from the inevitability of squirrels! The camera quality seems to be improved as well since I purchased my first feeders when they first came out. I am looking forward to many more products from Netvue!
This is our second Netvue Birdfy feeder. We like the first one enough to set up a second.
This one comes mostly assembled and is easier to setup. You can share the videos with friends and can check out the action at your feeder any time from anywhere you have access.
I have had the original Birdfy for 1.5 yrs and was happy with the camera quality, at least I thought I was until I received the Bamboo feeder…. the video and multiple still shots are a hundred times better. The AI identification is 99% accurate. It’s a beautiful feeder with a lot of room for the seed. Defiantly recommend this!
The Birdfy Bamboo is built to last. Set-up is simple and straightforward. Two separate hoppers empty into the tray, allowing two different seed choices. The camera works well, and the AI bird identification works well. This feeder is much more attractive than the plastic Birdfy model – it will look good in any yard. The price is high, but it is a feeder that will last for years. We have over a dozen feeders in our yard and this is one of the best.
So, this is the second Birdfy feeder for me. I have had the blue and white Birdfy feeder lite, without the AI, for a year or so. This bamboo feeder is so much better looking, I was legitimately surprised when I opened the box, even after seeing it online. It’s really sharp looking in person. It’s large, has more weight to it, and it holds quite a lot of seed. The black cord and solar panel stand out a lot less than the previous white version. It is really modern in design, and I just love the look!
I’ve been happy with the older version in general but really never liked the blue and white (so hard to keep clean!) and the plastic construction, so this bamboo feeder made me very happy.
Setup was a little work but nothing overly complicated. I did have to download their newer app, the previous one I used didn’t work with the new feeder, but now that I have it I prefer the new app as well.
So far, I haven’t had any issues with it and I feel like it’s a huge improvement on the previous version. I’m eager to see how the night view is, I’ve only had it out in daylight, and I’ll update if I can when I see how it looks. Overall I am really happy with this feeder & camera.
This is the third bird feeder I have purchased from Netvue and it does not disappoint. The set up is easy, the camera quality is exceptional and cleaning it is a breeze! Within an hour of putting this in my front yard I had chickadees, wrens and tufted titmouse birds arriving. This is a wonderful gift idea for any nature lovers in your life!
This feeder is for those not wanting to refill as often and are interested in all the new perks that come with this latest series. I found it easy to mount with several options depending on your situation. It’s also easier for more birds to access the food on these perches, and because they are wood, they seem to be less skittish. I can’t wait to see more of the AI bird naming as that will help identify birds I don’t see as often. Great product overall!

This is the second Birdfy bird feeder I have purchased. The bamboo feeder is much more attractive and fits the aesthetics of my backyard more than the white model. The bamboo feeder is also larger and allows for two different types of feed. The included solar charger is an added bonus since I had to purchase this separately for my old feeder. The setup and app are easy to configure. I highly recommend this feeder to anyone who enjoys watching birds as well as any other animals who may come visit your feeder!
Amazing bird feeder from Birdfy! Very sturdy, and well built. I have another earlier version Birdfy feeder, and have been very happy with it. They’ve made some great improvements for this version, the camera and antenna are enclosed in the structure, the metal mesh floor, and dual seed compartments are all really nice! The modern design and sleek bamboo materials make it look super nice too. The included solar panel works great for keeping it fully charged all the time, even with pretty low levels of sun. The Birdfy app works really well too, easy to set up and connect, works well to capture all the birds visiting the feeder. I recommend Birdfy feeders to any friends interested in this stuff.
This is by far the best smart AI bird feeder on the market, we had the original one for.a few years now and we love it. We saw this new beautiful design and had to upgrade, it also now matches our Birdhouse from them as well :). The set up is very easy and the new Birdfy detected app is great. Our kids love looking at all the birds, the AI works pretty good and the camera quality is great. I would highly recommend this, we now have 2 feeders and the birdhouse. If they ever come up with a matching humming bird design we will be picking that up too!
This bird feeder package checks all the boxes I was looking for. It is styled well with solid wood and bamboo. It comes with a solar panel that keeps the camera charged year round. There are multiple mounting options included in the box which gives it great flexibility. The setup and install process is very straightforward, I had everything up and running in less than 30 minutes. I wish there was an option to integrate the camera into my Google Home profile but then I wouldn’t get the bird AI features. I should also note, this bird feeder is on the heavier side of things so just keep that in mind when mounting. Overall, I am impressed with the value and features offered and look forward to seeing the different birds that come and visit.
This is a beautiful bird feeder. It looks great in the flower garden. This is our second Netvue Birdfy and we couldn’t be more happy with the product. It takes great videos and the new Birdfy app is fantastic and easy to use. The quality is top notch and the bamboo really makes it stand out. The solar panel is a must have, it takes the worry out of keeping the battery charged.
My second go-around with a Birdfy AI feeder, the Bamboo version this time, and it hasn’t disappointed! AOur family enjoys a bit of birdwatching, this smart little feeder’s a gem. It fits in better than the orginal plastic Birdfy AI I have.
Hooking it up was a breeze, and getting to know the feathered visitors through the app seems reliable and easy. I had a bit of a hiccup when some cheeky squirrels took a liking to the solar charging cable on my first Netvue feeder, but the support team stepped right up and had it sorted out. Quick, easy, no fuss.
I mounted this one a pole in our back yard. I was pretty easy to do with the supplied hardware. The camera and the app work great and we are getting a lot of enjoyment from looking at the video captures of various birds. I just wish the Cardinals would use it. Not sure why they don’t. Might be too high up for them. Anyway, it’s a pretty high-quality item, except that the black paint is thin and is almost completely peeled off already in the exposed surfaces after only a couple of months. They should have used a penetrating stain instead of cheap, thin paint.
This was a Christmas present and it is wonderful. Sturdy birdhouse that has a nice, clean modern look. The camera charge has lasted forever but it also came with the solar charging panel which is nice. Easy to mount. Provides hours of entertainment, stress relief.
Looks modern, love the camera! Birds especially love the extended perch. Had to turn off notifications because I was watching birds while at work! Mounted on a cedar post and added black squirrel baffle to keep squirrels away.
We’ve been using the Bamboo Birdfy feeder for a few months and absolutely love it! It is very well built and looks stunning. It holds a lot of seed and comes with a solar panel so you won’t have to refill or charge it very often. Just set it up and birds will be feasting for days! One thing to note is that the feeder is heavy! Make sure that wherever you place it can hold alot of weight.
This is one of several Birdfy products and the only one I’ve used. Setting it up requires you to put in a well-anchored post or hanger, and you must have excellent wifi coverage out to where it will sit. It took us a couple of weeks and several extra purchases before we got it all working. The solar panel helps but you still need to take the camera out and charge it every few days, at least in the winter where we live. Once it’s up and running it’s a joy. Takes great photos and videos, attracts all kinds of birds, and has a very useful ‘siren’ feature that helps to chase away unwanted birds such as starlings and bigger raiders such as squirrels.
I purchased a Birdfy last year for my mom for Christmas and loved it so much, I bought one for myself. When I saw they had a newer version that was made out of wood I had to have it! The quality is great, it was easy to install, the video quality is improved over the previous version and it holds a lot more bird seed. I also like that there are two chutes for bird seed so I can use two different kinds of seed. The set up was extremely was easy as well. Highly recommend this for bird watchers!
The feeder allows for two different types of seed to be put in separate areas and keeps it safe from the rain and other elements. The perches are larger which allows for some of the medium to large birds to be able to perch on the feeder which is nice in allowing for a larger diversity of species to show up.
You don’t have to worry about batteries or plugging in the product because it comes with a solar panel that has always kept my feeders at a 100% charge. The video quality is really nice and the motion detects every time a bird comes to the feeder. It’s awesome that the app allows for downloading of the videos that it captures very easily. Even when it rains and rain gets onto the camera lens it washes off on its own without human intervention!
The AI has come a long way since I first got the Birdfy Lite, and now the app is very useful for helping identify the birds that come to the feeder. It is not always 100% correct in the IDs (not even Merlin bird ID gets them 100% correct because of angles of the photos taken and multiple species looking similar from similar angles) but a large majority of the time it is getting the bird correct, which is a solid job and I’ve seen continual progress overtime so it is heading to even higher levels of excellence.
Overall an amazing product with continual upgrades and enhancements.
I have the old plastic birdy for 9 months and thought I would upgrade to the bamboo version and WOW!!
It is bigger than the old plastic version and so well made. I got the bamboo birdfy out the box and was so pleased. It is stunning!!
But onto the main purpose for the feeder! Seeing the videos and it does not disappoint.
When I got my last feeder from birdfy I did wonder if it was a bit of a novelty and I’d get bored. But nope! 9 months in and every day I sit and watch through the videos to see whose visited the garden.
And with this new natural bamboo feeder my garden looks fabulous! The old feeder worked so well but didn’t merge into the tree it was in.
This feeder does so well, it looks natural.
It is easy to fill with lots of room so less frequent trips to fill it up.
The mounting was super easy to do and the solar panel keeps it charged even in the UK winter.
And the videos are a joy. Birdfy has improved their app over the last 9 months, you can have (or not) notifications for each bird that visits to your phone and then you can virtually collect them and share to the community. Their Facebook group is also really great!
The bamboo birdy camera would make a great gift to anyone that loves nature. We’ve got to see birds we didn’t know we had in the garden.
Spring time was also a great joy. With all the fledglings about and watching them mature.
I cannot rate this bird feeder high enough.

Initial Assembly took around 30 minutes to unpack and get the housing with the camera together and another 10 minutes to get the camera set up on the birdfy app. It was during this set up that I found the door for the camera housing was already cracked at the top. It seems pretty minor right now but I wonder if it will stay that way after a few season outdoors.
The feeder comes with everything you need for whatever mounting situation you could want (including tools). I opted for setting mine up on a pole facing another feeder, hoping to maximize some bird pictures from the camera. I’ll need to move it as my first placement is too far away to capture the birds on the other feeders.
The feeder includes a solar panel which is great, I don’t like the idea of charging my bird feeder, ever so this is a smart addition. I also have the Birdfy Lite and found that the solar panel provides sufficient power to keep the camera charged even through some very cloudy weeks in the winter.
Some features I like:
Holes in the base plate where the food sits for water to drain so the food doesn’t turn to soggy soup.

Some features I didn’t like:
I assembled the feeder a couple of weeks before I put it outside, Bridfy has an AI bird recognition feature that you can demo right after initial setup, if you’re slow to get it outside you miss this opportunity (so this is a specific use situation but still wish I could choose when to do the trial) especially if it takes a few days/weeks for a new feeder to attract birds.
The cracked door for the camera right out of the box, it works without issue so it’s not worth the hassle to return.
The birdfy app gives the community more real estate than my own videos/pictures right on the home screen. I wish it would highlight only my stuff on the home screen. You can use the app to take some good pictures of birds in live view but they aren’t easy to find in-app.
Altogether, if you want to step up up your back yard feeder by getting video and photos of your neighborhood birds I would highly recommend this. It’s easy to set up, has all the tools and easy instructions, and takes great photos even on cloudy days. There a few small things about the app that I would like to be improved but really it does what you need, takes and records photos and videos automatically and saves them to the cloud for a while so you can download whatever you want at your pace/desire.
This is my second Netvue Birdfy feeder and as usual, the quality of the product is excellent. Installation was very simple and I appreciate the different options provided so you can choose a place to mount that works best for you. This time I’ve decided to mount it on a pole and it’s holding up very well. The quality of the video is great. The main feature I like is that it is simple to clean and refill as needed. This is very important to me because a lot of bird feeders can be a hassle to take apart and clean.
Definitely a beautiful addition to my backyard and the birds discovered it a few minutes after it was up.
Solar panel is an amazing addition so I don’t have to take the camera in to charge.
It would make a great gift for a bird watching lover. Netvue products are the best and their customer service is great. I have nothing but good things to say about it. I’m very happy with this feeder.
I have one of the original Birdfy Feeders for over a year and decided to try another one of their more current products. I still have the other one and what seems to be great about this one is the squirrels are not as attracted to this one as they are the original one. The AI works great at identifying birds as they come to snack. The camera can also work as a security camera disguised as a bird feeder.
The setup of the product took about 15 minutes and I will say there was a big improvement in getting the camera connected to the wi-fi.
Camera quality is also better. Cant tell if it is a better camera or the new app improves the images.
This is a great gift for any bird lover. I have had this bird feeder setup for about 4 days now and no squirrels. I am sure they will figure it out soon enough as they always do. The new app also has some additional settings and looks better too.
The feeder provided two slots for different types of seed which allows us to attract even more types of birds. The hinge roof makes it easy to fill and the feeder comes apart so it’s easy to clean.
The feeder is easy to mount and has several different options for you to choose from. The solar panel is also easy to mount and provides a great charge so you never have to worry about charging the battery.
I can’t recommend this feeder enough for a bird lover or the entire family. It has provided us hours of enjoyment.
This is my second Birdfy, and this one is a marked improvement over the original. I really liked the first one, which was a Birdfy Pro, although the all-plastic build was a bit flimsy. This new model, however, is head and shoulders above the previous one. The wood is very solid, the build quality is precise, and set up was incredibly easy. The new app to manage and view the cameras is also vastly improved in my opinion. plus, the looks alone on this new model are really sleek and modern. I have not had it very long, but I believe it will be very durable. I do have the solar panel option, so cannot really speak to battery life.
I did utilize Netvue support, and while not a phone conversation, they were very responsive via email and resolved my issue quickly.
The only criticism I would have is regarding the quality of the bird recognition. It is not perfect, but does seems to be getting better over time. Overall, I would highly recommend this feeder to anyone with the slightest interest in their backyard visitors
It’s easy to fill and the mesh floor easy to clean. It’s also a breeze to disassemble to get to the camera. The antenna is inside the feeder, which on one hand might affect WiFi strength but on the other will keep it safe from gnawing chipmunks and squirrels. The AI is a wonderful feature, but not always accurate. It would be nice for location to play a part in identifying birds (black-capped chickadee vs Carolina, for example).
The perches are strong and have room for multiple birds. I can’t wait for more visitors!

This is my second Birdfy, my first is the blue roof plastic AI birdfy.
Upon delivery, I was in awe at the size and quality of the Bamboo feeder. It was very easy to put together, set up and mount. Everything is included! I especially love that I don’t have to charge the camera as it has its own solar panel.
The pros and cons that I list are comparing the Birdfy AI Smart Bird Feeder.
Pros:
The limited edition Christmas packaging had me from, “Hello”. The greeting card tickled me as well.
The QUALITY is the WOW factor! It seems very sturdy and made well.
The clarity of the videos is great!
A screw driver was included to add the extended perch.
The camera is protected against the weather completely inside the feeder.
Adding the camera to my existing app was a breeze.
Included is everything you need to mount your feeder to a post, tree or wall. The Bamboo feeder actually was much, much easier to install and remove than the plastic Smart Birdfy. I love the ease of moving the feeder to other locations until I find the perfect spot for it.
Cons:
Although the camera is great, the housing it sits in is tight and does not allow for you to adjust the camera angle. My plastic Birdfy allows me to adjust the angle of the camera to best capture the birds eating! I was even able to capture a woodpeckers very long tongue while he ate, but the camera angle doesn’t adjust to capture that on the Bamboo feeder.
The birds seem to be feeding more away from the center due to the seed bin openings on the sides of the feeder.
The camera image is limited on the right hand side due to the “wall” cutting off the broader field of vision on that side.
AI: The unit I got did not include free AI (artificial intelligence tells you the kinds of birds the camera captures and a still photo of each bird identified) but it does offer a free week of AI. I declined, as my other Birdfy has AI and I already learned what the birds are that visit my feeders (I do love the AI, I just do not need it on both feeders). It is great but is not always accurate with identifying birds.
The mount for the solar panel I was not happy with, I ended up not using the mount at all. I attached the solar panel without the included mount.
Overall, I love the camera and highly recommend it. However, I do prefer the more broad field of vision from the plastic blue roof Birdfy, as the other feeder gets a better photo of birds in the center vs off to the sides on the Bamboo feeder.
I do like that it has two different sides for seed because sometimes I do like using different kinds to attract various birds. Super cool that the bottom mesh area is easily removable for cleaning. Also that it is sloped so that the seed can be dispensed better.
There is a hinge for the top roof part for the seed and also a hinge for the camera panel. The front panel pulls forward so that the camera and antenna are both enclosed. I think that is going to strongly help with the longevity of the camera/antenna.
So far, the solar panel has been doing an excellent job at keeping the camera charged and very easy to install. I already had a spare pole so I hung the birdfeeder on there just to see how the wifi would work with it being so far away from the house. I may switch it onto a post (bird feeder is heavy with seed added). Seems to work great so far, although weak signal at times, again I do have it pretty far from the house. I added a micro SD card (not included) so that I can see prior activity better and save videos.
The perch extender is a very nice size. I did have to wedge it in there, which wasn’t a big deal. I would rather have it too tight than too loose.
Overall, I am very pleased with the birdfeeder. I like the simple stylish look and the birds enjoy it too.

The feeder came nearly fully assembled – and after setting a 4×4 post in my yard, it was easily mounted with the included heavy-duty mounting bracket. I love the included solar panel, it was a separate add-on when I bought my original feeder but so worth it to keep the camera charged so you don’t miss any birdie action. The directions were easy to follow and the new feeder was added to my Netvue app quickly. Now I have both feeders available at a glance – yay!
A few things that I really love about this model:
1 – the environmentally friendly bamboo is just classier than the original plastic aqua & white housing
2 – holy smokes – this holds a LOT of bird food! The photos show one full bag in the feeder with room for another, 101 oz. capacity in this one vs. the original feeder’s 50 oz.
3 – there are two separate compartments for bird food – this was a surprise to me and I can’t wait to add another type of food tp attract different species.
4 – not sure if this is only my perception, but the video quality seems to have improved -it is fantastic!
I cannot rate the new AI feature as the feeder is still new and not as active as the one in my back yard. I am looking forward to more birds coming to it once they discover that a new restaurant is open.
As others have said you’ll likely want to silence notifications, if you have a lot of birds eating from the feeder your phone will be going off non-stop.
All in all I think this is a great feeder that truly blends in to our yard, is easy to fill and clean, and the camera quality with bird identification is great. Highly recommend!
