Boompods Zero Talk Mini Portable Bluetooth Speaker
Boompods Zero Talk Mini Portable Bluetooth Speaker with Amazon Alexa Built-In, Smart Devices – Small Wireless Waterproof Speaker IPX6, 5hr Playtime, Microphone for Shower, Travel, Car & iPhone, Blue
I got and thought what a waste of money, I set it up and wow its fantastic, definitely the best portable speaker I have seen in a long time and the sound quality is awesome too. Getting the kids one now as they keep pinching mine and with built in alaxa it makes it so much better. 10 out of 10 from me.
I bought this speaker to boost my phone when playing music. It’s not a bad speaker but when used quite loud can sound a bit tinny. It’s just what I needed and very small so can easily go in a pocke
Dislike – The rubber cover to its charging port is small and fiddly to uncover. Definitely not fun if you chew your nails… which, luckily, I haven’t done for 4 decades. Still fiddly though. 🙂
Like(s) – A battery charge lasts ages… and the sound quality (and volume) is amazing. Bluetooth pairing is simplicity itself and I like the voice-assistance that tells you what it’s doing. I use it as a companion to my iPhone for music playback… and it’s great. And small enough to be carried unobtrusively in a trouser pocket.
PS – My apologies to all the diners at Wagamama when I demonstrated this wee speaker to my audiophile brother and his partner. The entire (huge) restaurant turned our way as I tried to shut the speaker down quickly, even over the restaurant’s own background music… my fault completely.
For the price it’s spot on and value for money.
Better as bluetooth speaker rather than Alexa use. It’s good and sound is not bad either.
Got it for listening to podcasts
It’s so small, yet it is quite powerful
The only things I’ve found a little annoying:
– the charging cable is a pain to access.
– the software you need to install to be able to use it fully is a little annoying as once you’ve got it connected you’ll probably never use it agai
I’m struggling to see the point of it. The Alexa only works if you’re connected to the hi) app. So if you have to have your phone right there, wouldn’t you just use Alexa on your phone?
Also I used it for the digital radio stations, but it turns of if you recond on your phone’s camera. So I can’t film the sound quality for this review… The sound is not too shabby for the size of it though.
Also Alexa drop in is not supported.
Simple to pair and once you’ve downloaded the app it’s very simple to link up. The sound quality it what you would expect from a speaker the size of a fererro rocher, the volume is good but there is no depth to the music. It’s a great personal speaker for holiday/ poolside as it isn’t going to disturb your neighbours. The Alexa part is a bonus. You have to connect to your Amazon account which then allows you to make use of your playlists or radio stations/podcasts etc. it’s worth what we paid for it and we will get great use out of it on holiday.
