Cheese Making Kit – Around The World in 20 Cheeses
The Around The World in 20 Cheeses, Cheesemaking Kit makes 20 different cheeses for all around the world! The kit includes everything you need except the milk!
Many people don’t know how straightforward and satisfying it is to make their own cheese at home. It has become something of a lost art but now it really is possible for anyone to become a cheesemaker with our Around The World in 20 Cheeses, Cheesemaking Kit
All of Cheese Monkey’s kits have been designed to guide you through the process of making cheese. They are really simple to use with acclaimed, step-by-step instructions.
This Cheese Making Kit starts with some simple, quick and tasty cheeses (mozzarella, ricotta) and moves on to cheeses from all around the world that you may never have tasted before! The 20 different cheeses that anyone can make with this kit include…
- Mozzarella: a great one to start your cheesemaking journey with. It can be made and eaten fresh in under an hour. Start with four litres of milk and you’ll have mozzarella by the time your pizza oven has warmed up. Ever wondered what makes the perfect, melting-mozzarella for pizzas? When you make it yourself you can see how each stage in the process has an effect on the finished cheese.
- Mascarpone: perfect sweetened for Italian desserts or used to thicken risotto. It’s easy to make and so much cheaper when you do it yourself.
- Ricotta: when you make it yourself from fresh milk you can create sweet or savoury varieties of this low-fat, fresh-tasting cheese. We also include a recipe a traditional aged version know as “ricotta salata”. This is perfect in salads and can be crumbled or grated into any dish.
- Paneer: this Indian cheese is very quick to make, so homemade palak paneer is always an option for dinner
- Burrata: this is a great one for the cheesemaker because it isn’t often available to purchase. You make mozzarella in the usual way and then stuff a mozzarella skin with creamy, strands of curds. Definitely an interesting one to try!
- Brunost: a slightly obscure cheese from Denmark with caramel flavour
- Labneh: cheese balls from Syria that are eaten for breakfast with jam, traditionally stored and preserved in jars of olive oil.
- Cottage Cheese: just add chives to your fresh cottage cheese for an instant salad
- Queso Blanco: white, fresh curd cheese from Spain. Try eating it with honey!
- Cheshire Cheese: the recipe for a quick cheshire cheese makes a cheese that can be eaten straight away or left to mature
- Chhena: a curd cheese from Bangladesh that is used for making desserts.
- Sqeaky Grilling Cheese: the unique properties of this Greek Cheese mean you can fry or even barbecue it without it melting. Can you perfect the cheese that “squeaks”?
- Plus more….! Quark (fresh buttermilk cheese from Germany), Marbled Porter (great with a ploughmans’ lunch), Scottish Crowdie (pile on the raspberries for a summer pudding), Queso Fresco (traditional shepherds’ cheese from South America), Roule (rolled herb cheese from France)
We are always available to offer help and support if you need it when making your own cheese.

Seems like a real winner of a gift.
It was liked that much he went on to purchase a further two.
There are different flavours available which is something worth looking at aswell.
In summary, a good buy, good value for money and an ideal gift to give someone that has everything
I purchased two of these cheese making kits as Christmas gifts and the feed back from the recipients has been very good. Both indicated that they would be making the cheeses and were impressed with the variety of cheeses that could be made with the kit. They arrived in prompt time and I would recommend them as an unusual gift for someone who perhaps is hard to buy for.
This is maybe harder than I anticipated! I wasted 4ltrs of milk by making it too warm, and you do need a VERY large saucepan but it was fun trying and I will persevere!
bought this kit a year ago and made the chesire cheese which was absolutely beautiful. However when starting to do another batch recently we realised we had lost the recipe book so l contacted the company and spoke the very helpful and friendly ROB , not only did he help with my measurement issue he is also very kindly sending me a new book . l would highly recommend to any cheese lover out there.
Bought as present for my daughter who loves cheese. Great for us to do together with easy instructions. All you need is to buy the right milk for the type of cheese you want and you are on your way. Recipes for cheeses not readily available in shops too.
Oh my goodness this is fun and so rewarding… it might take some time, but what good thing doesn’t? First, I tried the mozzarella and then the halloumi do far. Can’t wait to try another cheese. I’ve been using raw Jersey cow milk from a local farm and it yields far more than the recipe says. I have to leave a few weeks between makes as we get cheesed out, but not for long! You’ll need a really big pan and 4l milk. So tasty, creamy, flavoursome – go for it!
A very good introduction to cheese making, the box looks bigger than it actually is but has everything to get started. Would have been nice to have a round mould as well as the square one. Tried the ricotta and this tasted divine! just as i remembered it from sicily, i also aged a batch in the fridge and it was good on pasta. I have now done 3 flavours, black pepper, chilli flakes and pistachios. Also did the rich cheshire recipe and this was lovely. Will do the mozarella for my italian husband next…………..
The kit comes with everything you need to Get started (except the milk/cream!), initially when I thought of trying to make cheese I was looking at separate books, rennet, citric acid etc and trying to choose cheese cloths – so many decisions! The box comes with everything in, in handy sachets with your first 20 recipes to try. Definitely much easier and excellent value if you’re not sure this is going to be a regular hobby yet.
I’ve seen some comments that the box is small – but it doesn’t need to be any bigger! I was quite happy to give it as a present and it has been very well received. I wouldn’t hesitate to gift it again.
After care / customer service has also been fabulous as I contacted the manufacturer via their Facebook page for advice – which was prompt and friendly.
Very happy customer – my Rich Cheshire Cheese is currently pressing and am looking forward to trying it tomorrow, if the salted curds I just put in the mould are anything to go by it’s going to be delicious.
Next up halloumi.
I would definitely recommend anyone who is looking for something new to do give this a go
I suggest using a digital thermometer if you have one as the temperatures are somewhat difficult to gauge on the smaller non digital one provided.
Some reviews mentioned the box being small, but for reassurance that really doesn’t matte
This arrived quite a bit smaller than expected but all of the ingredients promised inside. It is for a gift that hasn’t been given yet but I’m sure my partner is going to like it. Instructions seem like they are easy enough to follow. A bit expensive but makes a nice little gift for someone.
The Bryndza cheese worked well and as picture shows, pickled in brine, lasting a while.
The salad picture shows end result, draining from pickling jar and crumbling on salad. Pick a chunk out with a small fork, and then crumble onto salad for a great tangy uplift to a salad.
Much easier to make than for example the Cheshire, which needed a fair bit of pressing with some very odd weights!
