This is the first cup I have bought that actually keeps drinks warm for hours! I know it’s a wee bit pricier than most but you really do get what you pay for with these cups.
They are really easy to wash too, always a bonus.
No spills either as you press the button when you are ready to take a drink.
Thermal element of the flask works well. Keeps my coffee hot for 3-4 hours while working outside in the cold. Reason it didn’t get a 5* is because the lid design of the push is a bit naff, hard to clean. There is a release button to make the mechanism loose to try and clean it but still isn’t great to be able to get a sponge and scrub in there. And I have a feeling it will fail soon. Only been using 4 weeks. We’ll see
I like the size and have around 3 variants from the same maker, the other click lids always leak after about 6 months and the seal breaks, this type never have this issue and will last a good few years.
I’ve had many Contigo Westloops. But if you want the very best you need to go for the stainless uncoated version, in which case you can put both cap and cup in the dishwasher. The coated colours although great, over time the coating chips off, even with following the no dishwasher instructions. Go for the stainless!
Been using it every day since I had it. Fits very well in the hand. But it does only keep the drink hot for probably three and a half hours. I’ve Knocked. It. over a couple times. And it didn’t spell a drop. overall, a good product.
Unfortunately mine didn’t pass the 100% leakproof test, so I wouldn’t recommend tossing it in a bag. The mouthpiece seal works great but the liquid can still get through the actual lid. Personally, this is not a huge problem for me as have a little slot in my bag that keeps the bottle upright but just something to bare in mind if it’s important for others.
Cleaning is fine if you know what you’re doing, you have to play around with the mechanics of the Autoseal a little bit. I’ve had mine for a few weeks and the colour hasn’t eroded like I’ve seen being said in other reviews.
Overall, a great thermos to keep your drink warm. Would recommend 🙂
mug is easy to clean and great to use. I tried shaking it vigorously and not a drop escaped in my bag. I am so pleased with it. Not only is it leakproof but it keeps the coffee inside warm for hours. Would definitely recommend.
I bought 2 of these for my wife and myself, and after several weeks of constant use by both of us, we are still happy with them.
They have a locking system to help prevent leaks which has worked perfectly so far, and they do keep liquid warm for a considerable time. (I haven’t tried with cold liquids yet so can’t comment on that.)
On one occasion while I was doing some delivering, I actually forgot that I had it with me, but 4 hours later my coffee was still warm enough to drink.
**A word of caution, they are good at keeping liquid warm, so be careful as you could easily burn yourself. (I learned this the hard way)
Cleaning the lid and the sealing mechanism can be a bit fiddly but ok once you get the hang of it.
All in all a good Travel Mug and I would have no problem buying one of these again.
If, like me, you like your coffee hot then this is the item for you.
So many travel mugs keep your coffee hot for about an hour or so. This one keeps it hot for sooooooooooooo much longer. Don’t believe me? Then buy one and try for yourself.
I found that, after pouring my drink into the mug and replacing the lid, if I did not press the button to drink, then the coffee stayed hot for up-to 5 hours. It may well be longer, but by then I was getting caffeine withdrawal so for my sanity I started to drink.
Once I had started to drink the cup kept the contents hot for about another 45 minutes. Constant opening of the leak-proof slider meant more colder air was getting inside but it still remained at a decent temperature for drinking for a further 30 plus minutes.
This was NOT a scientific test but it was one that verified the claims made on the purchase page.
I am extremely happy with this product and am happy to recommend it.

Great cup does exactly what it say. Keeps drink hot for hours but always make the drink taste or rubber. Tried cleaning with different soaps have left sitting in hot water but no change. Always tastes of rubber. Other than this does as advertised.
I got one of these from my employer and was so impressed that I immediately bought one for my girlfriend. It keeps stuff hot for ages and is genuinely the best mouthpiece that I’ve experienced on a thermal cup. Recommended.
Wow-totally did not expect this to be leak proof as other product have have said the same but do. But my goodness it is totally leak proof when you clip the lock down and has rolled around the floor well of my car and not spilled a drop! The downside (if it could even be called that )is that it keeps my tea hot for sooooo long that I have to take the lid off to get air to it to cool it down to drink. But hey that is not a downside as it stays hot for hours!!! Brilliant product and worth the money.
This is perfect for what I wanted it for . To clean it before first use I put boiling water and suds into with the lib off . Half an hour later I went to rinse it out , it was still boiling hot ! I hope it my drink stays as cold as it seems to keep hot drinks very hot . Thank you.
They’re a little pricier than other available brands, but worth every penny. All the drinks bottles in our house have been replaced with contigo metal or plastic ones and I won’t change to anything else as long as the brand keeps its quality up.
My only criticism of this bottle is the lid with its no spill mechanism is a little harder to clean than some of the older ones, but nothing significant.
