Klare Empfehlung!
A solid state case. Protects all the vital bits too. Very easy to fit. But I would invest in some thermal grease for the microcontroller ic. As the packet is barely enough for both sides of the copper shim. Otherwise there is nothing wrong about this case.
Mantiene la temperatura de la CPU por debajo de los 50 grados con programas de trabajo moderado. Quizs con programas ms intentos o en verano, sea necesario cambiarlo por uno con ventilador, pero por el momento va muy bien y no tienes ruido.
It is everything you expect from such a case. It covers both side of the PCB while leaving access to the pin headers on top. It comes with two sets of pin header extensions, so you can make them as tall as you need to get over the top of the case.
There are three heat conductive pads to attach between the PCB and the case on each of the hotest components. It all then bolts together. It keeps the RPi cool, but it really does depend where you place it as this does need airflow for it work. I didn’t get a chance to stress-test this part of it. But yes – the case gets warm as it conducts the heat away. If you’re going to be hammering the RPi for extended periods then perhaps you’re better off with active cooling, but this is great where passive cooling is needed as it really does help carry the heat away.
Overall a great RPi 5 case.
As an enthusiast and frequent user of Raspberry Pi 5, I recently invested in this aluminium case to address temperature concerns, and I’m thoroughly impressed with its performance. Here’s why:
Compact Design: The case is incredibly compact, making it an ideal choice for those looking to keep their Raspberry Pi 5 setup sleek and space-efficient. It fits perfectly, ensuring all ports and components are accessible.
Superior Heat Dissipation: The standout feature of this case is its exceptional heat dissipation capability. Even during high CPU usage, the temperature never exceeded 49C in a room with a 20C ambient temperature. This is a significant improvement over active cooling, where I previously recorded a maximum of 64C. It’s worth noting that results may vary depending on room temperature, but this case does an excellent job of keeping the Raspberry Pi 5 cool.
Value for Money: Considering the outstanding heat management it offers, the price of this aluminium case is more than justified. It’s a cost-effective solution to prevent overheating issues in your Raspberry Pi 5.
In summary, if you’re a Raspberry Pi 5 enthusiast or rely on it for various projects, this aluminium case is a game-changer. Its compact design, exceptional heat dissipation, and value for money make it a must-have accessory. You can trust it to keep your Raspberry Pi 5 running at an optimal temperature, ensuring reliable performance. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
