An amazing product. I’m the envy of my whole street now. My Christmas light show has gone up a few levels. One annoyance is the app. It’s pretty complicated and completely unnecessarily long winded to do simple things. The UX is just awful. Otherwise it’s great and can be controlled fairly easily once connected. I got them on black Friday and paid 100 less than RRP.
My husband couldn’t get his head round the price of these lights so took us a while to purchase them. We did buy them on offer but still paid near on 200 for them.
We haven’t regretted that purchase one bit.
The lights sit nicely on the facia and are incredibly easy to put up. We used the sticky pads provided cleaning with alcohol spray as we went and so far they have adhered well and none have fallen down in the strong winds we have had. We have initially bought them as I wanted accent lighting around the house in the evenings and we also needed to replace our Christmas lights that broke last year while putting them up. They light the house beautifully when placed on a accent lighting mode that we made in the app. The Christmas lights this year have been spectacular and we have had lots of neighbours stopping to ask us where we got them etc.
We are known as the rainbow house on the road and catch people stopping to have a look while driving past.
We couldn’t be more pleased with the end results and ease of use etc. They look incredible and the best things is, you never have to take them down. Within 5 seconds you are in Christmas mode and ready for the new holiday season.
The pre-set functions are brilliant and lights can be set on a timer to come on so you dont even need to do that.
The best outdoor lights on the market when I bought them. They are now releasing their pro version in the UK which are a step up, (and a step up in price). Only downer is they only come in white, when black is less obvious. That said, the light shows are amazing and can be set for any styles. Initially I was searching Philips Hue outdoor lighting however my basket came to over a 1000 and they were rated less waterproof.
Using these lights saved me 800 give or take. I bought the 30M version of these lights. Better to have too much than not enough.
The individual light cables are so long and have a good amount of playability if your putting the in the ground like I did. The way each cable screws into eachother I am certain of the IP rating.
I buried some of the wiring under the soil I’m the flower beds and under stones in the garden.
My outdoor socket isn’t working for some reason so I just fed the wire through a gap in the patio door.
The lights are so bright, even in mid evening when it’s not fully dark yet. The settings on the app are awesome. So many lighting colours and options. I set a timer on the app to come on at 22:00 and go off at 04:00. It all works through Bluetooth and WiFi.
So far so good :)) I am happy.
