I don’t usually write reviews but felt I had to with this one. This little machine is a fabulous piece of kit for the price. It vacuums and mops really well and I really love it. It works best if you clear as many obstacles as you can out of it’s path and it requires a bit of supervision as it can occasionally get stuck but overall it does a fantastic job and cleans the whole room. You have to pause it in order to drive it with the remote but that works well. It has to operate on Broadband 2.4 GHz so it took me a bit of fiddling to sort that but wasn’t too difficult. It does an amazing job of picking up the dog hair but it does get wrapped around the brush so you need to cut it off/ clean it off. It is super easy to clean so I just do it every time I have finished cleaning the house. I would recommend vacuuming first and then mopping floors after. I have been really amazed at how much dirt it picks up. I was pretty sceptical about Robovacs but was tired of vacuuming and thought I would give it a try. I love it, my house is so much cleaner now and it can vacuum while I’m watching the telly. Honestly, it is sooooo worth the money. I love it!
I recently purchased the Honiture G20 robot vacuum, and I’m impressed with its performance. The navigation system is efficient, tackling corners and edges with ease. The suction power is strong, ensuring a thorough clean, and the quiet operation allows it to work seamlessly without disruption. The app control adds convenience, making it a reliable and user-friendly choice for maintaining a clean home. Overall, I highly recommend the Honiture G20 for its impressive features and reliable performance.
I’ve called my G20 Pro “Quentin”, and there’s a good chance that I love him more than my husband.
I work from home, and so not only do the household chores pile up, but I also have to work in the same environment. I’m always aware of the next task to do, and there’s just never enough time in the day to do them all. Quentin is a fantastic machine – very easy to put together, and arrived with about 30-35% charge (so ready to do a test run!).
The packaging is mostly recyclable, but there’s a few plastic bags/stickers in there as well (maybe something the manufacturer can address in the future?). The G20 is really easy to put together and very intuitive to use. It took me less than 5 minutes to put it together and find a suitable spot for the charging hub, and I was ready to try Quentin out.
Other reviews stated that the G20’s ‘smart’ mode didn’t work for them – but I can confirm that it absolutely has worked for me. Quentin will very sensibly work in a back and forth motion across the room and has no trouble crossing the slightly raised boundary line between our living room and kitchen. It takes him about 20 minutes to complete both rooms, which is well within his battery life…the app shows me that he still has more than 75% capacity left, even when he’s running on full power.
Others have also stated that they struggle to connect the G20 to Alexa – I didn’t have this problem but I did have to Google the instructions as they weren’t provided in the accompanying booklet. Once I had them, though, Quentin connected straight away with no problems. For anyone struggling to connect him, you need to add the ‘Smart Life’ skill in the Alexa app, select HonySmart, and sign in using the same details as the HonySmart app. The map that it creates isn’t that useful to me, but the G20 itself seems to find it useful and clearly ‘learns’ where corners are as it’s cleaning and navigates them beautifully – much better than the brand of robot vacuum that my parents use (unknown brand – sorry!).
The app itself isn’t as smart as others on the market, but it does do the job. At first I was confused as to why the G20 was in mopping mode rather than suction mode, and I had to manually change it using the app. Once this was done though, I could test him out – with excellent results. We have house rabbits, so pet hair is a big problem, but Quentin managed it all with ease. I wanted to test how much more efficient the G20 was than I am with the shark hoover, so I gave the shark a run round the day before the G20 arrived. To my delight, Quentin was 1/2 full when he’d finished his task…and I’m pretty thorough with the shark!
Quentin hasn’t had any problems getting home so far, even when he’s in a different room. At most, it takes about 2 minutes for the G20 to find it’s way to the charging hub, and that’s if it’s in a particularly tricky position to begin with. The mopping function is useful for a spot clean, but I’ll follow this up with a deeper clean when I get the chance. Quentin is set to vacuum at 1am every night, and I’m over the moon to come down to a clean floor every morning. Do not hesitate to buy!
Having a dog that sheds masses of hair on a daily basis, we were looking for a suitable vacuum cleaner that could handle the job. I was a bit sceptical as we’d never had one before. How wrong I was. The HONITURE G20 Pro has been fantastic. The amount of suction and hair pick up is amazing. It is easy to operate through the app and easy to clean. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to friends and family, and would buy one again. All in all a well priced vacuum cleaner that does an excellent job.
I bought the Honiture G20 Pro after reading some positive reviews online, and I have to say I’m very impressed with its performance. It’s easy to set up and control with the app, and it can vacuum and mop my floors automatically. It has a powerful suction which means it can pick up dust, crumbs, pet hair and other debris effectively. It also has a smart dynamic navigation system which allows it to map out the best cleaning path and avoid obstacles. It can even detect the floor type and adjust the water flow accordingly when mopping.
The battery life is decent on a single charge. It also returns to the charging base automatically when the battery is low or when the cleaning is done. The dustbin is easy to empty and clean, and the filters and brushes are replaceable.
Overall, I’m very happy with the G20 Pro. It saves me a lot of time and effort, and it keeps my floors clean and shiny. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and affordable robot vacuum cleaner with mopping function.
This hoover does a good job on my carpets and kitchen floor ,picking up lots of crumbs and small bits as well as hairs and fluff from furnishings. It is much easier for me to use than a full size hoover which I find too heavy to manoeuvre as I am now in my eighties and have mobility issues. Sometimes it will need emptying half way through its cleaning cycle, depending on the frequency of use and how much traffic there has been across the carpet. I am delighted with the results and it is easy to lift when you need to empty the dust box and clean the brush unit and this only takes a few minutes. A really great product to have, saves you a lot of energy too, so I am very happy with it!
Impressed with this product, it’s our first foray into the robo vac world and have to say it’s a good choice. The unit is easy to setup from the box and get going with the guides provided. The unit has good suction power and is still relatively quiet, works in the background, or when your not there so when you return home the hovering is done. Small compact form so can be tucked away into a corner or behind a door. Overall a very good hoover, a good choice, it’s also a big time saver as who wants to do the hoovering these days, if your looking to get yourself a robo vac then you can’t really go wrong with the G20 Pro.
Having had an iRobot Roomba for some years, when it needed replacement we decided to invest in a replacement which would also mop our wooden floors. We looked at many options and read many reviews and decided that the Honiture Pro ticked all the boxes. It arrived securely packaged and after a read of the excellent instructions was very quickly put to work. It is now a few weeks since purchase and I feel able to write a review based on experiences rather than first impressions.
The Pro has worked hard on a variety of surfaces, real wooden floors as well as laminated surfaces have been mopped and ‘hoovered’ with very good results. Bathroom tiled floors have also been successfully cleaned although the wheels do sometimes lose traction on the wet tiles but, heyho, this is a nothing in the great scheme of things. Short and thick piled carpets have also been beautifully cleaned and I am amazed how much dirt and fluff ends up in the dust box. Our black cat sheds hair and the Pro makes light work of this too on all surfaces. All in all – 10 out of 10.
The magnetic barrier works well and has a variety of uses. Stops the pro falling down the stairs. Divides the areas to be cleaned etc.
The only minor problem we’ve encountered is the poor little thing can get stuck under the sofas owing to it having a quite low profile. The magnetic barrier isn’t quite long enough so will need another to prevent such ocurences.
Time will tell if the Pro has lasting properties but I’m very pleased with my purchase thus far.
I have been using this product almost daily, I am impressed by this automatic room mapping functionality. It is able to clean all areas of a room accurately, very good suction power. With carpet booster functionality it can remove entangled hair and other dust from carpets. The mopping functionality is very good and the water tank capacity is adequate. Works well with Alexa and Google assistant. The auto charging functionality works well, it navigates to charger on its own when it is below 15%. Overall I am happy with the quality and features of this product.
The reason for 4 star is I would have liked more Google/Alexa voice controlled commands rather than just start and stop.
Well this is the 3rd Honiture Robot vac I have bought, this one purchased for my elderly parents. So I have one of these the G20 Pro and also a G20 the model before this one. As I’m sure you have already guessed I have been very happy with the performance of these machines.
My parents are also overwhelmed at how the G20Pro has made life that bit easier for them and they have quickly become very attached to it, seeing it as their little helper. I think the fact that it is quite light to handle compared to the upright they own and also very easy to maintain. These are some of the reasons I am also very happy that I invested in them. My dad handles the use and maintenance of the robot vac and for once was very easy to show and explain how to use the vac with the HonySmart app downloaded from the Playstore. It is fairly easy to set up and connect to your network, depending on your router I suppose, these operate on the 2.4ghz signal and most routers are dual band now. I have a TalkTalk Hub and had to disable the 5GHZ signal in the hub menu which was easy to do to get it to connect, then just switched it back on and had no problem once the setup was complete. Think there may be a fault with my router to be honest and am looking to upgrade to something else, so this might just be an issue I have had and no reflection on the robot vac itself.
You can control the machines by a remote control with included batteries, the app, or with voice activation ie Alexa. Personally I prefer to use the app as it displays all the various settings, displays mapping whilst in use and shows the lifespan of all the easily replaced parts. For example the main brush, side brushes and Hepa filter. Both machines are outstanding, very efficient at cleaning and it never ceases to amaze me how much they actually pick up and you can really tell when the carpets have been cleaned after the robot vac has completed it’s task. The main difference between the G20Pro and G20 is the suction power which you can adjust in the app by the way, on full power the G20Pro has a suction rating of 4500pa gives it that extra punch when on the full setting which is noticeable. Obviously it uses more power when on the highest setting but still cleans really well and lasts longer if you reduce the power down a notch.
I love the mopping function too and use it regularly to clean my kitchen floor and it does a great job. I would recommend using this cleaning solution designed for robot vacs-https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08WX8M873?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details.
It’s a German manufacturer and it will last a long time as you only need to put a very small amount in the tank. The tank holds 250ml of fluid and I calculated that it would be best to put just 2.5ml in, I use a medicine syringe. Then I also find that using the sweep and mop function separately works better for me, so set it to sweep first and then change the setting to just mop. When you connect the mop it will automatically change to sweep/mop combined, so you will have to change that yourself in the app. I also allow it to run the mop function twice to obtain near perfect results on my floor and one other thing is that on the mop only function it hardly uses any power at all.
Like all robot vacs it knows when to return to it’s charging base and so long as it’s not too far away and no obstacles it always amazes me how it finds it’s way and settles back on to recharge. The robot vac announces it’s functions in a loud and clear voice and you can adjust the volume of this too.
I suppose the other main thing to mention is the price which I think has always been very competitive and the customer service from Honiture, in my opinion is outstanding. I have dealt with companies recently that have definitely failed in that respect, to me the customer service is as important as the sale.
So all in all I would describe myself as a very happy customer and have a feeling that this won’t be my last purchase from this brand.
