Easy to use, clear display, fits well in hand. Could use better instructions and a case or pouch would be an useful addition. At the price useful tool for remote temperature measurement. I used to map an under floor wet heating system.

Golden Review Award: 2 From Our UsersLove this thermometer. The joy it has brought me is beyond measure. I’ve been roaming the house like a Dickensian spirit praying to the radiator gods “if you are above 50 I will turn vegan”
    “Beep Beep”
My prayers are answered and I move on to the next radiator.
I then realise the radiator gods are wise, and wouldn’t have thrown in a free meat thermometer if they wanted me to be vegan, it’s a double win. It doesn’t get better than this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic - life is good with your laser sighting infrared thermometer.

    My take:

    + Clear colour screen
    + Easy to use
+ AAA batteries (no wierd batteries)
+ Long screen timeout time (20 seconds)

    – Loud beep, that cannot be turned off. (I pried this open and ripped out the speaker and reassembled, still works fine, without making a noise, all at my own risk and voiding warranty)

Don’t know if I’ll use the pin thermostat yet.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works & easy to use, but has annoying lound beep!

The Laser Thermometer is great. I bought it for cooking – it’s really useful for getting frying pans etc. to the right temperature before putting the food in. It’s also useful for checking central heating radiators are getting to the right temperature and balancing the system. Wouldn’t want to be without it now.
The meat thermometer takes at least a minute to give a reading, which isn’t the end of the world for a large joint of meat but useless for a steak. I’ve just bought a meat thermometer for 8.50 that gives a reading in ~3 seconds. Much better!

Great product would recommend it. We use it for our oven to get a temperature reading. The dial on the cooker for the oven only goes up in 50 degrees except for a dot in the middle to mark 25 degrees. So it’s very helpful to get a proper temperature when cooking. Especially when the temperature oven has to be at 180c etc.

Bought this at the same time as buying an Ooni Karu Pizza Oven, obviously they suggest buying the official accessories. I went against that at least with the thermometer. Don’t hesitate in purchasing. It’s accurate (you can tell because the pizza cooks as expected), cheaper than the branded one and the kids love pointing it at literally anything to find out the temperature.

Works exactly as described, I can’t check if the numbers are spot on, but for my purposes, checking temperature of fridge, cooker, xbox, etc. It gave me numbers that were appropriate.

Golden Review Award: 5 From Our UsersIf you have not used one of these before read the instructions. The laser pointer is parallel to the heat sensor so the light is not the point at which the temperature is taken; this makes sense because you may need to hold it at different distances from your target depending on what you use it for. It just means you need to move it around a little to scan your target for temperature. The distance between the sensor and the laser is about 1cm so this is no problem. I got it to help me balance my central heating system. The temperature difference between hot water entering a radiator and leaving it is suppose to be approx 11degrees C when the heating is on. You can get close to this by adjusting the stop valve on the radiator. This device really helped. On the first attempt I have already eliminated the two constantly cold radiators. Two more attempts to tweak the settings should do it. This tool is really useful

Works as described and kids love taking temps of walls, the ground and whatever else! In my opinion this is the same as the thermometer available from a well known pizza oven maker / seller but without thier badging, of course I may be wrong. Right or wrong it is simple to use and essential for checking the oven temperature before putting the dough in to cook.

This starts up quickly and the surface-type adjustments work (I’ve set mine permanently at ‘cooked food’)

If you measure oven temperature, expect variations of 10C depending where you measure. That’s a feature in the variation of materials and ‘hot zones’ so it won’t be a good test overall (mind you oven temps are always a rough indication anyway). I have yet to use it on a plancha (which is why I bought it in the first place) or on heating oil.

The companion thermometer is a cheap gift so don’t expect too much: it is very slow but accurate.

Bought this to use with my ooni pizza oven to make sure it was getting to a high temperature for optimal cooking. Works perfectly and the range is excellent. The meat thermometer was a nice little Brucey bonus. Recommend this!

Temperature gun. I use it for cooking with hot oil. Usually Japanese Kaarage Chicken (deep fried marinated and battered chicken leg pieces). Needs to be at a certain temp, too high and it will bun, too low and the batter will be soggy with oil. This helps me a lot.

This unit is easy to use, I have not decided how good the accuracy is yet. I bought this unit to try and determine the coldest areas in the workshop. It has worked for this use as a comparator, however I do not know if the readings accurate. Recently I found that using the unit outside in the cold slowly gave lower and lower readings, so ambient temperature seems to effect the units readings.

very sturdy, very easy to use,
of course I have no way to check if temperature is 1 or 2 degree below or above the real, but it does the job correctly,
and if I would need a very professional temperature control, I would never buy a 20 pound tool, but Iwill got for a certified professional usage equipment.

So to do the job in a cheap way this is eprfec

I brought this so we could gauge heat in our oven, as we thought we had a heating element issue, although that wasn’t the case in the end. Subsequently we use this on checking meat on a roast or on BBQ food or the Pizza oven temperature, which have all proved quite useful, one thing I would like to do is turn off the beep, but haven’t found if that is possible, we have found it to be fairly accurate, no more is it or isn’t cooked moments.

Golden Review Award: 3 From Our UsersIf you’re looking for an infrared thermometer this is a very good one to go for. However the thing holding it back from a 5-star review is the probe. I bought this for the probe originally and the IR was just a bonus; if you’re looking for a probe I would recommend finding a more decent and well made one.

The probe seems to need way longer than necessary in order to display the actual temperate of the food. Even if the internal temperature of your food is at a safe temperature (minimum 75C), the probe will increase two or three numbers per second and if it’s going to stop short then there is no way to tell but wait and observe if the increase is slowing down or comes to a halt. This seems very impractical for a chef like myself. If you’re not bothered by this then go for it. It’s a probe and it works, but it’s too slow for my liking.

Good thermometer – bit difficult to read outdoors. Thought the inverse LED would have better contrast but it doesn’t. Bought this to use on an outdoor pizza oven but hard to read if the sun is shining. Also there is no way to turn off the sounder which beeps every time you take a reading and can be a bit annoying. Some of the readings around ambient or lower seem a bit inconsistent but results at higher temperatures seem to be better.

Have not used the food thermometer it came with but this looks ok for a bundled component.
