I love my dryer I can take over 2 hours if your clothes are think like coats and jeans. Because of this I just let the dryer on all night and I have dry clothes in the morning. I noticed with hoodies the hood doesn’t always dry I turn it upside down on a hanger and it drys quickly.

same set of clothes can be dries in 1.5 hours, vs 6 hours, depending on how evenly, and carefully you hang them
a) Yes, a 1500W fan heater which is basically what this is, is cheaper to run per hour that a 2000W tumble drier which is also basically a fan heater.
b) The volume of a tumble drier is smaller than this and the clothes are constantly moving about in the hot air but in this unit, hot air can rush past the clothes and out th top without actually drying anything.
c) The energy it takes to dry a piece of clothing is fixed and it will take longer to dry is the energy is delivered more slowly.
So all in all, this is not a cheap alternative to a tumble drier.
However, it is good in drying things that should not be tumbled or things that do not like the higher temperatures in them.
Now to this unit.
It’s good but my item has had some issues.
The bag which goes over the top had a manufacturing defect -a big one side panel got sewn into the edge so the zip would not do up. Easy to fix if you know your way around a sewing machine.
However, once all built, it was very hard to take apart and the plastic pieces were surprisingly fragile.
Be warned! Disassembly is very difficult and things break!
Received it speedily and in good order. Compact in size and yet tall enough to hang two levels of clothes, exactly what I needed. Checked the items are in order and tested the dryer is working, not too noisy. Its for our new home so will leave full review later. So far feeling good about the delivered product.
