I got this for my son’s bed after being disappointed with several budget mattresses. I highly recommend investing in a good topper as the change in comfort is unreal. My teenage son struggles with getting too hot in your sleep and this calling feature is amazing. He’s very happy

Have had it laid out for about 6 hours, and it’s puffed out over the day! Smell is slightly toxic, but hopefully that will go.
Really impressed so far! Exactly what we were looking for to raise my current mattress and give my back a little extra support!

But not if you’re looking to sleep on just this, without an additional mattress underneath.
I think the price point is fair and reasonable as it’s much cheaper than a replacement mattress while providing all the benefit of one. I also like the fact it adds a bit of height to the bed making it easier to get into. Very pleased with the topper and highly recommend it.
The instructions said to let the mattress expand for 72 hours but I only gave it one night and it was pretty puffed. This topper is slightly above medium firmness, which I absolutely love. You don’t get sucked into it, there are puddles it just bounces right back up and gives plenty of support and forms a shape just enough to your body instead of having a feeling of being dipped in. It stays cool, which was my worry initially that it might heat up, because I have a very springy hollow mattress at the bottom that keeps the air circulating or may be the material this is made of is meant to stay cool but it’s great. We have extra deep sheets as our previous mattress was really thick but even then with our current mattress and this on top the sheets are just a cm or two short. So be vary of that. The bed seems a bit too high initially but you get used to it eventually.
I just hope it stays durable and lasts a few years but so far I’m extremely impressed with this and have had some of the best sleep in a long time. And a little proud of myself for buying this and saving some money instead of going for another expensive mattress.
I opted for the 8cm thick one as I wasn’t convinced, from looking at the pictures, that all the “marketing fluff” in the advert was representational. And it isn’t, in my opinion. The “charcoal bamboo foam” or something – they’ve removed that from the description now – is just cheap foam, it would seem, but I’m not an expert. It feels less firm than the gel topping, not more firm which the advert said.. The top “gel foam” layer is very pleasant though. Squidgy. Not sure this thing should be called “memory foam” but it is OK whatever it is.
The mattress arrived in a much smaller box than I was expecting. It was vacuum packed, folded in half long-ways and rolled up. Opening the polythene started the expansion process but it became immediately apparent that the was going to be a massive crease down the length and initially I wondered if this was a fault as it was a bulbous ridge. Hard to describe, but imagine a hard-back book which you have opened out fully and laid paper side down on a table. The ridge is much like the book’s spine in that image. So I began manipulating it with my hands, trying to massage it flat. It was a warm day and the room it’s in is very warm anyway, so the mattress started fluffing up quite quickly. With massaging, pulling, and even folding backwards ACCROSS the ridge, it began to disappear. But there is still a significant crease there the next day. I see now that several people are complaining that theirs never went away and some of the pictures look terrible. Mine is not as bad as that.
I actually slept on it to test it! It does feel very comfortable and improves the harshness of our sofa-bed immensely.
BUT… When I bought this it was 66 which I think was a fairly reasonable price for this item. It has now gone up significantly for some reason and I would not buy it at the current price. You can get classier alternatives for that.
Marketing:
There’s a lot of fancy marketing behind this topper, and I was foolish enough to fall for it. What you are buying for this 8cm topper is ~2cm of memory foam, on top of ~6 cm of normal foam. If “Bamboo Charcoal Support” sounds good, well it doesn’t seem any different than cheap Polyurethane foam that’s colored grey. It’s not even good PU foam, and doesn’t offer much in support. To be clear, it is not memory foam. Just think of that soft yellow foam you might see popping out of ruined furniture at the dump. As for the Gel Memory foam, yes it’s memory foam. As for the heat dispersion, I found no such thing. My mattress is far warmer with this topper on, than without. I don’t mind this, but don’t buy the advertising.
There should be a video in the reviews to show the diffenence between the foam layers. You can see the PU foam expanding immediately, and the memory foam slowly rising if you’re confused about this.
Quality:
There are several issues here. Something I noticed right away is that micro-tears (~1cm) started to develop on the gel memroy foam. I have other memory foam toppers that have last 8+ years without developing this, and these tears developed within days of use. Don’t expect this topper to last forever. Second, the memory foam and underlying foam layers are seperating on one side. This can be seen in the attached photos. It seems that on one side of the mattress they are somehow glue-sealed. This is the picture with a lighter grey line that looks like an additional 2 middle layers in between the dark grey and blue one. This seal does not exist on the other side, you can see this in the photo where the layers are coming apart. This is a manufacturing/finishing problem and should be fixed.
Other Notes:
You will have to let this expand upon arrival. Mine expanded to 90% in the first 24 hours, but 3 months later there is still that middle bulge you can find in other picture reviews. Mine is not as excessive and doesn’t have an impact on quality though. The smell was fine, even upon arrival.
Overall:
While this did improve the comfort of my mattress somewhat, there are definitely better solutions. I wish I had know the “Bamboo Charcoal Support” was just cheap foam stuck to the bottom to make this topper seem a more impressive height at 8cm. I would not buy this again. Instead I would look for an all memory foam mattress topper.

I had a different inofa mattress topper on my single bed. I decided to upgrade to a double bed and got this one as it was on sale at the time I was buying it. it came vacuum sealed so it appeared too small at first and took more than 24 hours to fully inflate. It has a nasty crease in the middle for about a week but has gone away and is now completely smooth. It is extremely comfortable and provides a nice layer of comfort for me as I sleep and I am happy with it from a comfort standpoint. However, it slides around on top of my mattress. My old topper had a rough surface on the bottom and corner straps that held it in place. This one does not have that which can be a bit annoying as I have to re-center it every week or so when I change my sheets. Food for thought!
**1 month in** genuinely do not have any back pain at all from my awful mattress (which is fit for the bin). I 100% recommend this if you can’t afford a new mattress right now, or just want a more comfortable nights sleep. I even bought one for my nan because it’s so comfortable
