It’s a charging cable, so there’s not a lot to say. The cable works as expected, charges and syncs without any error messages on my work iPhone XR, the cable feels very close to an expensive first party Apple cable and should last just as long, although a braided cable would be more durable. As this is a lightning cable, you’re limited by the port to 20W charging, but that’s faster than a conventional USB-A to lightning cable.

I did not think a charge lead made too much difference but as I have learnt it does. Although I did not time it, I put my phone on charge with the Bigear lead at 41% and I expected it to have gone to 60% plus, but found it had reached 81%.
So if you have a fast charger and don’t use a fast charge lead you might as well use a standard charger.
As folk become more and more dependent upon their smartphones the ability to reduce charging times is essential. The Bigear charging lead is part of the solution, plus the price is competitive and is less than the price of a pint of beer! A 5 star product.

I got this to backup my iPhone to my Chromebook. Plugged the USB C connector into my Chromebook and the lightning connector into my iPhone and chose the Allow access on my iPhone. I could then see the iPhone’s DCIM folder in a Files app on my Chromebook. I could then copy the photos/videos from the iPhone to my Chromebook although if I tried to copy all the folders at once it crashed my Chromebook. When I copied each folder in the iPhone’s DCM folder individually it was fine. I don’t think this has anything to do with the lead though. I also noted that my iPhone had started to charge up too but I don’t know if this takes any longer than any other lead.
Other than that it works well enough, is well packaged and well made so I’m happy with the lead.
(Note, I believe there’s an app called ‘google one’ that enables other things to be backed up from an iPhone but I have not downloaded that as there are reports that it doesn’t work well with a chromebook but is okay with Windows)
