I really like the way it actually shows the diagram of the charging level. It makes it easy to know how much more charging it needs before I pull the plug. It’s also very small in size, perfect travel size as it’s very lightweight. If only one of the charging cords are built in-to the charger, but nonetheless, remember to bring the usbc cord or usbc to usb-a cord + a charging adapter with you or else you won’t be able to charge it.
The charger feels cheap and plasticky, but it does the job. I can charge two Sony NP-FW50 simultaneously, which is excellent for my needs. The LCD screen provides real-time battery status on both batteries. You can use a micro USB or a USB-C cable, but you only get the type C cable included, which is excellent. Great value for the money.
This comes in bright orange retail packaging, although the thin card box does little to protect the contents.
Inside is a pretty standard double-charger, with the addition of a USB-C charging port, and you get a USB-C to USB-A cable. Neither this nor the micro-USB offers fastcharging. The maximum you will get is 700mA when charging one battery, or 500mA per battery when charging both.
The indicator lights are fine and do the job well. The overall build quality is decent, it feels solid and doesn’t flex at all when squeezed.
The price of this is 17 (plus 10% discount via voucher), which I think is okay for what you get.
The K&F Concept NP-FW50 Battery Charger with LCD Screen is a game-changer for Sony camera enthusiasts. Designed for models like A7, A6000 series, and more, this charger ensures your camera never misses a moment.
The LCD screen provides real-time battery status, while the Micro USB and Type-C compatibility offer versatile charging options. Whether you’re a seasoned photographer or a casual shooter, the convenience of this charger stands out.
Compact, reliable, and efficient, this K&F Concept charger deserves its place in every photographer’s kit. Keep your Sony camera powered up and ready to capture life’s beautiful moments with this essential accessory.
The NP-FW50 is a common, if not too small battery for the older line of Sony DSRL, and as such, will discharge much faster than their latest upgraded counterparts. That means a constant cycle of them is required to keep your setup (which by now, in 2023, is old), going.
This double charging dock is handy – not least for having more recent USB-C compatibility so more modern cables are compatible. There’s a snug fit for the battery to ensure maximum contact without slippage, helping to ensure minor knocks won’t cut off your charge halfway through.
Now there are some downfalls: Firstly, it’s likely you’ll need a laptop with a USB-C port handy to plug the charger into – there’s no wall adaptor, which is fair play considering we’ve lived through a generation of having wall adaptors packaged with every device sold to us, so it’s almost certain you will have one spare (or an alternative USB Micro cable lying around); but also, despite an improved USB interface, the charging voltage isn’t increased, with 700mA charging one battery still being decreased to 500mA when charging simultaneously.
This K&F’s charger form factor also shares a peculiar familiarity with my Neewer charger, down to base shape, charging display and port positioning, with the labelling for this one including double insulation logos. Reassuring, but with the other similarities, who would notice the difference.
A handy spare charger stripped back to just the basics – make sure you’ve the spare charging ports or a wall adaptor free though!
Basic 5V 2.1A to 8.4V charger with duel USB-C and Micro-B inputs.
It’s pretty essential to own a couple of these if your an older A6000 series or A7 series owner, this charger has changed my batterys over 30 times without issues.
This little charger is quite versatile, coming with both USB-C and micro-USB ports to plug into. Note that the package comes with a USB-C to USB-A cable.
Twin lights on the front of the charger show you charging status. A neat little charger for your camera batteries.
Having a lot of camera batteries, its always a pain having to wait for one set of batteries to charge before I can charge my next set. This little charger helps me speed up time. charges at the same rate as my other charger. Not fast, not slow. Its actually fairly small so is ideal for travelling. From a trusted company from who I have brought many products off before. Would reccommend.
